Brilliant ! brings back memories of my youth watching this & it scaring the life out of my little sisters .
Used to watch all these as a teenager on late night BBC 2 TV. Total utter tosh but they're absolutely brilliant! Lee and Cushing make anything they're in worth watching.
Utter Tosh 😄
Written by my old screenwriting instructor at the school of visual arts. My own understanding of effective screenplay structure came directly from him and this movie is a reasonably )good example of good screenplay structure. I owe him a lot to this day.
Talk about Edge-of-the-Seat Script, and filming... This sure nailed it! It had my Dad, Brother, myself, and the audience in the theater, right there up to the end. 👍👍 5⭐
❤
vem vdd filme nosso muito bom mesmvhoje a noite
And yet you had to edit one paragraph.
@@Useaname And?
we've all thanked the actors now kudos for that GORGEOUS EDWARDIAN TRAIN.
Some of the conversations made me smile. Peter Cushing’s assistant. Cushing to her: “I’m going to need your help”. Assistant to Cushing: “I’m not surprised at your age”. Lol.
At 1:04 detective talking to Cushing and Lee said but what if one of you is the monster? Cushing, monster? we're British, you know?.
@@joseortega-us6rn Yeah one way to take it is that British are monsters by default. Another is that being British makes them immune.
Lost track of how often I've watched this great movie. Never tired of it. Always brings me back to better times.
In front of the TV before bedtime?
Thanks for sharing this film I was 1yrs old when this film came out, it's cool to see Christopher Lee, telly savalis and Peter cushing in the same film Awesome.
I owned this movie on VHS and now DVD. Great movie with Christopher Lee being the good guy for once! Thanks for posting!
Actually he is continually portrayed as evil throughout this film but comes to his senses when the Countess talks to him and when he realizes police inspector Mirov is lieing.
@@christoffer4862 I don't see it as evil. He's single minded in purpose and is caught up in his own righteousness. When confronted with cold hard reality he acts accordingly and would have done so in the end regardless of consequences.
My parents played this movie when I was a kid more than thirty years ago. I forgot which movie it was except for the parts about the steam train and a creepy monk with red eyes, and that Siberian whistle. Very cool to find it now and watch it again. It's still scary as ever, and am glad to have been introduced to Lee and Cushing at such a young age. Classic movie, thank you for sharing.
Thank you! Last time I've seen this movie was about 30 years ago, when I was a teenager and it scared crap of me.
Such a great cast, especially duet Cushing and Lee. And of course Telly Savalas.
Same here, I remember watching it with my Dad one night, and it scared the crap out of me.

I really liked Horror Express when I first saw it in my teens on VHS. Telly Savalas made a particularly good impression as always.
Thank you, not seen this film in years since my mother allowed me to stay up late one evening and watch it with her! I was a teenager at the time. Now I’m 57 and watching it this time around I must say I found Telly Savalas very dashing.
“Monster? We’re British you know!” 😂😂
Great Classic of Terror of all times, absolutely fabulous Christopher Lee and Peter Cushing!
I've never heard of this before...Cushing, Lee, Savalas...what a casting! Film is pretty good as well.
¡Gracias! ¡Gracias! ¡Gracias!

I saw this years ago, it isn’t too bad, give it a peek.
Doing so right now.
One of "Inspector Mirov" final films , he died already 1972@@bubukittee24
Good movie with a great casting lineup! 😃
Extraordinaria película

