@@ashlenamusic Definitely agree with @nerve60 who singled out To Be Loved and Alone in the Night. To Be Loved almost may as well be an Aurora single because it's all her voice...over Askjell's production, yet Askjell has produced and co-written a ton with Aurora on her own stuff. Also the music video is quite dramatic and visually stunning. And Alone in the Night is a GORGEOUS song...with the most wholesome music video ever. If you're ever feeling stressed out, that song/music video will fix that right away.

The song is inspired by Prometheus from mythology.
I like how she dance in the end in screen overlapping with statues. In my opinion it symbolize fire (connected with Prometheus and Greek mythology). And the end symbolize also many other things like giving love, our connection as people, giving joy to others (how live and happy statues are on the end with this happy "la la la").
Ps. The song is also about how we perceive ourselves. Like in mythology clay can represent our outside (how we look) and fire which Prometheus stole from the goods (to make us complete) represents what we have inside. And many people focus on what is outside: how we look and we want to be perfect outside and some people are never happy with this, but much more important is what we have inside and we should put more focus on this. As Aurora said jokingly in one interviews: "Clay: No no; Fire: yes yes" ;)
Ps2. When I first watched the video I wondering about statues as sometimes was off (like real people) but I did not expected to come live on the end :).

Take a look at Askjell featuring AURORA "To be loved". Askjell has co-produced some of Aurora's songs. There are 2 versions of this on CZcams. A music video and a live version. Both equally as good. Aurora is adorable in the live version.
This is my favourite of Aurora's official videos because of the pure joy that you can see that she gets from dancing in the beautiful garden. "Winter Bird" is a close second.

I love the symbolism. It only takes one person to give in and show love to another, and it will snowball from there. It's such an upbeat song to listen to, but it always makes me cry. Then again, I think pretty much all of Aurora's music does. In a good way though. Always good tears ;)

As I recall, the first time I watched the video, I thought some of the statues looked like they might be real people, but I didn't expect them to come to life. I thought if they were real people, they just did it to allow them to pose in any way needed. Now that I've watched it many times, and know that they're real people, I feel like the women really look like real statues, but the men are the ones who don't quite get there. I don't know if it's the hair on the women or what, but they look fantastic. This is one of my favorite videos of hers too.

As a couple others have said, the song is inspired by Prometheus who made humans from clay and gave them fire to make them like the gods. The statues represent this; when Aurora touches them they come to life, or...they give in to the love!
I also find it interesting that the video switches to the dark of night during the second verse which deals with a sadder topic.

The figure from Greek mythology represented in this song is Prometheus, (all the songs on the album have a 'patron god/demigod,') who fashioned humankind out of clay and then stole the fire from the gods to animate and give life to his creation. Aurora represents the fire in this video (hence her outfit,) and ultimately animates the statues, with her dancing behind like flickering flames.

Lovely 😊. They joked about that in an NME interview, and the conclusion was you can be a warrior without being a weirdo, but you can't be a weirdo without being a warrior, since shy people, nerds and introverts often have to fight a little bit harder in life. So those are the rules apparently 😄.
I like what she said about the song in one of her funny Triple J interviews : “I was thinking - one day, as you do - about how he (Prometheus) supposedly made mankind in clay, and how he stole the fire from the gods to make us alive and complete us. I was thinking about this clay and how much we obsess with this clay that kind of means nothing. And how it seems to distract us from the value of the fire that we keep inside. That’s very sad. The world today makes a lot of people very unhappy because we obsess with these strange things about how we look. So many people base their whole worth on how they look, and they never feel like they look beautiful enough. I find this obsession with beauty both very fascinating and scary. It’s kind of about that. I guess: Clay? No, no. Fire? Yes, yes.”
