  • Sometimes, it's more than just the fishing. Long time client Ryan uses his fishing and hunting trips with his son Kai to teach Kai about the outdoors life, including filleting fish. It does help though when the fishing (somewhat) cooperates.
    On this June day, joining Ryan and Kai were friends Bobby and Steven, and the bass certainly cooperated with stripers up to 40" caught. The fluke and weakfish didn't quite cooperate as well, but there was a nice two porgy surprise in the belly of the one keeper fluke we caught (which Kai, naturally, filleted).

    I been fishin starry flounder in S.E. Alaska for 30 years.
    Only in the last few years have I gotten some Halibut.
    We don't eat much salmon, so we are addicted to flats.
    Fishin for your flukes is on my bucket list.
    Thank you for the next best thing.
    I've learned a bit from ya too.
    Thank you.

    So awesome, do you feel that there is a difference in the fishing at the race or plum gut depending on incoming or outgoing tides?

      @jiggingjerks  Před 27 dny +1

      Definitely! Incoming equals Gut and outgoing I prefer the Race

    Guess my foul hook wasn’t good enough to make it the video lol

    John what net are you using? I have a Frabill with cloth type material that is constantly getting tangled with my rig, big PIA. Thanks.

      Morning Leon! It’s also a Frabill - it’s the 26 inch conservation series
