Meanwhile, M48 Patton has the shared best view range of any medium in the game alongside the 121B/Monkey King and M60. Even compared with other tanks, it ties with the RHM Pzw and Sheridan in the light tank section. It is literally in the top 5 tanks with the best view range at 420m base.
It's good. You can spot who is shredding you.
viewrange becomes useless if you can't play the open flanks or certain bushes, since you have an abyssmal camovalue
and what is the benefit to have 10 of 20m more view range than other tier10 meds? 445+ is all you need + patton has the worst camo of all. 8% vs 18% is brutal difference. Udes 15/16 has 7% worse view range but 125% better camo. I'd take that 'trade off' on any tank. BTW: WG has long time issue to ballance Patton-like tanks. From 59-Patton through snow-plow to M60/M48. They are being changed often without official announcements and they are either too strong(M48/60 - for a while) or too weak(others, almost constantly).
@@celebvoncelebrus4429 you do know that having your view range exceed 445m DOES have effect on how well you can spot tanks?
But yes, it doesn't have amazing camo, but if you play it around ridges for example, you will probably be able to spot the TDs that are trying to snipe your turret from 400m away.

This was my first tier 10, loved it. Nowadays, can’t play it. It needs a buff, and the rest of the line as well.
They are all sluggish with troll guns.
It was also my first Tier 10 and I use to really like it, had great handling etc. Now it feels lackluster compared to other tier 10s and even premium/reward tier 9s. I actually enjoy my M46 Patton more these days.
esp. tier 9, where penetration values hasn't changed from introduction of tier 10 meds ages ago. M46 has 218 AP pen, which is laughable. 'GOLD' pen is 265 - there are 7 tier 9 meds with better standard penetration than M46 has with gold APCR. At least gun handling is good, but no camo, slow, meh armor and very very poor pen...
M46 can work pretty well. Yeah the pen is bad but the gun handling and dpm really carry the tank. You can reliably pump 3000+ damage into soft targets without missing or bouncing due to the good gun stats
Exactly, this was my 2nd after e5 ang loved how it used to be the “snapshot king” now that everybody does it and does it well, this tank has nothing to show for against other meds. It just sucked as a generalist’s tank.
This time you can see nearly no Tier X Patton in WoT, this should say all about this tank.
Lots of good tanks are lost in this stigma I feel like, I just explained that my T34 performs not as good as what it used to be. Times change we know that, but my T34 is my money making tank for my tier X tanks that are money hungry machines.

Nowadays Patton has nothing to offer. If you want real sniper, you take Leopard. If you want sniper with armor you take E50M. If you want sniper with gun depression, you take Centurion. These are tanks which can do what Patton does but much better.

It is that way because that was suppose to be its intended purpose. Decent at everything but not good enough to specialize at a role. A generalist’s tank. I agree though that with everything getting buffed/nerfed, this tank was just forgotten.
Imo the tank used to be great before they wrecked accuracy/dispersion. Now that accuracy stats mean literally jacks*it as you may repeatedly miss no matter how much you aim, it´s left with being a big squishy medium without anything going for it. Sure it can be fun if you are lucky that rng is on your side.

@@joe125ful The party trick of this tank was the very good gun handling on the move. You could literally snipe things while on full gas. And yes, that was a very long time ago when they made tier 10 mediums.

Honestly same experience. Currently 2 times 94,8% for gun mark, but after, game said no. A gun fuc**d me up... totally.
Ahh...the good old M48 Patton. My very first tier 10 medium. I used to love this tank a lot too, until I got the 430U :))))
It was known for being able to brawl with hvy tanks, but nowdays when you dont have effective armour valuase of 400mm ++, you dont have armour with all the penetration escalation. And the gun is hitting the edge of the circle more then the middle, as I feel it. It had the best tier10 med gun... now like in 4.00 min

I liked this when it just came out. It was so accurate on the move that this movement offset the lack of armor. And it had the highest dpm in the game afaik back then?
I mean, I like my 121 more now.... when I hated that at first due to the gun depression or lack there off.

