  • A few minutes of the lovely Rapido model of the 1837 steam loco "Lion" on my layout with a Hornby coach and two wagons for their version of the "Lion". Please note that unfortunately our two cockatiels were making a noise during filming which I didn't notice at the time on some of the clips so I hope you don't find it too annoying or distracting. There is another clip from the forthcoming Southern Electric video at the end of the clip for you to see. Please give me a thumbs up if you do manage to enjoy the video despite Gorgeous and Brucie the cockatiels !

Nice to see a tiny engine on your railway. I don't mind EMUs, I prefer them to be in BR Blue & Grey. An unusual pair of Mk. 1 coaches is coming my way. First is the Chocolate & Cream Buffet Car from Hattons' final closing down sale, and second is an Intercity Brake Coach from ebay. I think this is about the weirdest model carriage pairing I've ever gone for.

    Looks great.
Certainly looks the part on your layout.
    Out of my budget sadly.
    Stay safe and happy modelling

Lion looks a great model - it seems now that nearly every era of Britain’s railways are now covered Stewart! The only problem I could see with running Lion, would be the outside motion and platform clearances. But it seems you don’t have that worry - I found that out with my Bachmann Dukedog and it’s outside motion clipping my platforms resulting in emergency trackwork!
That SR Booster loco you’ve got there Stewart looks hugely impressive - I understand there have been issues with that squealing on 2nd radius track. I’d be interested in your thoughts on your grey version. Can’t wait for your SR EMU and electric loco extravaganza 😃either.
And I couldn’t really hear those chatty cockatiels. Always enjoy your vids. Cheers Stewart👍🏻

Thanks for the great support you give me Andrew, it was certainly a surprise when the booster loco's were announced and that they arrived shortly afterwards, if I can afford it I would like to get another one in a different livery to keep it company ! All the best Stewart

No need to apologise about the birds. I also need to buy some coaches to go behind my Lion locomotive. For what they cost, i think Rapido should have included a loco crew if nothing else.

I think your right , I had a mate who did the figures you see on the footplate in the video, thanks for watching, Stewart
