Okay, this one hit me soo hard. 😭 my husband passed away similar to this. He took his life and shocked the hell out of everyone who knew him. Including me. He never spoke a word of ever doing anything like this. And most people who complete suicide... don't. And #Crypt you got it. If rather you be mad at me and hate my guts.. than for you to not be in this world. Sadly, I can't rest knowing he's gone, and left the way he did. Neither can our 3 kids. I can relate to this. I'm a recovered addict so that was my crowd and it seemed one dropped dead every month. I have a friend now that me and her are like twins mentally and I havent heard from her in 7 weeks and I'm thinking the worst and praying for the best. We are a tough crowd to find happiness from in active addiction. I feel his pain here and its horrible.
These are facts. I’ve lost many friends and even the love of family members because I’d rather you hate me because I truly care for you, then be liked by you while looking the other way and letting you hang yourself on some b.s. It can be a lonely road at times, but no one can ever say you didn’t do right by them. That’s the real way to be. Love this message and I love you Shaq. Keep doing what you do and sharing the love.

I've been in both sides of this, having put a gun barrel in my mouth 7 years ago, and i've talked down friends that were imminently about to end their life. If you fail to talk them down, call the police department in their area or the ECC number for the region that will connect with that persons local 911, and get a wellness check, i've saved two friends this way as they were out of state and I couldn't get to them locally.

I had a friend end his life 2 years ago. Not a month after that, I had another friend that was intoxicated saying he was gonna end his. I didn’t know anyone else that was close to him, so I called the cops in his home town to go check on him - from all the way across the world. I wasn’t chancing that shit, especially not right after the loss of my other buddy.
This friend still has some problems- usually when he drinks- but I think his newborn and wife will keep him grounded. We still talk.
I’d also say don’t hesitate to reach out to friends you don’t regularly see just to chat and see how things are going. It lets them know at least one person cares about them.
