Barnard Castle 4 Mile Walk

There are many walks around Barnard Castle, this is probably one of the shortest. Perfect for kids or anyone who wants a short walk. As long as you stick near the river you cant go wrong. There are at least two parks and lots of open space to have picnics. Plenty of shops to look into and the castle to visit. If you have an OS map you could make up your own walk around the area.

I was last at Barnard Castle when I was 11 years old on a day out with the school.
I like the rain, I got a brolly and like to see other people getting soaked it cheers me up lol 😆

There definitely something very cool about those old castles in the British isles.my wife's family came to America in the 1700s but here family had a castle in Ireland loftus hall that I think dates back to 1170 a.d. ,definitely a creepy place!
