Sebastian has a very thick plot armor. He was burned first by the woman, then hit in the head, electrocuted badly, then burned again during the explosion, yet somehow he is still alive 😂

@@alphaapple1375 it is mature because it has murder scenes. I was allowed to watch horror movies as a kid. My parents werent that strict. Funnily though i wasn't allowed to watch Sex and the City 😅

I don't care what the critics say about this film, I think it's outstanding.
Sure it's got plot holes and it may not be "scientifically accurate" but it's still incredibly entertaining.
Kevin Bacon is excellent as the mad scientist / murderous villain and the visual effects are astonishing, especially if you had the privilege of seeing this movie in the cinema. Great sci-fi thriller, one of my favorites.

Honestly Sebastian was too badass to die, they did him dirty. If this was released in today's time it would've been whole series and we would've gotten more action from Sebastian, phenomenal performance by Kevin Bacon 👌
I too agree that this movie was one of Bacon's best performances, and really shows his potential in villainous roles. It's one of the following reasons I think Kevin would make an excellent replacement actor for Freddy Krueger if they tried to reboot Nightmare on Elm Street again. However, Sebastian was still a reprehensible and murderous deviant too untrustworthy to be left with this power. And just like the original novel, the Invisible Man does die at the end after all his evil acts of r-pe and murder.

Well, I'm sure the Elevator Shaft eventually collapsed onto Caine if the fall and the pit of fire didn't kill him. Also, even if he did survive, he has no way up to the surface at this point. He's pretty much fucked.

Doubtful. You can kind of hand wave his durability with the serum making him somewhat superhuman, but falling from a height that high into fire that hot? There's no way he'd survive that.
Considering he survived being torched, hit in the back of the head, & being electrocuted, I’d say yes.

He was electrocuted by the power box because he was trying to hit Matt with crowbar but Matt smacked and Sebastian fell into the power box with the crowbar going inside making his body visible and somehow survived that lol.

This movie is a cult classic!!! 😍
For some reason I got recommended this clip the other day, and I enjoyed it so much I actually went ahead and watched the movie. It was definitely much better than I was expecting! Honestly surprised I'd never heard of it before. Would definitely recommend giving the full thing a watch, it's actually pretty good 👍🏽

the serum they make to reverse the affect for Sebastian, but if you look closer when he hit the fuse box and he got electrocuted his invisibility starts to wear off. If only the others new about this and Sebastian didn't turn into a murdering psychopath

The problem with invisibility is that once nobody can see you then you also should not be able to see anything.
Because the eyes are invisible as well and so is the retina.
Hence light cannot be focused or image cannot be drawn an opaque surface.

Remember they tried to bring his body to Visible. But nothing wasn't working. At 3:32 electricity was kind of able to bring his body back only the inside of his skin.
I mean they hinted at it when he turned invisible. She touches him which shows a bit of electricity.

Here's how they would defeat him They would use a little bit of electricity to bring his body back to in visibility then turn off the electricity and Sebastian would be knock out and take him to jail. That's how they would have defeated him.

The power source was mostly likely internal and would have been damaged when Sebastian ripped out the keyboard
Why didn't they just unplug the machine? No power and it can't start and set off the explosive.

From what I recall from the movie, the serum also had the side effect of increasing his aggression levels and made him more unstable.

I watched this movie when I was kid and thought that Sebastian was a villain. But when I grow up, I realize he's a good person who didn't get enough credit for his hard work and it turned him into a villain. Nobody is mean until he gets hurt and becomes defensive then people call him mean person.