Some time ago this tank used to hit its shots but now? It still has crazy gun stabilization but what's from that if it misses 70% of its shots anyway? In addition, feels like it's getting penetrated through the frontal turret every time. And I mean frontal turret, not cupola on the turret.
Used to love the tier IX Patton. First tank I 3-marked. After the Leopards' rework, this line became a bit redundant. Especially since Leos have much higher standard pen, and Leo 1 can get down to 0.21 accuracy. Fingers crossed WG won't touch them
M48 should be at Tier 9, while the M46 should be at Tier 8. E slightly nerfed version of the Pershing should replace the T20 at Tier 7. For Tier 10, it should be an M60 with some added armour.

4:02 That’s why I cannot stand this tank sometimes although that was my first t10 med grind. Usually, when I give it a try, I am bouncing 50% of my shots. Seriously, I’m not kidding, aiming carefully and fully and constant bounces.

was seriously thinking grinding for it, suggestion for centurion is nice just because turret has capability to casually bounce even gold shells when angled correctly but it doesnt look sexy at all. What you suggest guys? Stb maybe? Tech tree is poppin and it seems to be a constant 2.7k dmg dealer when learned how to not expose ur hull but dunno
Go for STB. It is top of the tree now.
stb is a monster in the right situations. i used it with a max dpm+turbo build, catching a tank alone in onslaught was game over for them, especially if you get hulldown positions. buuuuut... stb1 has a kinda unrealiable gun, especially at longer ranges ( seriously, at 400m+ is just bad) and your turret will absolutely eat every heat shell on the planet. not the most op tier 10 med, especially since cent x now has a better gun, faster, and is similarly armoured, but if you get the right map... yeah
STB had incredible firepower and the versatility of the gun depression along with hydropneumatic suspension is just great. Centurion AX was significantly buffed and its HESH rounds are awesome.

i learned so much grinding for it, type 61 made so much better leopard 1 player i didnt expected that, also its so strange that type 61 turret bounced for steel wall when playing same tier opponents when in full gun depression :D anyways, appreciate the suggestion, i ride my stb 1 while feeling that im in very good versatile tank. Never tried to ram anyone still. It has horsepower for it but weight makes me hesitant. Can he do it? @@attilakatona-bugner1140
The gun feels amazing when you use stabilizer, i have absolutely no idea why would you use that mod for accuracy
Random question: What equipment should I use on my STA-1, I feel like in the index page there was so many builds that it didn't really answer my question. I currently have Vents, Optics and Gun Rammer, but I thinking of switching the vents for Improved Aiming Device.
Well, if index page has different options, there are different ways to play it. Equip it to support the way you like to play. If you hate bad accuracy, slap on aiming device or vstabs. If you want to survive longer, hardening. Index page are only recommendations anyway.
@@KhaelaMenshaK I ended up going with Aiming Device instead of vents but thinking of dropping the optics for vents now. Really feel like the gun is trolling me.
Well skill i respekt you opinion but i think its still a good weichle i bounced shorts from Grille minatuaro and Gun handling is very good in my opinion for Snapshots speed i agree with its pretty slow but turbocharger dose the truck for me.

I worked hard, back in the day, to get this tank. I loved playing it then it just got worse and worse, now I cannot remember the last time I played it…

Centurian Action king you should be callling it now sice buff, its amazing untill a heavy or TD starts shooting you
Biggest problem with Patton is his size and camo..you have medium tank with size of heavy tank.
Armor needs buff just slightly,dpm is ok and gun too maybe top speed by 5km help too.
Remembering grinding this line as first medium line in 2012!! Damm it was strong and the gun-depression😱 But now😂🤣
They need to buff the gun handling so that it's best in class. That was the entire strength of the American medium line back in the day. But that was before they buffed Leopard and Cent, which now have equal gun handling but with significantly better accuracy and better platforms.
I finally grinded it, but now hesitating with buying it. Tier IX has very good gun handling and not that bad turret armor. I like playing with it. I wonder how next tier is compared to IX.
The first thing you notice compared to the tier 9 is the gun, it feels like a laser. It's still good gun handling, just now with good pen and apcr, so high velocity. The armor feels weaker, the turret is weak against heat shells, which tier 10 is full of. Even though it's not really a meta tank, I liked the tank in onslaught. The maneuverability made it a decent brawler to make pressure with.
Vertical Stabilizer made night and day difference on the gun for me. Stabilizer, Hardening, Turbo
I actually love the M48, it's good in randoms when setup properly. My biggest complaint is the low concealment. It doesn't have anything special/gimmicky about it, it's just a solid all rounder medium tank.
I still like it, but the Centurion AX and STB (if you make it work) just do everything better, which leaves the M48 in the dust.
I too have experience that what you described, in my T34 tank that used to perform rather good (50k ~ 100k income/match) nowdays I'm lucky if I pen anything at all, I'm not too happy with WoT lately, and I have been with this game from almost the beginning (2017)

