Hi suzie, I've just reached my 50th yr and have Fibromyalgia,CFS ( chronic fatigue syndrome) and unfortunately some bulging disc's ( Hopefully surgery next year) but because of you I purchased a trampoline and really enjoy getting a little fitter that I'm now able on a good day to walk more. So thank you.xxx 😊 💓

Morning Suzi thank you for blog today. Saw the film "Black Phone" this week that was weird . As I had a quite week not a lot happening I went to see the film "Mrs Harris goes to Paris" as well what a lovely film you must see it just a nice film. Going to see Stuart Lee next week at Leicester Square, and lunch with an old work friend on Tuesday. Liked the info on salt I have many different ones as cooking is my passion and baking. It was lovely seeing Lewes, it's been years since I went there. I used to work for a building society who had their head office in Lewes and we always had training courses there for a few days.

Lewes is a very lovely town. Full of history and pretty gardens. I spent time there in the 90’s as my partner’s parents lived there. I couldn’t live there. Prices are crazy due to that London rail connection. But I found it fell asleep around 6pm and all the curtains closed. Brighton and Hove so close and yet so different. Brighton has it all on its doorstep and vibrant. I hope to choose old age living amongst a mixed age group, a city. I shall stay rooted to London hopefully. A friend said to me once, don’t retire to Eastbourne or Bexhill because if you have a fall, there will be no one young enough to scoop you up. I laughed. Enjoy your weekend.. Thanks for your vlogs and your hair is a great style and colour. And your vintage wardrobe is enviable, a marvellous collection.
I too love the fashion show in front of the beach bungalow. You are such fun. My dog has to wear a nappie too. Sure helps.

Hello it’s always a joy to see your videos. Interesting what you said about the energy of Lewes,explains my unease each time visiting. Is there similar history in Rye ? I have been there twice and couldn’t wait to get away. Touche eclat was my staple product when I worked crazy shifts at Gatwick,the only way to wake up a skin deprived of natural daylight. I like Lewes too. Haven't been to that little cinema for ages, but it's a nice one with some interesting films. Parking is always a bloody nightmare in Lewes though and expensive, I wouldn't want to be a resident on bonfire night! Loving your hair and fab specs.
Totally agree. Always respectful and uplifting. The Queen would have approved as she was the ultimate alternative ageing role model, working into her late 90s and keeping going with all her interests!

That just brought back memories! About 60 yrs ago our neighbour had her little niece to stay for a couple of weeks and I made friends with this girl as kids do. I remember her saying she lived in Lewes which meant absolutely nothing to a Brummie 9 year old. Now I've got to see it - I wonder if she still lives there?

Thanks so much for the vlog this week I went to Lewes for the first time 2 years ago. My dad was brought up there before they moved to Hove and he told me such lovely stories about his idilyic childhood and the Guy Fawkes celebrations also. I live in Yorkshire but spent my childhood holidays in Hove so know lots of the places you visit and talk about. By the way are you going to tell us about your new man friend and did you meet him through the Our Time app. xx

Hi Suzi, since you plan to stay in Brighton, will you downsize there as the years progress or stay in your present home?
I’m not sure I’ll be staying in Brighton the world and our lives are changing so much. I change my mind every week but I do know, for sure, that I will be downsizing after little Jack has gone. I just don’t know where to atm. Plenty of time for what will possibly be my last move! xx

Love your vlogs but having lived in Brighton for 25 years I can’t agree with you about Lewes. Made lifelong friends and it’s a very happy place to live.
Just going by what others have said. The cold winters put me off more though, I like being by the sea but do agree it's a lovely town. x

Great vlog it’s so true a close friend went to visit Cornwall and as soon as she arrived she felt unwell she felt a sudden agonising headache and difficulty breathing and as voice telling her to leave and she and her husband left immediately and as soon as she was outside Cornwall the heavy felling left her and she felt perfectly fine again so strange so I believe in bad energy love your black frames can you please say where they can be purchased stay safe stay beautiful ❤️

Suzi do you know the church round that neck of the woods, it firstly has plain glass which is unusual for a church you can see in and out so easily….and more importantly it has been painted inside by Prisoners of war with the most amazing mural’s. It had the most beautiful atmosphere.

@@AlternativeAgeing ah that's the question we did some touring berween Eastbourne and Lewis and sorry but it is somewhere in between, when you were in Lewis you walked a long a walled passage way and I thought you were going to come out at it, because we walked along a similar walkway to get to it.

I love the exposure I get from you on makeup items. When you tell us about them could you also tell us if they are scented? Many of us are sensitive to fragrances. For me, a strong scent can trigger my asthma. Love the YSL lipstick, but is it scented? Thanks!
Thanks Margaret, I must do more make up. I have a very sensitive nose so can definitely say none of the ones I have used have scents otherwise I wouldn’t use them! I have very sensitive eyes so am very careful. Will check out the YSL lipstick. xx

I just watched a Lucy Worsley show on PBS regarding the Witch Hunts that started in Scotland and went all the way to Salem. Those poor women! Lewes is the windy capital of the world with the crappest parking but great dog walks on the downs and quaint little bits like the Needle makers. Was that woman interviewing you so she could show off her rainbow book shelves? Surely by author is the way to go though?
Glad I am not alone with my thoughts on Lewes although I do go very often and love the Depot! I am the same as the woman who interviewed me, much prefer mine colour co-ordinated. I often can’t remember the names of authors anyway!!!! x

I was in a move theatre here in Randwick, Sydney, Australia, ready to watch the movie about the artist Lowry, when in blew Spawl onto the stage..in person..said 5 words and blow out again. What was that all about..I know he played the artist but really.. he's weird.