Super, dzięki bardzo. Klimatyczny horror
Great movie. Not the first time I've seen it. Whenever someone asks me for suggestions for a horror film, I always mention this.
Something about a train that's really good for creating a spooky setting.
This is soooo early 1970ish horror. That disco like music at the very end...that caps it all!
I remember seeing this when I was a kid 50 years ago and it scared the hell out of me. Now I see it as a really great cult classic. Cushing and Lee are magnificent as always.
"AGREED! Freaked me out as a kid too! Saw it in the 1980's on FOX Sunday Movies back in the day!"
Like me 😊
I only remembered Telly Savalas from 70s series Kojak as i was a little kid.. my father used to watch the show along with Colombo, baretta an few others back then ..ahh good ole days & youth was😪
Who is the orthodox priest?
@@lenif1655 Alberto de Mendoza
This is one of my favorite movies the orthodox priest reminds me of Gregory Rasputin the mad monk whose curse brought down the Romanov dynasty forever in Russia
From a Bolshevik perspective, that's probable heresy. 😅 The Russian revolutionaries would never share their victories with an orthodox priest.
🏆🌿
I can remember this movie as a kid in the mid 70's watching this scared me near to death. They were like zombies to me then; the only things that I rooted for was Peter Cushing, Christerpher Lee and Telly Savalas RIP.
Loved it! Maybe the writers of The Thing borrowed the idea from this movie. I see many similarities.
The Thing was based on a short story by John W Campbell written way before this movie tho......
this film's central idea is also loosely based on that same story !
I just think the same👍
Film ekstra glumci vrhunski. Sve pohvale.
John Carpenter’s The Thing is a remake of Howard Hawks film The Thing from the 1950’s, which is based on a book.
Telly Savalas always plays the tough guy (being greek).
My English father in law, was saying that my dad(being greek) looked like Christopher Lee.
And.. another good one from CCC thanks again we appreciate these
Wow Was für ein Horrorfilm Super Schauspieler
I love Telly Savalas! My mom loved him too! She liked William Devane and Jack Nicholson!
Brilliant watch. Thoroughly enjoyed it. Many thanx for downloading & sharing
Really enjoyed this one. Thanks CCC
I think the fossil is his own missing link. Fun movie. If I were a kid, I’d be scared!
i love how the alien is just instantly afraid of the Captain. he's like this guy is not the same at all
I love this grisly confection. It’s right up my street. Splendid shadow play by the creature. And the mad monk turns my stomach.
Moment vraiment intense. Meerci infiniment. 👌👌
The woman (Alice Reinheart) at 32:11 looks like she could be Edward G. Robinson's sister. She even sounds like him.
@1:04:08~ Peter Cushing had the best line of the movie: "Monster? We're British!" (so was Jack the Ripper, Pete)
How do you know?
Masterpiece
Un classico di fantasia con eccellenti attori. Grazie 👍
I first saw this film late at night when I was little and never forgot the sight of the creature walking through the dark train with its mouth open and glowing red eye

Great film 🎥🍿 love the classics 👍😊
I like this good old movie 🎥. Thank you.
Saw this movie on Creature Features on KTVU back in the day. Peter Cushing and Sir Christopher Lee were masters of horror films. Telly Savalas appeared as a Russian before Kojak.
What was that? Ch 2 (living in East Bay) Saturday or Sunday? Long time ago, '70s and '80s.
(Cine Permanencia Voluntaria).
en audio latino ???

excellent ending.
We don´t know what happened...
wait! are you saying the creature might not have died in the fire from the train wreck!?! oh no. @@LauRa-re9un
Good movie - Christopher Lee ist outstanding! Bytheway: The whistling theme is the same music used by the dancer Pablo Acosta in his performance in Russia (2016, Chernovskaja, Baladi dance, starting 1 min after recording)
Great film , Thank you 🎉
@RisboCalor, That knowledge had been assimilated from the first victim.

Muy buena película.
You know it's going to be good when it starts off with a bird's-eye freeze-dried mummy!
An excellent B horror movie from the 1970s starring Peter Cushing & guest-starring Telly Savalas. It’s an interesting plot too. I get the alien “monster” is a powerful telepath who can absorb memories & even transfer is mind to other bodies. But why did the police inspector’s hand physically transform into the Neanderthal’s hand after he was taken over by the alien mind? And why does the alien’s telepathic power only work in the dark? The movie doesn’t explain but I never could figure out why. Still it doesn’t detract from my enjoyment of this movie.
Great actors.
- Who of you is the monster?
- We are british.
Lots of big classic film stars in this. Should be a treat!
It's an excellent movie!
Egész érdekes volt. Jó régi film, de megérte végignézni. Azon a vonaton sem szeretnék utazni. Akkor már inkább gyalog. Köszönöm szépen.✌️👍🤟

luv watching peter cushing and christopher lee movies. Watching 2023. NZ
Gloria total!!!
Trilha sonora dos anos 70!!!!!!!!!!!! Maravilha
Sí, éramos niños, eh?
kojack like never before...masters of horror
1:08:28 Telly might've been a tough guy, but in real life Sir Christopher couldve stomped every one of their asses.
brilliant movie incredibly made for only 300000 !puts some 200 million dollar epics to shame.
sadly it underperformed in Spain , maybe a flood of horror films then.....audience were jaded ?
@@postersandstuff
Maybe the Spanish were looking for Spaghetti Westerns...😅

Amazing film
I used to enjoy and watched this genre of movies.....as i got older i am unable to withstand horror-gore-blood......it is just tooo much.....i skipped the difficult parts......I still enjoyed some of it. It is a reminder that things like this are possible. Especially with scientists wanting bring to life fossils of Gigantic-Ancient animals......Thanks.
Great movie,I watch it every couple years.
