Greetings Jeff and Johnny Colt were from the original lineup they were great as well This band should be inducted into the Rock n Roll hall for fame all members past and present need to be inducted ..no one left out and for the case of Ed a friend or a surviving family member should be there on his behalf ;;;;;;
Saw my Crowes over 100 times, by far the best times with the best fans in the best countries n cities…,because it’s about the f’n music!!! And this bands catalog of songs for 25 years is outstanding….love ya Chris Rich Marc Eddie Steve Sven Johnny Luther Audley, and anyone that has played the story of my life… god bless my fellow Crowe Heads.. u know who u are…👏😉🤟🎸🔥🍺
No offense to the rest of the band - but this is a fantastic showcase of Marc Ford and thanks for posting this. Been looking for this kind of stuff for awhile. He's unbelievably good.
Very funky set list and they gave the songs the treatment they deserved. Marc dialed in playing flawless... Saw them days later at the Beacon Theater and they killed it every night.
Of the many shows we attended, Marc’s side was the spot we always squeezed into. Always a mind bending treat hearing Marc up close. Thanks to Beacon Theater security for getting us there and thank you for sharing.
Same here. Rich was always too loud anyway, and you got the best mix just left of center. Did it at my first show, never looked back if I could help it, that is.
Saw them support the stones at Wembley that year and Man!!!! They blew them off stage!!!! Had tickets for ages and my mate reckoned it was Sheryl Crow supporting the look on my face when he gave me my ticket in the pub the day of the gig must've been a picture when I found it was the crowes!!!!!!!!
I saw them support the stones but sadly the day i went, they were rained off after about 20 minutes. Funnily enough on the stones next tour Sheryl Crow did support
Greetings from the great state of Arkansas this band is the last of the greats...we seen them perform just this past summer 2021 Reunion show for the 30th anniversary to their first album Shack your money maker They all still sound and looked great...we are all in our 50s now and the band as well has slowed down ...Chris voice has changed slightly but it is to be expected .. God bless them and the RIP ED RIP Stanley and Nancy Robinson
My Sista much love to you... I was at this show , and all the shows surrounding Boston I've seen many a good show at the Orpheum. Ahhh the good days!!!! 😍💯❤.
WOW, took me a long time to figure out what the fuck you were saying. Too stoned, nintendo. Wouldn't MFF be the Mick Taylor of the "Los Cuervos Negros"?
Love how the Crowes PR made it sound like Ford was playing like shit and forgetting songs..Hes blazing on this gig. Without a doubt the baddest band in the land at this time.
Thanks Man!! They were a truly great band then but kind of transitioning from a killer rock band into a jam band. Some shows on this tour were just hippie trippy and some were bash your face in rock shows!!
Why can't it be both, though? The only complaint would be that they should have played longer shows. 110 mins most nights with that kind of catalog, the covers and some bad ass rhythmic jamming, demanded 120, 203 or 140 min shows.
Andrew Martin I feel you brother. I always thought they could have done both. But as you say, it would demand longer shows. Have you read Steve Gormans book? From reading that I figure longer shows would have meant certain members of the band would demand more money. I get the impression that they would do the contract requirements ( sometimes) and then on to the next show. For awhile there, they were one of the greatest! Studio AND live. Then Marc left.
Let me start by saying I love Mark Ford he's my favorite member of The Black Crowes and they were their best when he was with the band. But what the hell was he on he looked lost like he didn't know where he was at in the songs. I mean he was fiddling with his amp, pulling on his shirt, looking around some more. The H may have been on his back. Still the best, just wanna know what's up. Cuz it looks like nobody else noticed. I guess I should give him the benefit of the doubt and say it was amplifier or audio problems in general.
His name is Marc. If he really was your favorite, you'd have better ears and know how to spell his name. Only someone with clogged up ears would make such stupid comments.
He also played guitar on the self-titled 1984 EP by Jack Grisham's post-T.S.O.L. band Cathedral of Tears, on which he is credited as "Mark Ford". Album: The Southern Harmony and Musical Companion, It's About Time, Live at the ... Group: The Magpie Salute, The Black Crowes, Blue Floyd Children: Elijah Ford Born: April 13, 1966, Long Beach Apology excepted, not expected. ✌
@@afmartin2734 Moron, well, yea I am. Not proud of it but true is true. But on the other hand, my ears are at least as good as yours or we wouldn't both be listening to the BC's. Right...? I'm working on my negativity issues, calling names and so forth. So I will say good day, enjoy the music friend. How's that for name calling...? Lol. And maybe even have a drink or a toke if morons like me stress you out. Be well. ✌
@@afmartin2734 Just out of curiosity and while I'm trying to make friends here. Whats your favorite Black Crowes album without Marc? 'Cause most of us know Marc was the ONE. I'll tell you mine, like you care. But Warpaint is pretty damn good to not have Marc.
Every day is Marc Ford Day.

The 'rock and roll hall of fame' is a joke. No revelance to real music lovers.

marc ford cam...not complaining
That note Marc rips at 9:50 in Gone is *pure insanity*. Several of us were at this show...wow what a barnburner
Marc's tone was always on point and those P-90 pickups are warm AF
good lord!
There's germanium in that there tone, or at least an Analog Man Sun Lion.
@@davidsaliba9209 whatever it is, that's some MFF *magic*

Marc Ford - Live in Boston '96
Great to see Marcs guitar tricks.
Marc is the Man, thanx🇺🇸👍🥃
Happy belated Mr. Ford. Thanks for sharing, great setlist and performance! The Crowes never disappoint...✌️

I was at this show.
Thanks for posting
A holy grail of mine is video of 10/25/96 First night.
why is that? what in your opinion is special about that show?
Saw them at the Oakdale in CT that week and they were awful. Amazing what a couple days can do. Love MFF!
lmao. That's considered one of the best shows of the tour. The jam into MS was incredible. There isn't a bad 3 Snakes show.
My Sista much love to you... I was at this show , and all the shows surrounding Boston I've seen many a good show at the Orpheum. Ahhh the good days!!!! 😍💯❤.
For me, this is The Black Crowes not the band in 2022.
The sound quality on this is magnificent! Great job, and thanks for posting! (-:

@@justinjoy3321 perhaps his point is that Wyman added an R'n'B feel to the Stones and Ford did something similar for the crowes.
Thanx for sharing Miss Amorica, fantastic quality.. I have both nights on bootleg CD . Cool set lists too .
Bro , this is the shit ! Thanks for posting !
Not a bro but thank you✌️
