You think this is so easy but you need bot your hands to lift up the glass and you can't hold it with one hand so yeah its pretty difficult to grab it in this situation.

i'd just put a sheet of metal or wood under the glass, and quickly push the calice to the side, before the glass is lifted enough, to make it fall.

@@awsomewild from what I recall it’s a custom puzzle he had someone design and make specifically for him, that’s also why it’s so pricy: maybe it changed since then, but the puzzle was intended to be unique. He got a 30 minutes long something video of him solving it for the first time, it’s strange seeing him solve it in one minute lol.

Like literally it goes down so fucking slow and he also said there was no electrical and if there’s a pressure sensor gauge and a complete pressure chamber with a thing to put the chalice back in the spot. And you can tell what she was trying to say there wasn’t anything in there because he fucking hides all the insides at the end with half a second I paused and it’s already gone when I look back at it it’s literally electronics it’s so fucking stupid

With a price tag like that I'd rather just buy some furniture from IKEA and assemble them without looking at the instructions.
That has to be one of the best puzzles I've ever seen.
For this puzzle to cost $40,000, hopefully the Golden Challis is made entirely of actual gold.

The appeal here is definitely the all mechanical aspect. It’s like watches or old singing bird boxes, people are willing to pay a lot for the incredible engineering and machining that goes into these things

The point of this is not to retrieve the trophy but the challenge and patience needed for searching founding all the mechanisms in the correct order to reach it.

In my opinion, i think that thieves will just take the whole thing or destroy it and take the valuable item. Sure, it is hard to open but is it hard to destroy? Unlike museums with probably bullet proof glass and cameras and security everywhere and maybe yeah like the idea you suggested that the whole piece gets dropped under the floor. Museums’ security these days may not be underestimated

@@rayes119 not if they made them in concrete where objects lower them under concrete floor and something slides over hole so if they did try and smash whole thing down they'd see that it's a little more complicated than just breaking it down
