  • the SWAFAN EX 12 RGB PC case fan offers a couple of unique features. It's a modular fan design which will greatly help with cable management, 3 fans on each single cable. The fans and control cable magnetically attach in a simple but strong installation method.
    This eliminates alot of the fuss with other RGB fan systems.
    Second, it offers a reversibile fan blade in the package which will allow you to reverse the airflow on the fan if desired. This also allows for ease of cleaning.
    This Kit includes 3 fans, 3 reverse blades, the controller, 3 cables, oil and all mounting screws and hook and loop tape.

    I have been struggling with these fans for the past week. No matter what I do to fix the problem, I keep getting 0 RPM so they are not spinning nor is the RGB working… yet it’s synced up to the software. 🤩

      Hi noodsoof541, i'm assuming you are using this version in the video that is using the Thermaltake Controller. And it sounds like TTRGB Plus is detecting the controller. I would start by powering off, disconnecting the controller from power, then reconnect, use a different sata connector if possible and retry. Do you get any activity on startup?
      If not, Id' start with using a single fan at a time, try the different cables that came with the kit, so one fan and one cable at a time and see if you get any activity. Perhaps it's a bad cable or a single bad fan causing them all to fail.
      If all fans and all cables don't do the trick, Try different ports in the controller, one fan and one cable at a time. If nothing works, try changing the dip switches on the controller itself and remove any other daisy chained controllers. I would contact Thermaltake at that point, might be a bad controller on the 12v side.
      Good Luck, let me know what you find, thanks for watching!!!

      @@HardwareArtisan Thank you so much for the advice! I did try all of these to see if it helped or did anything. Unfortunately, nothing seemed to help make these fans receive power. (I’m blaming the 4-pin molex at this point.) I ended up returning all the TT fans and got some different ones from NZXT which are working. After many countless trials and mysteries, and getting help from many of my tech savvy friends, those fans will remain a mystery…

    Your efforts in creating this content are truly appreciated. I find myself contemplating the acquisition of these fans, though the investment is considerable, roughly $600. I would greatly appreciate a more in-depth exploration of the related software, as well as the variety of available RGB themes. This additional information could indeed aid in my decision-making process. Thank you! Love the content.

      Hi Shaka215, I appreciate the feedback, thanks for your support. I have been thinking about doing a more in depth-review of the TT RGB Plus as it pertains to these fans. I'll put that together. It might take a week or so, but keep an eye out. Thanks for watching!!!

    If I buy this pack is possible to use 2 of these fans in the front and the other one for the back? Or do i need to use they all tohether? Thanks.

    • @HardwareArtisan
      @HardwareArtisan  Před 8 měsíci +2

      Hi robertotorresmartinez8344, you do not need to have them all together. Thermaltake provides 3 power/control cables, so you can use each of them seperately if needed. For your case, using 2 together and one by itself will work great. Great question, thanks for watching!!!

    • @HardwareArtisan
      @HardwareArtisan  Před 10 měsíci

      Hi pandabeastzyt2065, this controller is using a Molex power connector. It's an older connector, but your power supply should have one. If it's a modular supply it will have come with at least one molex cable..it's not used as often anymore..but it's still in use. They do make sata to molex adapters, but I would recommend a native molex cable from your power supply. I hope that helps. Good luck and have fun! Thanks for watching!!

    If only 1 person reviewing this product would show the rgb header connection to the motherboard so you would know if you have capable motherboard for this product

    • @HardwareArtisan
      @HardwareArtisan  Před 7 měsíci

      Hi acemcgillicutty4420, unfortunately the SWAFAN EX fans do not sync with your motherboard, so there was no connection to show in the video. These fans require the thermaltake controller to work and this controller does not have a motherboard sync capability.
      I did recently review the TTSYNC device from thermaltake which allows you to sync many thermaltake fans to your motherboard, but it does not work with the SWAFAN EX series fans, hopefully at some point thermaltake will give us a device that allows these fans to sync with a motherboard RGB header or other controller.
      I hope that helps, thanks for watching!!!
