Lost my "Big Girl" nearly nine months ago. It was "emergency" (not planned) euthanization at home. Was so grateful for the Dr's. stormy, nighttime answer to my plea for help. I have regretted that I am old and wasn't able to get down to the floor with her to hug and hold her one last time...forgive me sweet Boofy. You know your Grandma has always and will always love you. G-ma misses you so much, baby girl. Thank you for the beautiful poem...still struggling, but it helps a lot.

Just found your channel. My dog Sydney just went to rest from cancer. Together 13 years. We did everything together. I love her and miss her terribly. Listen to the poem. Felt like it was talking about me. Made her a promise that I would be with her till the end. Held her in my arms spoke to her while I stared in her eyes and she left me. Put her in my truck , brought her home and cleaned her up. Wrapped her in her favorite blanket. Buried her under a newly planted apple tree. Love the poem helped me to put things in perspective. Thank you.

I lost my childhood pet Maggie my chocolate lab in 2016. My heart is still broke and missing her after all these year. But little by little it’s healing. I still miss her and cherish her I’m happy I got to spend 11 1/2 years with her. I was 15 when she was sick and my parents separated they had me choose and I chose to let her go because she was suffering

I will never forget my puppy. It was love at first sight. She would follow me off a cliff lol. It didn't matter how cold or snowy it was. She'd stay with me till her curls were caked with snow. In the summer she would sweat and pant as long as I was outside. She ran out to do her buisness and came directly back to the door every time like a boomerang. She was there for the birth of my son and all the birthdays and anniversaries. 19 years worth. She loved cheese and hot dogs and hair cuts on the front porch in the summer months beneath the shade trees. When I went to work my daughter said mom she is driving me nuts. She follows me everywhere and she misses you. Lol.One Halloween I bought her the funniest saddle with a cowboy on her back. It made me laugh so hard. When the time came I told her it's ok to cross over baby girl. Just wait for me at the door. I will see you again one day. I couldn't even go in the house. Everywhere I look she laid. Wherever I went she was. I'm so glad her suffering is done. It's selfish for me to hold her here any longer. The next morning after she passed over rainbow bridge, I went outside and there were black feathers by my car. I drove down the road and seen a white feather float in front of the window. That's when I knew she made it home.

      Dear Crystal,
Your words paint a beautiful and heartfelt portrait of the deep bond you shared with your beloved puppy over the course of 19 years. The love, companionship, and memories you two created together are truly precious. It's clear that your puppy was not just a pet, but a cherished family member who filled your life with joy and laughter.
Letting go is never easy, but your decision to end her suffering was an act of selflessness and love. The signs you received, from the feathers to the white one that floated by, remind us that love transcends physical boundaries and continues to live on.
Thank you for sharing this touching tribute to your beloved puppy. If there's anything we can do to offer comfort or support during this time, please don't hesitate to reach out.
Wishing you strength, healing, and a heart full of cherished memories.
      Warm regards!

I am so very afraid that "the day" is not far off... don't know how I am going to handle it... but it is not like I haven't had to do this so many times over the years... but each time is its very own heartbreak.... NEVER does it get any easier... my sympathies to all who have had to endure this loss... especially if you weren't able to be there... I have only missed one and that was recent.. it struck when I was out of state... at least my soul mate was there to hold and provide comfort at the end...
