Yeahhhh but that scripture says the word of God.. not someone who is walking around calling themselves a prophet. The word of God will pierce but not in a way to tear you down. It actually builds you up

It’s very important to read the Bible for yourself, because although she says some powerful words, we need to understand how to go to the Bible to and make sense of it on our own (discernment)…so many people refer to themselves as a prophet, but just remember God can give the prophecy to ANYONE and that person may never refer to themselves as a prophet…
Right so anyone can exhort, comfort, edify, many have dreams, visions and give words of knowledge. But a PROPHET as she said and as the word says, in Jeremiah, does much more they are called to “confront”, to “tear down” what should have never been built up, “root out”, then “replace” what God desires to be there. This is so true..As a prophet, I had to learn this because I always felt I was doing something wrong. Others would uplift or encourage. I always seen to bring a word of correction or order during my time to minister. I had to learn who I was in God

I’m so glad someone took of the difference and I also need people to understand the difference between false prophets and real prophets 💯 it’s not hard to identify even if you’re naive. I’ve had a gift since I was a child and I was aware of it at 15. I’m 27 now and it seems like it’s stronger but since I’m not in church I just let it flow and go on but it’s not a joke and it’s very weary on your soul if you’re unaware or don’t acknowledge it. And for those who are stuck on the verbiage then go under a rock. What she’s saying is prophets tell you what’s needed not what you need to hear (like pastors) they give you the word of god which might be exposing a secret, or setting something straight while a pastor may be telling you the opposite message.
Some of the PROPHETS are Jesus, Mosses, Noah, Solomon, David, Lot, Abraham and more. May peace be upon them all. And Muhammad peace be upon him was LAST and FINAL Messenger AND PROPHET. There are lots of spiritually gifted people, however it doesn't mean that they are prophets. They've changed, edited and revised the Bible and the Torah, hence the reason alot of the people are misled, even rendering some delusional. May GOD guide us all.

My grandmother was a godly woman... She was a kind soul and very soft spoken at that but if you need to hear the truth she ain't holding back, she does it in such a manner that you are definitely going to sit down and think about it. You know it hits home but she was never the one to force something down your throat. Once she says something, she's going to leave it to you to make your choice and she's not the I told you so person. She will lift you up when the times come. My grandparents was the most blessed beings I was blessed with... Miss them alot.

I've never had any church actually help or take care of me in my time of need. They drop you as fast as they can when you actually need them. Most pastors are failing greatly. It's why no one goes to church anymore.

Pastors preach prophetically, too. Pastors still have to preach the unadulterated word of God. Don't use a title to justify meanness. You gave your description, not the biblical description. A prophet can FORE-tell or FORTH-tell. Forth-telling usually deals with judgment, but can also be times of comforting (see Jeremiah 29:11 and note the circumstances i.e. looming Babylonian captivity). Fore-telling is predicting a future event. Refer to Jeremiah 29 here as well because Jeremiah predicted both the Babylonian exile and the duration (70 years). There was no "meanness" here, only truth, and a reminder not to believe ANY prophet who said that captivity wasn't coming (peace and safety) or that it would last for a time less than 70 years. We forget that we are called to speak the truth IN LOVE and that our words are to be seasoned with salt so that they are GRACE to the hearer. Every prophet was a communicator for God. Yes, wrath and judgment were prophesied, sometimes with brutal honesty, but the love of God was also communicated with the call for repentance. Think about Elijah at Mt. Carmel. He pleaded with the people to return to God, and did so modestly, not angrily or with a spirit of animosity. His goal was God's goal, to reclaim those who were lost to idolatry. We all have a lot to learn, some refuse to learn, some think they have it all figured out. When it comes to The Almighty, none of us can speak with such confidence as if we have it all mastered, or that we know all of his ways. Paul said it plainly, his judgments are unsearchable, and His ways are unfathomable! We must all walk humbly before Him!

Anyone can be a prophet. Prophet just means to prophesize, to tell. Be careful. Prophets take your resources. Go to God directly. No human has a monopoly, not Mose, not Elijah, not Daniel, not Paul, non of the prophets of old.

I don't really see how she is flaunting it to the whole world. It's okay to share what gifts God or Jesus gave us with others, as it helps demonstrate what God can also give to other people if they follow Him as well. It is a good example of spreading the Gospel in the sense of helping others become aware of the Gifts from the Holy Spirit and help guide them towards finding their gifts by asking God about it. I do see where it may also come off as prideful.
That’s why these churches are overflowing, because some people love lies. If the pastors were to speak truth, they would no longer be able to keep up appearances with the mansions, fancy clothes, cars and million dollar weddings for their children.
My grandmother said the Holy Spirit gives you boldness. There’s definitely a difference. That boldness will cut, and if you’re not discerning it may even seem unkind, but the job has to get done.

Thank you for this comment. Sometimes I beat myself up for being this way... But it has always been my nature. I have a nurturing side but all my life, I've had these qualities, and Idk how else to word it .... The reactions of others to me having these qualities... I let their reactions make me feel wrong.. even when I've been told sometimes we are just here to trigger something in others that can, yes cut, but make them better and heal if they allow themselves to do so. Not that we are always right, though we are not always wrong.

She is correct. But a prophet does not preach or prophet from a church. As a pastor does. They should not have a flock. No offering to be taken up. So if she is doing this from a church as a pastor she is wrong. A prophet is basically the people you see on the street telling you Jesus is coming they function in that type role. God did not give us the power to chastise because of the planks in our own eye. We are all sinners so what sinner has the right to chastise another sinner. Jesus was not a sinner but he experienced the challenges of being in the flesh. Proverbs is about how to talk to people even when they are wrong or making things up as they go. You hold a morsel in your mouth before you speak because your inheritance is on the line if you cause strife in your speech. This is also why he said to correct people with the words from the book and not your own explanation. Thank you. It’s not about the office if the Holyspirit is working in you you should be able to produce His fruits. A prophet must come with a new and true message to help the people. So many call themselves prophets nowadays while they are just interpreting the bible differently or testifying. People want to be praised and admired so they call themselves whatever they would like to be but it does not make it true!

She makes some valid points. I mean there is cutting and tearing down, then rebuilding. However, delivery can be smoother. I try my best to be tender when I tell someone what the Holy Spirit shared with me. The information may be painful, but it can come from a place of love and decency, tact. There is a way to be straightforward without being vicious. Season those words with grace. Now when you’re dealing with a spirit, ain’t no nice. But we have to simultaneously minister to the individual. Many of our church wounds come from five-fold leaders who have a gift and a calling, but lack good manners.

you are right, we are supposed to love but the Lord also leads His servants to rebuke sin without apologies. Look at how Peter rebuked Simon the sorcerer or even Ananias, yet he was an apostle. The Holy Spirit has zero tolerance for those who want to mix Christ and sin.
God's warnings, his truth, his judgement, his directions are not always nice or sound nice to us. Sharing the hard truth is not the absence of love, quite the opposite. Real love tells the truth, even if it hurts.

Here is the "acid test" of whether a prophet is a prophet of God or not. If a prophet prophesies and what they prophesied about turns out to be incorrect, they cannot POSSIBLY be a prophet of God, because God cannot ever be wrong. She is not a prophet... but maybe a teacher. And by the way, ANY Christian that is walking with God, does so gently, like Jesus. Calling yourself a prophet does NOT give you license to tear anyone down.