Second tier 10 I sold it for becoming MEAHHH. Funny thing is that changes to maine stats were small but we all know WG change some of the real *hidden* stats . That made the tank bad.
Maybe the Patton could work if it would be sort of an American 430U. A bit more speed and a bit more armor could revive it.
Cupola should be reduced in size, frontal armor slightly buffed OR speed up the platform as is to 50-55km/h base. If it gets both, it's a 430U with gun depression and a gun that's more solid apart from alpha. Not really balanced imho.

@@nephalos666 Udes hasn't got the upper hull armor an obj 430u or an m48 has. Udes is easily overangled when sidescraping, too. Not to mention that the gun can handle like a bloody 152mm lol. I'm not "crying" about the balance, I'm saying that the tanks shouldn't be too much alike if they're gonna give patton a rework anyway. Was there anything wrong with what I said or do you really think m48 is better off with both armor and speed and having just another hull down med? Also, it's Udes 15/16, not 16/15.
Same issues as you mentioned. It has armor but not really (not to mention small tumor on turret), gun is good but not really in comparison to other tx meds, view range is awesome but you cant really outspot most stuff you want to, even with CVS and optics, because it is huge and has effectively negative 50 camo. It's simply a case of there being nothing redeeming about the tank. It's my first tier x medium, and it is saddly kaku. Honestly it's like a tier x american chi to/chi nu
kinda sad how my tier 10s have been slowly phased out so to say, t-62, batchat, patton. Rough. Maybe they will get small buffs in the future. I always feel bad for 50B or Maus players too. But every tank has the ability to be great, but not constantly.

I cant stand the fatton anymore. I bought the amx 30b during Christmas since got my amx m4 54 as well and actually like the 30b and have a 58% win rate on it, was over 65 at best. For overall performance, love the ax, for grand battles and big maps, leo 1. The 30b does everything the fatton does but better and love the dpm. And yes, the 30b gun has been wrecked as well, but the turret bounces more shots, is smaller overall and way quicker.
I just cant handle that the Cent AX after the buff blows it out of the water with every stat. This was the to go tank if you wanted gunhandling over the better accuracy of the AX. Now the only stat that is better over it is the Pattons hull armor that couldent be called relyable as it is in the first place.
they did this with the heavy(e5 vs s. quonq who is better in every way) too.. now murica has nothing anymore.. maybe the e3, but such tanks are rarely playable..
they just hate murica..

Ironically enough, I grinded this tank recently and I have to admit it made me not want to grind anything else for half a year at least. I hope it gets a buff someday.
Pop a bond turbo on the fatton and it becomes a pseudo leo. Just a little bit slower but has the armor at distance. I really enjoy the tank.
Skill, you played the Patton like you would play the 430U, I think you mixed both... ;)
It's honestly just way too slow considering how little armor it has and the gun is so trollish for me. I think if they made the base top speed 50 and made accuracy a touch better it would be okay.
STB is my pick for top tier meds, is versatile :)

The gun has never been an issue for me unlike the armor or speed. Btw skill whats wrong with your aim time? Patton has no aim time with its gun. Maybe its your field mods. I run it only bond vents vstabs rammer and my patton feels more accurate than yours.
Use to have armor before the op armor tanks were put in the game now most people just spam gold rounds!
Vents are a wasted equipment slot on almost anything other than the artillery and some light tanks.
I actually want to see someone literally make armor out of paper, and see how thick it needs to be to stop bullets.

