Never thought of knotting thread to needle! That seems a good one. Also using larger needle. Great tips thanks Kat. Looking forward to next video x
Thank you! I'm so glad I could share some helpful tips 😄
Great tips
You're welcome 😊
Just a FYI... Thread Heaven is discontinued but they have Thread Magic and it is the same thing as far as I can tell. Happy stitching!! Thank you for the tips. Game changer! I mean, just WOW!!!
Yes, Thread Magic is the ideal alternative to Thread Heaven...I've mentioned it in my video on thread conditioner and several other videos... not sure why I didn't specifically mention it in this one 🤷
So glad you enjoyed the tips and happy stitching 😄
Lots of great information
If I might add 2 other suggestions
1) you can use the loop method to tie your metallic thread onto the needle even if you are only using one thread. Instead of folding the thread in half making the ends the same length, make one end much shorter but long enough to do the loop.
2) if you are working with metallic thread that curls, gently wrap each end around the pointer finger of each hand, like as you would do with dental floss & then give it a gentle stretch by pulling your hands away from each other.
Happy stitching 🙋♀️🇨🇦
Oooh, some great suggestions, thank you! If I get chance to pass these on in one of my videos then I definitely will because I'm sure others would find these helpful as well.
Very, very helpful. Thank you.
So glad you enjoyed it 😃
great info!
Thank you and you're welcome 😊
Another tip that I just figured out myself is to melt the ends very slightly with a lighter since polyester is technically plastic. This stopped the ends from fraying. With this and all the additional tips you gave in your video, the x-stitching I just did went much smoother since the last two hours. Thank you!
Yay!!! So happy my tips helped you out and that you found one of your own 😄
Super helpful 😊
So that the ends don't split, I dip them in transparent nail polish
That's a really neat idea!
💜👍
