- "The Idea of You" centers on Solène, a 40-year-old single mom who begins an unexpected romance with 24-year-old Hayes Campbell, the lead singer of August Moon, the hottest boy band on the planet. When Solène must step in to chaperone her teenage daughter’s trip to the Coachella Music Festival after her ex bails at the last minute, she has a chance encounter with Hayes and there is an instant, undeniable spark. As they begin a whirlwind romance, it isn’t long before Hayes’ superstar status poses unavoidable challenges to their relationship, and Solène soon discovers that life in the glare of his spotlight might be more than she bargained for.

Annie and Nicholas made these characters so freaking real, tears just started flowing at the end of the movie. Love this movie.
Great chemistry… actually smoking hot chemistry, Wowzer! I’m 52 and loved this movie, my daughter is 30 and loved it as well. So definitely for all adult ages.

I can't believe the interviewer didn't ask the followup question of what the song was Nick played for Annie during their chemistry test! What chemistry, tho ❤ & such beautiful direction! So glad moments of intimacy, esp the first kiss, were allowed to happen without underlying music. It draws us in & creates a reverent hush. Just a lovely film on every level.
So, it seems there have been 2 songs. One in which he (quote) ‘serenaded’ her and one in which he was supposed to make her dance.
The latter was revealed in a podcast:

12:52 Crazy thing is this aspect of their relationship wouldn't be talked about at all if the roles were reversed. I liked that this movie addressed the age gap head on and the criticism that comes with it, and what I also want now are more films where the woman is older and it's seen as just as normal as older man/younger woman relationships, and not a big deal or something to be discussed.
Looooved this movie, the acting, the story line, and the music was awesome!! 👌 I've rewatched it at least 5 times. Will be part of my movie collection. Hopefully, soundtrack comes out from it as well.

The movie is really oozing with chemistry between the lead stars Anne and Nick. To the point that you want it to be "real" even though it was just reel.🤭 The rest of the cast and the story is fantastic. The best chemistry of a love team that makes me smile and really "felt" it for a while.
The two best good looking love teams in a Movie that have the " hope this reel becomes real effect" and this "seeming" age gap but could actually look like they are the same age are:

Didn't think it was possible I could fall in love with Anne anymore than I already am but dayum. She is just Hollywood Royality at this point. She is beautiful talented. Gorgeous. Sexy. Down to earth. She is just utterly brilliant and just ages like the greatest of all wines!

Props to Savan Kotecha for writing great music that really fit the script so well. If ATX wasn't so crazy during South By (a lot of us locals stay away!), I would have enjoyed seeing this premiere, but I did just watch the movie and it was a lot of fun.

I was sooooooo glad to see Gabrielle Union produced this movie! The first movie I thought about when watching this was Gabrielle's movie "The Perfect Find." If you haven't seen that one, there's really good chemistry there as well!
