- Filling in for a local shuttle for 2 cold and snow days will really make you want some comfort food. My go to comfort food is Pho noodle soup. I just happen to know of a awesome local Thai restaurant that serves my favorite bowl of Pho noodle soup and I definitely did not miss the opportunity to get some during my trip. I also brought some friends along.

The last part at the restaurant was like a comedy session especially when you say your friends are weirdos too LOL
I do love pho soup too!
Great music
I’m happy for your success in moving up in the ranks of the company, you had such a passion of being a driver so I wonder how your adapting to not driving so much? I hope this doesn’t slow of cease your CZcams videos. Your helping and touching more people then you know. ✌️out.
This video is just as good the second time. A friend asked if I'd ever had pho. I wouldn't have even known what it was.....
@WisconsinDriven
Pho? Phuuu-yeah!
Lol I say that all the time haha.
Great video content. No drama. Real life, day to day material. Not to mention you seem to be a first class motor coach operator. I am not sure how I found your channel, but am thankful I did. Thumbs up on every video watched so far. And now subscribed too. Aloha. K. Inouye Honolulu, Hawaii
Thank you the kind words. Welcome aboard. I hope to visit Hawaii one day. I know there are many islands. Id love to see Honolulu.
If you plan on visiting Hawaii, we (you, your family, and I) will get together for Chinese, Thai, or Vietnamese food. But for now, keep the great videos coming. Aloha!
Great work!!!
Thanks Cindy!!! Appreciate your support 🙏❤️
Awesome video James 👍. Now that’s what I call a soup bowl ! I do like spicy. I like the hot and sour soup, I think they call it in the Chinese buffets, I know probably not even close to the real Chinese food that you’re finding out there in the world . My favorites are the
General Tso‘s chicken , chicken, fried rice, and that hot and sour soup. You will HAVE TO SHOWCASE SOME GOOD General TSO’s chicken that you have found out there. ✌️out.
For some reason you posting driving a bus is so cool!! Lol I enjoy watching your content
Hey Joshua! Thank you for your comment. Makes me want to keep posting. I will try to create more frequently.
@@JWangvlogs yes please do keep posting !!
awesome content
Thank you MisterTracks! Much appreciated!
I've been to many concerts and high school playoff games at Assembly Hall! Good to see it after being gone for so long.
On a cold snowy winter day my first thought is stay home and admire the white landscape from the window. But…I guess that is an Atlanta thing more than Illinois! 🤣
Also, I loved the meal footage with some of your lunch mates going with the fork in the pho. I have not had that dish but would like to try it - looks good! My wife’s mom is Korean so I have gotten better with chopsticks since I have known her, but I’m not sure I could tackle pho without a fork and spoon! I may need to try to find out this winter!
Thanks for the comment. Definitely Try Pho sometime. Its so nice!
@@JWangvlogs I tried it this past week. Not bad! I gotta admit I still prefer Korean bulgogi but I was able to make two meals out of the pho…and I didn’t make too much of a mess trying to eat the noodles with chopsticks! 🤣 I can see a place for pho in my takeout rotation. 👍🏻
I love Golden Wok. I had to go to Champaign about 2 weeks ago. Part of the day in Champaign and part of it in Urbana it's just hard to get food right now out. I know it's getting easier but I guess I just didn't stop. Oh well I'll be up there soon enough. You made another great CZcams
I know what you mean! You sound like a man who knows good food! Mad respect to you sir!
Great video 👍👍👍🤩
Thank you David
Hey, buddy, you gotta try Lil's Porgy BBQ sometime, it is a legend in town. I have been missing it for many years after I left my second hometown (Chambana)
your things are buses and planes i loves buses and humvees we have some things in common
confidence in numbers! great video James! Always great to get a good meal in between runs!
Hey Adrian! Thank you! I appreciate the comment. Yes a good meal will always make a good charter trip great!
have thought about buying an original military style humvee that works good in all types of weather you could you it to drive to the bus place when it rains or snows
Fantastic experience. Especially with that PHO. Let me know for the next PHO PARTY.
You got it 👍
Ever been to Bangkok Thai & Pho 911? It's on Green St, across from Pizza Hut & Walgreen's.
Hey Chad Pettit. Yes i have! Both are great Thai places. Golden Wok however is my favorite. I find their pho broth the most flavorful! I also love their Lao style sausage and papaya salad. Which one is your favorite?
I haven't tried Golden Wok, but I will make an effort, next time in the Champaign/Urban area.
My bus company is in the Quad Cities, so I tend to find myself down there every so often.
@@TheWookiee1977 gotcha! Who do you drive for? Next time you head to the area let me know. Lots of good places to eat.
Thanks for another great video! I started driving a motorcoach two weeks ago and dispatch is already filling up my schedule. See you on the road and I look forward to more content! - Rick Turtenwald
Hey Wisconsindriven! That is awesome man!! Are you liking the lifestyle? It's definitely more of a life style than a job. I hope we do bump into each other one day. If you are ever in the area give me a shout 😁! Be safe and Best wishes to your new career!

