She's the new Taylor Swift...America saw this poor white angel get "bullied" by a black person on a national stage and in response will stop at nothing to elevate her to the top. Look how Angel(Kanye) is already being downplayed by the mainstream media despite being the most decorated player in her draft class. Did it matter that Jordan and Tiger were black and got better deals than Bird or Jovic? Clark is popular because as Shaq said she is the best woman’s college player of all time and Curry said she shoots better than him! She set all time records while hitting Logo 3’s. No one else did that. The Athletic magazine had an article showing that Caitlin had a better shooting percentage than Curry from beyond 30’. Amazing stuff like that gets attention. If she were black or Asian or mixed, she’d get the same attention. It’s not color, it’s skills. No one watched Diana Taurasi who is great, won MVP’s and is white. Same with Sue Bird. Same with Breanna Stewart. If your position was right those players would have brought the attention Clark has years before because they are great white players. But they didn’t because they don’t have Clark’s skills, records and Logo 3. Case closed.

People need to stopnwith the BS when it comes to race discussions when it comes to us. If there is a crime or something negative that happens and it is a Black person you already know the words or phrases "thug", "raised by a single mother", "no father in the home", "ghetto", or "black on black crime" will be used. Arnold Swartzneggar, Jerry Jones and Bill Clinton all have side babies and outside kids and none of them will be referred to as "baby daddies" and none of the women will be covered as "baby mamas". Everything in this society is seen through the prism of race.

Her Pro games got at best 2.4 million and lost 700 thousand by her second game. She was popular because she shot deep 3's and scored 30-40 points per game at Iowa. people want to see her do that in the pros...she ain't. If she continues to play below average like she is then ratings will continue to drop. People watched her in college for the spectacle. She is not providing that in the pros. There is no fun in watching her score 20 or worse yet 8 pts. If she does not step it up, the predicted boom of the W could be over by June. Nothing about the ratings/attendance of the other 11 teams is any better than past seasons.

The saddest thing is seeing people conditioned to think everything is about race and dei topics instead of learning what it takes to be at the top of any profession.
Logic - set aside Caitlin Clark for the moment -
Look at the attendance history for the Connecticut Sun. They never ever sell out, nobody cares about the WNBA in connecticut. Now why is this important?
The biggest Monopoly of high school talent has been Yukon for years, with the majority of players cited as greatest having gone through that program. Still the WNBA team from the same state has almost zero following...
Why does the Connecticut WNBA have no following? Simply put most professional stars have to build their Legend in college. But on teams like Yukon All of the Stars cluster together, and just like the night sky you can't see a single star shine if it's completely surrounded by other stars. Simply put Yukon fails to create Stars so when they go to the WNBA nobody cares. South Carolina is the new uconn, they lose five five star players and they get five more five star players from the next class, that's 25% of the five stars for an association of 350 D1 teams. Then South Carolina goes on to buzz saw through the league and turn the championship game into a travesty. Nobody likes monopolies because they kill sport, and nobody except homers is excited about players on Monopoly teams.
If Asia Wilson had wanted to be a star she should have not played on a monopoly team. The same thing for Paige Buecker's, if she wanted to be a bigger star she could have gone to Minnesota. Instead she chose to join a front-runner.
This is not complex logic. If somebody wants to be a star in college they have to choose a path that will enable them to build their own Legend. If players failed to do that in college they probably will not be superstars in the pros.
Caitlin Clark is the only top level five star who had the courage Tupac the Monopoly system. She also smartly stay loyal to the strongest fan base for women's basketball in the country, look it up, it's history.
The rest of it is noise, nobody is denying that people see race or skin color, but they keep throwing out these blanket phrases such as "it's all about"... So when people do that they are actually invalidating themselves as an authority to talk about the racial things that actually are real.
No other player has shot the ball like Clark and no other player has set all the records that Clark set, and no other player has brought a team so lowly ranked in terms of talent so far two years in a row. No other player ever. She also did this with good character and although she doesn't advertise it she's very big and charity which we in Iowa know about and respect her for.
Instead of throwing jabs at Clark the smart thing to do would be to learn from her example.
Will that happen? It doesn't look like it. The next generation of girls aren't out trying to build their own Legend on their own teams but are all clamoring to join South carolina, uconn, and a couple of other to build super teams. They're all going to bury their own light, and this hurts all of the young women athletes, young black women included.
Give them better advice than to get caught up in this race blame.

And sorry to burst your bubble, Clark has black, white, Hispanic, and Asian fans and friends. Clark is admired because she's the all time D1 scoring champ, and 3rd all time in assists, 2 NC appearances too. That's why. There are plenty of other white players very few people care about. The first time Black Panther came out, it was a huge deal because Black people finally had a superhero they could see themselves in. No more Superman, Spiderman, batman, Iron Man's, Captain Americas. The kids finally had someone who looked like them.
Caitlin is a good player, but she would be anywhere close to this popular regardless of the scoring record if her name was Latoya Jackson, and she was from Chicago. It wouldn't matter what she did on the court. And that's OK. It's your GOD given right to like who you like based upon skin color. Even if it's an unconscious thing.

@Joe-ny2up Michael was a genius who would do whatever to reach his fans. He may indeed have gotten addicted to the plastic. But it's well known he even took the base out of his voice to be more accepted like many Blk men do in the corporate world.
But that's neither here nor there. Whether or not you choose to accept or acknowledge simple realities is your porgative.
The O.J. Simpson trial is a great example since it's fresh on people's minds after his transition. Many people from the White community believe O.J. got off because it was a majority Black Jury.
Just like many black people believe the same about Rodeny King. Despite seeing Rodney King get beat on camera by 6 officers within an inch of his life, the Cops were found not guilty by an all White jury. Which led to the riots.
Either racial biasness exists of it doesn't. Come on now.
But then, on the other hand, if you feel this way or better yet, have the luxury of feeling this way... good for you. Ignorance is bliss, as they say. Peace.
