    True, you have an uphill battle but hang in there. If you're like me the heat is something I can't tolerate these days. Getting older is tough! I'm sure there are plenty experts out there talking smack about how you're doing this,but lets face it,this is one rough mofo. Anything you do is an improvement. I'm all for you my friend . I'm a retired body-paint guy but still have a shop full of my Mopars to work on. Got 2 roadrunners,a 69 polara cop car and my 57 plymouth savoy 2 door. Have fun with it. Keep going with this. I never thought I would enjoy watching someone cut bar stock in real time, lol. I’m no fan of these vehicles.. I’ve seen rarer and more desirable vehicles scrapped that weren’t as bad as this. I would have liked to see a 57 Studebaker or Packard that was like this. However you’re creativity and that you are going to try to “scratch a vehicle out of a vehicle” has got me wanting to follow this story.

    Yep...lol I need a COMPLETE year off at least from everything to focus on a 63 Grand Prix I pulled from this fellas property. Changing out the frame on it, because it was originally from Washington state and perhaps made its way to New York and finally to S. Florida where she had been staged on a wooden plank trailer under a cover for about 10 years. So you can imagine how she looks..almost compared to your project. Rusted frame so bad that the transmission cross support rusted off and fell down once I started to transfer her off the old trailer to mine. BUT! she is a complete numbers matching car with of course a trunk full of goods and she actually ran when I got her home with a little cleaning up. I got a good frame from California and am SLOWLY get her back to where she needs to be...on the road. Doing all this in my driveway under a carport..lol
    Keep up the good work man. Remember anything is fixable...as long as you have the time, patience and some $$.

    I see “restorable” ‘57-59 Plymouths come up for sale fairly regularly these days. They are usually in deplorable condition and the seller wants tens of thousands of dollars for them, all because of the Christine movie! I always wonder where these cars were 35 years ago when they nearly never came up for sale? Then I look at the photos in the ad and it becomes obvious where they were 35 years ago! Left for dead in a forest somewhere! They are cool old cars but completely overvalued due to a 40 year old movie.

    • @RottenBuick
      @RottenBuick  Před 20 dny +1

      @@brianandrews7099 well. A true Plymouth fury would hold value regardless of the film. Simply based on the performance of the car. They were definitely muscle cars before their time.

    No one is expecting you to have this car done snap of your fingers fast. You didn't get a lot done, and that's ok. You did something. The car is a wreck, and I'm surprised someone would take it as a project without having a big shop and a metric fuckton of tools. Best of luck with it, and don't forget: if customizations make it run, go ahead. I doubt people would hate it if this car got a cubic inch hemi with an 8 3/4 and a torqueflite trans.