James, and advice for me on a 14:30 pickup at O'Hare this Wednesday (Qatar Airways)? E-Mail: r.turtenwald@live.com

Have you had any trouble with the Temsa's in cold temperatures? A lot of newer bus builders don't take into account the importance of defroster's and wipers in cold temperatures.
We never had troubles with them in the cole but we have other non weather related issues with them.
My band instructor will let me know of the brand for the trip then I will call you guys for a bus
Temsa in europe DAF or Man motors
James, I love watching your video. Would you believe, i'm also a fellow bus driver. Well, i say that I only drive a 12 seat minibus but I would love to drive a coach for sure. I'm wandering if the rules on driving are the same to you from over here or not. We have something called EU hours and Working Time Directive. I notice that you also have a walk around which is also similar. I kinda want a chat about it and find out what it's like driving and working in America driving coaches.
Hi Andy thank you so much. Means a lot to me. I would love to chat with you about driving here. We have several drivers in our company from the UK. The rules here are 10 hours driving and 15 hours of on duty time. You need 8 consecutive hours off duty for your clock to reset.
Thanks for getting back to my james. I appreciate the response from you. So your shift I'm guessing is 15 hours long? Because here it's like 9 hours driving every day or 3 days of driving 10 hours max. We also have to have 11 hours daily rest every day or 9 hours 3 days in a week. So basically if we have 11 hours daily rest. 24 hours off 11 makes a 13 hour shift but if we have the 9 hour daily rest then it's like 15 hour shift like you. Did that make sense james? Haha sorry if not. I'm hoping so as your a bus driver also Haha. Keep up the good work james.
When will the next Pho gathering be?
Anytime you want! Just say the word!
Hi I wang I wondering do you keep the buses plug in when they are outside
We don't usually. We try to park then inside if we can otherwise our techs come out and thaw then before their trips
Great video James, was fun watching your coworkers try not to laugh about the orgasm face comment. How do you like the Temsa single axle bus?
LOL yeah they are good sports! The newer body style models are nice. They are easy to get in and out of tight spaces. On the interstate they are a bit lacking as far as stability. You really notice the missing set of tags. They are also a bit nosier than the MCI's and Prevhosts and Vanholls. You can really hear that drive train working down there when accelerating and getting up to speed. I find the cabin gorgeous. Very modern and the lighting is nice, The dash is a bit confusing just because im not used to it. I feel like they went a bit too far trying to make all icons look fancy but its a bit of a distraction when trying to figure out what the coach is trying to tell you. Would love to get to drive on of the 45 footer Temsa's one day just to see what they feel like.
what coach model is that?
oop... noticed its a TEMSA
What are some tips for a new coach driver coming into it?
Hey Trucker Spuds. Thanks for your comment. Some tips i would give to someone looking to be a coach operator would be to have humility. Be humble to the profession. Its a huge game changer when your cargo talks back and can and will judge you. You are at this point no longer just a driver. You are a counselor, a problem solver for schedule conflicts, a logistics planner, a meal provider, customer service agent and a Chauffeur all in one. Your group will have many needs that will turn your solid plan into a very fluid and dynamic day that you will have to be flexible with. Its a lot of fun and rewarding if you get to you know your group and treat them like your house guests. I would say to get ready to wear a tie and dress shirt pants and shoes for long periods of time. The driving part is easy but learning how to maintain control yet making your group feel safe and cared after is the hard part while dealing with traffic and tight turns when operating the coach. It is a really fun job. Are you thinking of becoming a coach driver? I would highly recommend it!
J Wang, Thanks for the reply and tips. And yes. I had my interview/road test today and think it went well. Just have to go get the drug screening. I’m driving OTR at the moment so I think it’ll be a smooth transition. But I have a lot to learn yet so hopefully it’ll be a positive experience.
@@18wostrucker92 well I wish you all the best in your new career. Maybe one day we will run into each other figuritvely speaking of course lol.
@@JWangvlogs Oddly, I don't have a CDL but have been transporting people for a living since 1996 and currently work for a company that has many motorcoaches. What you say is so true. My other observation about being a motorcoach charter driver is that it is a skill set that really doesn't get enough respect and formal training. Its a steeper learning curve than just driving your bus.
@@stevedavenport1202 yeah I agree with you entirely. Bus drivers in the US are treated very poorly even though we have very demanding and critical roles in society. In europe Bus drivers are considered very prominent positions and training is very stringent and detailed. The public also treats them with respect.
Hmm, where to start, my friend? First off, pho is da bomb. But Morgan FRedman giving me a hug??? Can I sub in Gal G.a dot instead? 😀
Lol!!! I May have stretched it there with the morgan quote haha. I could eat pho every day 😂
It’s been a while
Hi Jerry. Yes it has. I am working on making videos more frequently.
