One of my favorite fights of all time but Dom Cruz had some if the most biased commentary of all time. Poirier would land 10 punches to Gaethjes head n all Dom talked about was leg kicks. Doesn't make sense when we've seen a thousand tkos and kos and maybe 3 tkos via leg kick. The way he was talking youd think it was vice versa

It's a marketing tool the UFC uses to sell fights. But yeah ultimately it's not the real championship belt although it has different significance. Honestly it should probably be Jan and Alex Pereira fighting for it, Alex seems like the new BMF anyway plus him and Jan are the only 2 to beat Adesanya. But evidently they want the belt for guys who can't win the real championship.
