I've been away fromn the game due to life stuff so it didn't really feel right to make content when I hadn't played in a couple months. just need to mention, on 4:25 - that is a NEAR max rarity mastemon deck (one copy of the SD mastemon being the alt art 'only'), that is some expensive investment

I recently started playing digimon and really liking Mastemon decks big win for a video
So glad to see you're still keeping up with Digimon, Alec! I only just recently got into the game and I'm just eating up as much content as I can for it now, and I would love to add you guys to my rotation for it because I already really enjoy your Yu-Gi-Oh content! Like you said, you're a jack of all games, and when you play so many games, some of them inevitably have to take back burner status, so if you take some time between Digimon videos, that's just fine! Your focus will go where it goes and hopefully we'll enjoy following along.
It's unfortunate to hear you chickened out on playing Mastemon in that tournament and got crushed trying to learn Loogamon. You should really stick with the deck you know well and learn the backup deck in your off time! That said, it was really fun to hear how the deck went at the tournament you talked about, definitely seems like it's a slow, grindy deck that needs to keep up the pace if it doesn't want to time out. I play ShineGreymon and then an assorted carousel of decks on the backend, so couldn't be me, but I do see the appeal.
I feel bad that you ran into MegaGargo Ace the hard way. That thing is a beast! I play that deck just because it's relatively inexpensive due to being mostly from the starter deck but that thing does so many things that even when you play the deck you tend to forget how much it does. You're right that once you know it's coming you can get around it, but not knowing it was coming and being so directly countered must have been crushing. You'll get back into the swing of things, and hey, you won the whole thing anyway! That's really impressive for someone who was out of practice for about a year. I don't know how capital-G Good Mastemon is gonna be in the upcoming format, but I think if you really dedicate yourself to the deck, you can do anything! It's got a really solid gameplan and such threatening control options. And Loogamon should be an excellent backup! Gives you a whole different playstyle in similar colors.

I find the digimon tcg kinda interesting! seems a tad difficult to get cards though 🤔anyways, would LOVE to see Digimon Card battles from alec!
Already bought the MegaGargomon ACE structure recently but was looking to build Mastemon too and get back into the game! Glad to see this video up!
Mastemon is definitely worth it and now is a good time to build it considering one of the next sets has a BUNCH of support for her coming out

Glad to see it man, nothing wrong with there being breaks in your gametime! I'm still loving Digimon, I'm struggling along with my beloved Examon and Alphamon decks, but Loogamon and Digipolice are close favourites behind them. The new sim is a great place to try out new decks!

I've been playing Numemon mostly, but I have a bunch of decks. I think I'm going to play red otk Greymon this weekend because basically due to shortages nobody was able to get enough cards for BT16 and I don't feel like thinking much about what people are or aren't going to have been able to get, lol. Time to highroll or die.

I like the bt15 Magnadramon so you can put any yellow card you want in there including extra tamers or chaos degradation. See you next month for EX6. Maybe we will see 1 TK+Cody in the list so you can de-digivolve and then pop their level 5 with mastemon?

BT-16 Magnamon X reminds me a lot of DPE in yugioh, the only difference is that the deck he “belongs to” is actually good as well 😂

I also lost my play sets of digimon tcg up to boostert7😢😢 needed to sell was forced to move out of place got 130$ at a card shop and lost alot of sleeves card wise had 700$ worth of cards

how come no one runs blue card? cant you use blue card in any deck?
You can mix any card colors but unless you have consistent searches for them it's usually advised to stick with one main color. In this deck the cards only search for yellow or purple (or cards with vaccine) so running cards without those is very likely to brick you. This deck does run blue/yellow angemon sometimes though.

Yes my locals isn’t even doing yugioh tournaments and Digimon it’s primarily Pokémon and magic the gathering and it’s in pigeon forge and Pokémon is just played more and magic than yugioh or anything else and it’s sad because they can support it but the audience is more into Pokemon and magic.
