  • In this video we set up our brand new Ricoma MT-1501 commercial embroidery machine and give it a test run. This is my first attempt at embroidering something on this machine and I am very excited to see how it turns out. They recommend that you do a regular flat design before you embroider onto a hat but I really wanted to embroider in a cap so I just dove in. Tune in to see how it turned out.

    Awesome job, came out great.
    Some tips
    1: leave a LONG tail when you change out your thread and tie the old to the new so when you pull the old the new doesn't slide off.
    2: when embroidering hats always start from the bottom and go up and from the center out. That will keep the hat from pitching and losing registration.
    I've been doing this for 7 years and what to see you do well. Keep up the good work. Can't wait to see what comes next.

    Love your videos I just started watching them, and waiting on my MT 1501 now and the first video I watched of yours was about you telling about the machine and how you have to take a leap of faith…. And I was like yessss and take your money and invest in something that will bring in revenue so that right there have me the confirmation that I was making the right decision because I was not sure at first especially after watching some of the videos and issues or mistakes that I saw but I said to myself it’s all about trial and error and don’t allow the machine to intimidate you once you learn it your on the move!!!! Thanks for the videos and I will continue to watch have a blessed day

    3 The switch on the head of the machine pulled down and then up.
    4 pressed the start button to resume sewing the design
    The head of the machine moves by design, the main shaft works BUT the needle of the machine does not go down.

    • @adubbproductions
      @adubbproductions  Před 3 lety +2

      Your welcome. I was super nervous too. It’s a large number to hang over your head if it’s not making you money right off the bat. My advice to you would be to go to the Ricoma CZcams channel and watch all the videos and then maybe rewatch the ones your interested in. Lol the more you watch people operate the machine the more you will start to feel familiar and confident with its functions. You look at it and it seems really bug and intimidating. It’s not. After having it you will learn it’s big but not that complicated. Take your time ask questions on the facebook page they have for support. If you are going into business maybe start looking at channels that show similar things that you are going to be creating. Maybe I’ll do a patch video this upcoming i week to help out. Start getting your designs digitized or if you plan on doing i yourself start watching videos on the software that Ricoma will be providing chroma inspire. That is super important. Digitizing is everything. Take your time and you will be up and running in no time.

      No. I don’t have a video doing a visor but it’s the same as doing a regular cap. The Gen 2 hat hoop would be best to use for visors because you can get closer to the bill but the process is the same as a cap. If you do not have a Gen 2 to get closer I would suggest hoping the visor backwards and flipping the image so you can get close to the viser

    • @adubbproductions
      @adubbproductions  Před 3 lety +1

      Yes they do. That’s exactly why I went with my gut and purchased my machine out right so I can say what I want about it and see why some people where trying to dig it out online. You just watched me do this step by step. Not perfect but the machine does work. Still have a few kinks to work out but the end result loos good to me. To be honest all these machines work. Period. In the wrong hands none of it functions correctly. Machines do what people tell them to do. You can get a bad unit on occasions but in most cases like I always say it’s human error. Either a step somebody missed or something that is humans didn’t catch. I do it all the time. I knew this machine wasn’t bad. They have an entire Facebook group with regular people like you and me stitching out detailed designs that make everything I’ve ever created look like stick figures. My job is to show people what they are doing wrong. That’s not lying or misleading. People screw this stuff up. All the time. Every day. I screw it up. Clearly. Lol I’m always honest about it. I’m not a sell out. I don’t lie to people and I do find it insulting for you to even question that. Go to another channel that is perfect and ask them why ever video is so perfect. Maybe they are perfect and I’m the only one that runs into problems. Don’t question the guy that makes mistakes in almost every video about authenticity. It makes no sense bro. That’s all I’m saying.

    Like your enthusiasm but that machine isn’t top of the line and your design has unnecessary trims good luck with Ricoma cause you’ll be FaceTiming with them a lot wish you the best and keep up the good work

      Big money. $15k this is not a baby investment. This is the real thing. Lol but seriously. I figured I’ve purchased motorcycles for more that made me $0 and wasted more on cars and jewelry. This makes more sense. If all else fails I can always be a hat salesman. Lol 😂😂😂😂

    I have never watched anything so painful as you threading this machine.

      I didn’t force you Dave, you had options and you made a choice. Why would you take the time to type something negative when you can just keep it moving. A better question is if it was so painful why would you put yourself threw pain when you can just watch another video. Please stop spreading your negativity to me. I am trying to live a positive life and help people. Please don’t extinguish my vibe.

      @@adubbproductions My goodness how wounded you are. If you want to help people advise them not to buy this machine. If you manually have to thread each needle it’s painful. You seem to be very opinionated so why would it wound you so that I have an opinion . Understand that by putting your vlog on air you are inviting comments and they will be what that person wants to say and sometimes it’s not what you want to hear.

    Stay away from Ricoma machines. Total Chinese junk. Spend your hard-earned money on a Japanese machine like Janome, etc.

    • @adubbproductions
      @adubbproductions  Před 3 lety

      Why do you say it’s junk? I have an MT-1501 and a EM-1010. I run my business off of my MT-1501 I’ve made thousands. Are you taking from experience or just talking to talk?

    • @GolfNetwork1
      @GolfNetwork1 Před 3 lety

      @@adubbproductions Nothing against you or your channel. Yes, we bought one and many of the plastic parts on the machine are metal on Janome. The machine moves a lot due to vibration and it will ruin 25% of the blanks you run through it. There is little to no support for the machines and the warranty is fictitious in real life. We run five Janome 4's and replaced the Ricoma with a new Janome 7. Keep up the great work, man. We enjoy your vids.

      Take a look on the forums that cater to folks who are active in the business. I haven't seen anyone who would buy one again.

      I appreciate your insight. I’m having the total opposite experience clearly. The customer support is great. I recently recently left a message on a Saturday and got a person live on the phone within the hour. Also I’m not sure which magic me you are talking about that has plastic parts but my MT-1501 is solid steal. I opened up the back just to look to see if it needed to be oiled and it has metal parts. The smaller em-1010 has a plastic body but the MT-1501 is industrial. Again, I only talk about what I know to be fact. I’m not sure which machine you had or why you had the lack of support but Ricoma’s customer service is outstanding. I’ve never had a company offer the supper they do. You can buy a machine used and still get support on that purchase no questions asked. No company does that. I don’t know why you had that experience.

      I don’t go off of speculation. It doesn’t matter what the forums SAY. I SHOW the real deal. People can see for themselves how things are going for me. Not everyone will have the same experience obviously. I think a lot of people just don’t know what they are doing and don’t take the time to learn the machine. It works fine for me.
