GumiYeet Legend same. I really want to learn spinning with a reverse grip and while turning around but can’t seem to find any tutorials on those things.
I like how you mentioned exercise. This is good for the joints, hand-eye coordination, reflexes, speed, and upper body strength(although marginally). And it's fun!
It's great for upper body strength if you have a full size saberpike. Not so great for your jaw if you're a beginner and are doing it in the dark though.
So happy to come back to so many views and thank you so much for your interest. I've been training for months and ready to continue! So stoked to show you more - new video will be out today!
I call the ‘3 point snake’ a senseless spin, as I learned it from SabreProject. It’s probably the most important and best spin out there, as well as the fastest one when you do it right. A few things though: 1) I’ve never heard of using your fingers to push the spin, I just use the rotation of my hand to turn it not my actual fingers. The fingers are only useful when inverting or spinning it through your fingers. 2) For a lot of these spins you mention keeping it as close to your body as possible, yet then don’t do that. I guess it does usually come through practice but once you’ve got more of that you’ll have them much tighter, especially that senseless spin. 3) Finally someone agrees with me on the grip! I hate how some people hold the sabre near the bottom. I’ve found that my grip can slip when spinning at high speeds so I occasionally hold it by the blade just above the hilt, using the hilt to stop my hand slipping. This puts my grip almost exactly on the centre of mass and allows for even higher speeds.
I liked all of your ideas for future videos stated at the end. I'm currently making a trip from 286 (currently at 255) pounds to 200 pounds and would love to throw things like this in my workouts.
This is why I recommend working out at stay-at-home during quarantine, the beach at mid-noon, or at the gym (empty studio). I'm practicing right now. Thanks and stay safe!
Awesome! I was trying your tricks with my machete but it's really not easy especially since the blade is quite heavy and wide so it's not really ideal for handling, your lightsaber should probably be a little / a lot lighter 😅 but the litte lesson were really cool and interesting 👍
How do you work on the forward spin. I can do the back spin okay - yes easier than forward - but still feel totally uncoordinated. Any suggestions/help?
I wish he spent more time on the reverse figure 8. That one im having the most trouble with. For some reason that isn't nearly as easy as the forward one
Saberforge, ultra sabers... there’s a few more sellers but you can also make em w PVC or aluminum and polycarbonate tubing w LED lights but it’s easier defo to buy one x3 plus the bought ones are better weighted for tricks.
Spinning i’ll try, good trick it is

Out of all the videos out there, this one was the most helpful for a basic starter such as myself

Yes! Now I can become the Grievous
This is neat. I believe people call the snake spin the Obi-Ani, because of when they are just intimidating eachother during that fight

I already knew that thought it was something else xD

Machetes are pretty different, but you can still do badass things with them.

Whenever I try the weave I always wind up hurting the bone in my thumb. im I doing it wrong?
May I ask where you got your saber?
Where did you buy that sabre?
Oi.....post more of this lightsaber combos UwU 🙇♀️🙋♀️
does this work with cheap plastic sabers or do we need the high tech ones?
Any saber or staff, even a long stick lol
You’re supposed to spread/open your hand to allow the saber to rotate between the fingers
I certainly don’t use the fingers when spinning. Where have you heard that?
GingerSabre my bad, I meant you spread your fingers during an orbit to allow more room in the space between your index and thumb
aah the spinning is hardddddddd
Trying to do the "Figure 8 weave" is giving me such a headache. Help me.
After a while watching people using lightsabers, I realize that lightsabers are just katana but way more badass
They're...well lightsabers are unlike any bladed weapon really in many good ways and a few bad ways.
It’s 5o’clock am and I have people sleeping in the room next to me and I basically everything loud that I could hit in a 3x3 radius. Oofffff
I learned from the prequels around 5 or 6
is this like a bo staff? also where can I get one
Yea
Check out Michelle Christa Smith's tutorials. She's awesome!
I somehow taught myself how to do the figure 8 and the forward and backward spin. My friends said that at first they were hard I-
Is it normal to have you inner knuckle hurt, if so will it go away?
Seya Sanchez yes it’s normal and yes it goes away
Dickhead Anonymous thank you
I'M USING A CROSSGUARD TO DO THIS
I wish he spent more time on the reverse figure 8. That one im having the most trouble with. For some reason that isn't nearly as easy as the forward one
It's not difficult. It's the same motion as the forward figure 8
Where can I get a Lithgful and good looking saber like the one in the video?
u may a saberforge?
Saberforge, ultra sabers... there’s a few more sellers but you can also make em w PVC or aluminum and polycarbonate tubing w LED lights but it’s easier defo to buy one x3 plus the bought ones are better weighted for tricks.
What model of saber is that? :o
obi wan's
Where did you get your saber?
shop
Your lightsaber looks very real. Is it edited?
Bruh it looks like a regular lighsaber it's not edited. You probably just have a low standard for brightness
They make some super cool ones nowadays though they can get quite expensive
2:29 HOW?!?!
May or may not be crying out of frustration, becuse my dyslexia cant comprehend the hand movements. I think I've got it then I realise I havnt
Is that a US dark dorinian?
