- We’ve been playing this cover since we started to be a band, and recorded it this year visiting a friend’s studio in Nashville. We filmed the take on all of our different camera phones, edited together by Charlotte Abroms. Feels nice to capture something without stressing over it. Thanks to Ben Cramer and Owen Lewis for recording this and giving us such a nice visit to their studio, to Charlotte for the idea, to Stevie Nicks for my favourite song.

there’s such a specific emotion attached to silver springs that’s hard to put into words. loving someone so deeply that they feel inseparable from your own person and the desperation that comes with the shattering of all the dreams you had about being with them. but also the exhilarating and liberating feeling of teetering on the realization of just how much space they’d leave in your life when you let go of loving them and all the possibilities before you of who you can become in that new space? and yet at the end of the day still needing to know that the love was once real and the boldness it takes to assert to the other person and even to yourself that it was real because it was real to you, even if it was unrequited. anyways her voice captures it really well and it suits the song beautifully
Summed it up well. Not to mention the indelible, ghost-like mark it will leave on the ex-partner ("you will never get away from the sound of a woman who loved you"). Sometimes, a person's love is doomed to fail, nonetheless it will still haunt that once-loved object forever.

Oh yes I Agree, My Ex Left me after 12 years Living together. It was the Hardest thing I've ever been through. This song Silver Springs really brings all my feelings of Heartbreak, Betrayal out everytime I hear it, It's been 22 years since he split, the Hardest part is the memories of Good times. Sometimes there seems to be more pain with Love than Happiness.

I love this version because it gives it a more sad raw emotion. I imagine it almost as she's alone drunk at 2 am singing with anger&frustration about her lost love that couldn't be.
The reason why this cover is so good is because it doesn't try to recreate Stevie Nick's performance. You'll never live up to it, nor will anyone. Just like how Disturbed's cover of The Sound of Silence was so great and Indigo Girls' version of Romeo and Juliet rocked, you make the song your own, and you do a good spin on it-one that actually makes sense for the tone, emotion, and weight of the song. Kudos!

There are occasionally covers where you stop and say "Holy Crap, that was amazing". This is one of those moments. I am an outdoorsman and my channel is about hunting and fishing and I get inspiration from others who are passionate about their work and this literally made the hair stand up on the back of my neck. I just discovered this song several days ago, despite Fleetwood Mac being one of my favorite bands. Something to do with the fact it wasn't really put on an album i guess. But it has quickly become my favorite along with the Go your own way and Rhiannon. Nice cover guys.

At first yup I wanted to "get away from the sound of the woman" whose song began really badly (sounding very much like an extremely drunk chick whose throat contracts & tightens too much as she strains to distortedly spew out the words 'think I'm gonna puke' just as she starts to do so). BUT.. after the rough start, she did not puke and the higher levels of her voice quickly became quite interesting & uniquely lovely, leaving the listener conflicted...maybe I do not want to "get away from the sound of the woman" so much after all.
