- Today we're painting a Whimsical Sunrise!
Thanks for joining me this year in this watercolor journaling journey. I hope to paint in my journal most days of the year and invite you to join me. We don't need big resolutions, just gentle intentions to tend to our creative soul a little bit everyday. And learn a little something along the way.

I love the finished results of this journal entry. It was simple but spectacular. Thanks
Just so you know, you keep me painting every day too. Thanks for that.
I’ve just gotten back into watercolors after about 15 years and your videos are such a help. Thank you so much!
I’m so glad they are helpful. Welcome back to painting!
Oh……for sure I’m painting this watercolor in my first journal….thank you again for this awesome tutorial. Just love your uncomplicated style❤❤❤
Joyful!! Thank you for much needed inspiration. Glad I ‘met’ you! 😊
I’m so glad you are here. Welcome to the channel. 😁
I try to paint everyday. No training..just put paint to paper. Love it. You are an inspiration
Me too!
Love, love, love this. I can’t wait to try this one. Thank you so much for sharing your talent and ideas!
I love this one. I think I needed a major reminder to let the layers dry. Lately, I’ve been in a funk because my stuff looks muddy. Now I know why!
Letting it dry is the hardest skill to learn! 😂
Just painted this one along with you - lots of fun! What a lovely color palette - so happy with my results!
Thank you. I’m glad you enjoyed it!
Another joyful video 🎉
Wow! This is fabulous! Thank you so much!
I can't wait to try this! I wanted to comment to ask if you can offer suggestions on organizing art supplies. I'm a beginner but find that I've already collected several brushes, paint colors, journals, etc. (Shopaholic here!) Now my work and storage area is a mess and I can't seem to find a way to organize it all. This might not be the right forum for this kind of thing but just wanted to bring it up in case others have the same difficulty. Thanks! And keep the great videos coming!
Great suggestion!
And you keep me painting as well❤
🙏 Shana 🌞
Not trying to be a smarty pants but the Bleed Proof White is a highly opaque watercolor product. It’s basically a liquid form of gouache.
Love this tutorial and will try it in my new watercolor book! Eek! A brand new book is always intimidating, at first!😃💖
Have fun in your new watercolor journal!
I just love this whole scene. It evokes a sense of calm....love the layering technique and colours.....the delicate brush work for the branches is beautiful. Thank you for showing us how it's done! 🖼️🖌️
Thank you for watching. I’m glad you enjoyed it. 😁
Such a beautiful picture. Inspires to daydream. It has been way too warm here so the cool wavy hills are absolutely welcome.
Beautiful 😍 xxx
Thank you. 😊
Beautiful
That’s lovely! I like all the layers. 😊
This will be my evening fun. I always love watching you and being inspired. Thank you from Northern Michigan!! We had 65 degrees today with lots of sunshine. So we were able to BBQ!! It was a beautiful and blessed day 💕
Wirklich schön. 😅Werde es auch versuchen und hoffe dass ich es so hinbekomme ❤
Thank you!
Beautiful! I love whimsical landscapes I'll be giving this one a try! Thanks again Shana 😊❤
Wow! Beautiful
Thank you. 😊
Thanks!
Thank you so much Linda! Your support means the world to me. 😊😊😊
Beautiful already
Thank you. 🙏
Thank you 😊
Thank you for watching.
Muito lindooo demais 😍
I'm pretty sure those are full pans. Half pans are square and generally fit 12 per row in a tin like that. I only mention this because it can be confusing for beginners. I love your videos! I watch you every day.
You are right. 🤦♀️ I don’t know why said half pans. Good catch. 😁
Lovely layers can’t wait to try tomorrow ❤ thankyou so much.😊
Love those daily practices ❤.. thank you for sharing… would you please share the list of your color palette you are using? It would be helpful 😊
👋🏻👋🏻👋🏻👋🏻😍
Love it.
I love the way you did your sun. Like the way it glows. Curious? With the sun behind the foliage, why add white? Not a criticism, just a question.
Thank you for watching. Adding white was just a design choice to add a level of contrast. It’s a whimsical illustration, so doesn’t have to follow any of the rules of light. You can definitely leave it out. 😁
Linda art parabéns óleo seu trabalho 👏
Thank you. ☺️
I love doing more “folk art” paintings & never used QOR watercolors & do they work well with other artist grade paints? Another question is could I use indigo instead of Payne’s grey? Ty.
They work great with other paints. I’ve found no issues when mixing them with other brands. You can certainly use indigo. It may have a slightly different shade to it but will look lovely n
First to SEE!!!🎉🎉🎉🎉