Used to love this tank. Had great view range and an above average gun handling. With the great gun depression compared to other Tier 10's at the time, this was an awesome ridge sniper tank. Now, with everyone spamming gold and the power creep factor, this tank is no longer relevant. Sad.
hi all, i played this game on my xbox console long time ago, i made the switch to pc recently.... so i got a problem pls help me how i fix the server error ... ??? every 20 seconds i'm in a game in multiplayers i get disconnected from the servers ... i play on steam if that might help with the issue
Like people are saying, did the grinding back in the day, because it was supposed to be outstanding. It gave me a few good games with amazing gun reliability. Then not. And never since.

Patton has completely lost his place since the buff of the cax, but if the wg buffs Patton's speed or 100m gunhandling it's just a minor copy of the cax or m60. So I think the wg needs to go ahead with the upgrade in other areas while keeping Patton's slow.
If the tank is slow, the tank can have slightly better armor. wg can reduce the size of the turret weakness or adjust the gold shell penetration chance to around 50%. The hull can also be upgraded to expect a random bounce like 140. And in this case, wg could change Patton's Versatile tag to Assault tag. Then the first three countries of ussr, usa, german would have a each own Assault mt 😉
I mean, I still kinda like this tank, but the problem is that Cent AX is just better. Gun is better and it's much faster, with similar armour, so why bother? Happy New Year. Skill.

I liked this tank until i started playing with the AX after the buffs .... and i still hate the leopard 1, that gun shits on me hard, same as the grille aim aim aim then crit hit after crit hit then get nuked by something.
I absolutely love Patton! I think its still competitive and I have my best results in this tank. Gun handling is 10/10 in my opinion
Yeah, slow medium tank with no armor and no other redeeming qualities in 2024 is just obsolete. This tank was also nerfed quite heavily quickly after its introduction. Dispersion during movement +20%, aiming time from 1.7s to 2s, reload from 8 to 8.8s, dispersion after firing +15%, dispersion during turret rotation +40%.

When I started to watch your content, like 4 years ago, one of your favorites tanks was Patton Tier X, so I was so surprised when I read the title of this video, but after those first two battles I totally get it, WoT and Patton are not they were used to be and Patton just sucks.

He uses a mod to make his reticle smaller. Hence why it went outside of the aiming circle
@@delnaro yes....but its like 2x way off the circle xD the mod only slightly change it , i play without the mod and like 80% of my shots go outside the circle or critical etc....where if i only snapshot all the time almost all my shots go in 😆😆😆

Especially power creep in this case. Too little attention for too long. Hope it's getting some together with the BC reworks WG showed off in their vid for 2024. Also, who spams gold on an m48 when you can just pen the cupola, lowerplate or the side pretty easily?
Imho, WG would be even more strategic if they also reworked the collectible tanks while they're at it. Imagine the credits players would spend if things like the AMX 30b became a sensible choice to the AMX 30 for example. Give the T-62a an edge in it's mobility over the Obj. 140 while remaining worse on other stats, make things like T18 and stuff fun to play again etc. Wouldn't be surprised if bc, m48 patton etc are going to be buffed ahead of black market or something.

A good tank is made by a good combination of armor, mobility and firepower. It is like that in the game and in reality. The complete package is not sufficient anymore after years of power creep.
At list you know with leo you dont have armor,with patton in (papper)you know you have,you pick you get pen like papper,you hate your self,next battle
Too much armor to be super slow and not enough to block the HEAT thrown at it so it's basically a really bad tank. I would go for the M60, then the T95E6 and then the M48. The HEAT in the M60 is 350 pen which is incredible, T95E6 has the gun of the T110E5 and the Fatton is the worst of the trio with 330.
Its terrifying to see Windows in light mode with all the bullshit still running.

Patton is a very solid choice but after the centurion buff, centurion ax is simply a better tank.
I think it treats you a bit better with rammer, vents, and vert stabs
It doesn't need v-stabs, there is much more useful equipment for it.
The massive target on the top is the same size as an ELC!!! I haven't played mine since getting all of the field mods, now it sits.

Hey! I just sold this epic piece of shit last week. 3 shots with gold straight into capoller of E5 at close range, all bounces was the last straw. And I noticed win ratio on my stb was 9 points higher.
One of the best gun in the game i like this tank😅
People still love the M46. But i cant stand it, prefer thr PTA and Amx30 more.
