Love the fun size review... my fiancée is five two and was like this better have a side bar.
Can’t wait to see you drive one of those through the ATM drive-thru, Jill LOL
The steering is like that because you can’t put rack &pinion steering on a live axle high articulation suspension system
Love the design of it, I just wish it didn't cost as much as 1/4 of a house.
Had to check the comments because I didn’t know if I accidentally ate one of my wife’s gummies or if this woman is super small lol
My god, Jill’s eye level with the bed 😂
🤣
It looks like a Semitruck next to Jill.
Great video Jill!
What's the payload and curb weight? This would probably excel at being an overland vehicle.
So will the electric pickup be called the "Ineos Grenadier Quartermaster Fusilier"? I believe the station wagon is the Ineos Grenadier, and the pickup is the Ineos Quartermaster.
Nice and quirky. I prefer the Fieldmaster optioned out 96K.+ delivery,+ taxes + extras. Easily >100K. If you option out any model it's all the same $$$. The QuarterMaster has a 25% tax added to the main price since it is not built in the USA. "Chicken-Tax".
Should have been built it in Canada
As Canada is a British commonwealth country and is in NAFTA so best of both worlds
@@joeblack1052 The trucks have to be built in the USA to avoid the "Chicken Tax". They have all ready scouted. It will be on the East Coast. Georgia/Tenn?
One thing I haven't heard many reviewers speak of is the construction of all the button panels. The attaching screws are all easily accessible in a very industrial/military type of design facilitating easier repairs. The DIY in me likes that. Also, if you're not a DIY, the dealer network is rather sparse so you may have to drive far to do repairs and warranty work so that's a negative.
I think most people assume it's just the same as other off-roaders that were designed to be mostly in cities with the ability to spend some time off-road. In truth Sir Jim Radcliffe who owns ineos had this vehicle designed to be mostly off-road, specifically to be used in very remote places as he likes to do long distance trips in remote regions. That's why they made it easy for buyers to repair their own vehicles. I believe they offer manuals that buyers can get with instructions on how to fix anything on the vehicle. As for the dealer networks, it's still a brand new company, there's never been a brand new company that had as extensive of a dealer network as the already established manufacturers. It will grow with time
#1 reason I decided to stick with a raptor while living in MT. I’d have to drive all the way to Seattle or Boise for service.
They said repairs can be performed by a certified mechanic and won't affect the warranty. But if you do need actual warranty work, you will need to talk to a dealer. In most cases, it shouldn't cost the owner anything to get the vehicle to a dealer, but if it's really far away, there may need to be some compromise between the dealer and owner to get it there.
How are they getting around the Chicken Tax?
At 90K they got around it?
They aren't. It's included in the price.
looks good, but a lot of stuff that's needed that makes it not worth it's MSRP
like?
$87k for that huh.... Starting... You could fully a kit a used Super Duty or RAM with a big diesel for that. $50s maybe.... I just dont see whats so good about it at that price with competing offerings.
It's off-road oriented not a 2500 HD lol
It just shows how rich you are with your 12 miles a gallon that you can afford. Just Fact not Fiction. COME ON MAN
My interest? Yes. The cost? No.
Not for 87k I mean it’s just pricing itself like the current market trucks but it’s with a brand new company that has no track record. If it came in with a lot lower pricing then say comparables it would probably sell.
Just watched the video and my goodness there is some good but a lot of bad. The steering is terrible, no speedo bad, the way the infotainment screen not angled towards the driver, screen not anti glare, door being finicky to close. In all honesty why would someone by this over a jeep?
Considering the top-line Gladiators are more than $70k and this one must overcome the 25% chicken tax, I get the price. The steering, the door, the height are all purposely done to make it a better off roader. But honestly, it'll be purchased mostly by rich people wanting to look cool. Just like the exotic sports cars that never exceed the speed limit.
I'd never buy a jeep due to reliability. I would buy this with its BMW B58
Nah, this will always be a niche vehicle and you sell niche vehicles for top dollar because the people who want it are far less price sensitive than your average vehicle customer.
That front end just screams 77 plymouth volare ! And using the steering to get in and out is a big no no ! This is just a dare to be different vehicle for a dare to be different person ! $$ pit !
Sadly most trucks and tall SUVs are this way, no A-pillar grab handle anymore. But the manufacturers tell everyone to use the steering wheel. They say it is made for that. I still prefer a grab handle on the A-pillar.
🤮😂🤣😂Overprice, no horse power they will go bankrupt very soon‼️ Nice paint job though‼️
No,it's ugly.
expensive ugliness - man what happened to car designers :)
Quartermaster?
What a pretentious name
Trying to be more British than British
When there is not really anything British about it.
“Kommandant” would be more appropriate😅
It's a British company, what did you expect?
@@floofy117 how about making it in a British factory using British parts
There is nothing British about this
By the same logic the landrover is a product of India even though it’s made in Britain
It would of made more sense to build the the ineos in Canada which at least is almost British
@@joeblack1052 it doesn't really matter that it wasn't built in GB. They chose a manufacturer with a great reputation for making the G wagon and the unimog. In this day and age not that many things are made in the same country that the company is based in. Your iPhones are made in india and china yet everyone calls it american, most toyotas is the US aren't made in japan, you get the point. They can name it however they want.
@@floofy117 ineos initially wanted the old blueprints of the defender
When landrover said no
They designed this German monster and try to pass it off as British
@@joeblack1052 you can cry about it all you want, the company is registered in GB so it's British. Also you're not entirely correct. Ineos doesn't even try to hide the french and German contributions to the manufacturing, they literally sell an optional flag badge that has half the UK flag and half of the German flag on it which is placed on the side of the vehicle.
