I understand the reviewer didn't use any melee abilities but on the bottom left tab, there was only one ability on the up dpad. How can you give an accurate review if you haven't tested out at least a few of the different variations.
The anime is beyond legit. I watched it many many years ago when it first came out, and got a few of my co-workers hooked on it. All of us were calling each other bro and saying never betray the family bro. Lol

yep gungrave is japanese but this game is made by korean developer iggymob so they prob included a korean voice track and not japanese with this game, makes sense.
This game is fine if you're a fan of the original you will love this one too,just need to understand what you are getting in to,It being like a ps2 game with modern graphics is a selling point to me,it'll be a cult hit i feel
I didn't expect to like this game, but it is fun so far. Glad I get to play it for free on GamePass. This is my first Gungrave game, but after playing for 30 minutes I like it.
This game was patched a lot to fix issues like the train or gondola missions. Way better! Also there’s a full auto mode that’s pretty awesome! Got it this weekend for $6 and it’s been great!!
Game is dope...if you played the previous games. This game is for those people. I don't think it's detrimental either. I'm super happy they brought back this old gem. Also you fire 4 shots per trigger pull, you can literally just slowly tap the trigger to get rapid fire..it's not bad at all. Yea..I can see this game not being for everyone, neither we're the other games. So this score and opinion is no surprise to me.
I was gonna say, this basically looks like a modern facelift of the previous games. Tough to sell full price even at 50 for most. I might even wait for a sale myself. Happy to hear this though.

Bummer that they didn't use all this extra time since the 2019 announcement to improve the gameplay. I was really looking forward to this one since I'm a big fan of the anime and enjoyed the PS2 games. I'll still pick it up but on a sale.
Imagine a world we’re a $60 can give you a deep world amazing gameplay, hundreds of hours of gameplay and just completely break internet like elden ring did or you can pay $60 and get a 15hr ps2 game that looks like a ps3 game.

I just find hard to justify $60 for a game of this quality. If it was on game pass it’d be a gem, if it was $29 I’d say maybe, but $60 this day and time goes along ways.

The irony being that the game got delayed for like 3 years to polish it. Imagine what it would have been like if it released on time. That said, it was made by a REALLY tiny Korean dev team. At one point there was only like 6 people working on the game. So its not much a rush job as an indie Korean game with a somewhat decently known IP.

This is terrible. This doesn’t even look like the same game I saw from last years trailer. I was so disappointed yesterday when I played it. It felt like a 20 year old game and the visuals certainly aren’t next gen either. Such a disappointment.

This game's development is a hot mess. The rights were given to a very small Korean based studio, and their only other titles is a dog fighting game with only like 2 reviews on steam, and 2 terrible VR gungrave games. And with how they know how small they are, they just needed a strongee direction with the art. Making something with a realistic art style look good is insanely hard and expensive. They really should have went with cell shading from the start. And they knew how hard they messed up, cause the patches change the game so much. Even including a "cell-shaded" mode. Sadly this doesnt really do that. It adds a horrible filter to the entire game without doing much. The assets are exactly the same, it just has this really bad effect to the whole thing

It's more like 2 than the OG it seems. 15hrs is very long when the gameplay was built for a 3 hour max experience. Sadly gore fails to modernise the series or stay true to the goals of the excellent original. A gamepass pick up makes it easier to swallow.

I just played through the first stage and beat the first boss, so fun! We'll see if it out stays it's welcome but it seems really good.
