facts tho is that mechanic was once pick/ban op like opera and ivy, but after the nerfs mechanic is basically gone, yet opera and ivy are still on pick ban all the time it's always one or another, so maybe think about it again
i have both of them too and i don’t regret getting them one bit, but at the same time i wish i decided to take a chance and pull for ann instead since dancer is stronger than both mech and coord (i also got coord’s skin) who are both pretty hard to play.. they’re both in desperate need of a buff :/ i want to enjoy my skins and still win a couple of games without having to worry that the character i’m playing won’t guarantee a loss

Yeah i have Bad Matches too. Like when i get down in 30s or Something hehe. I am human after all. I cant always play like a pro. Even pro player have bad matches I Just Love to Play her. For me she is the most fun to play 💕

Its sad that nowadays with her 200 nerfs she cant even decode, which is literally the purpose of her character. A while ago I wanted to get a C badge with the mechanic, I got a little more than 1000 ch and I quit her, I realized how difficult and painful was trying to play "decently" with her :::

what kinda pisses me off is that with how limited survivors abilities are & how strong hunters tend to be, it really isn't that big of a deal to have ONE character the hunters struggle with. god forbid survivor mains have one thing going for themselves

@elesenal_Idv-Discussions i don't super keep up with the survivors that were released in the chinese server and not global so i can't say what's going on there, but the fact that for every slightly busted survivor ( say, someone like priestess or merc ), there's always a hunter that has even more ridiculous abilities! i like idv a lot even though i started recently, but the fact a survivor's abilities has such limited uses while a hunter's only downtime is cooldowns really does make the game feel unfair. i watched all your analysis videos so far though and they were super interesting for me to catch up on how characters were handled so far! thanks for the hard work as always
wdym rs (by the first point tho every character released in china server is also released on every other servers. okay to start it off, most hunters (count opera and ivy out of this) have a decent amount of counter-play in most situations, either its slow skill shot, and/or mindgames, since they do have weaknesses, but to talk into this it depends on which hunter we are talking about. Furthermore, for survivors its not more so about the "1v1" factor, but more so on team working, for example the existence of harassers. there are a lot of decisions you can make in a game to make it survivors sided, for example when it comes to saving, and as survivors if your decision making is better than the hunter as a team, it'll usually fall back into the survivors side even when nothing is going well. about the abilities part, with the hunters their abilities and a little more movement speed is all they have, whereas for survivors there are also windows and pallets that you could use to your advantage, so the hunter's abilities will almost always have to have more impact than the survivors. (i cant think of anymore reasons atm but yea) and lastly I'm glad i can help, and also if u play on Asia we can add each other but if not then never mind it
It’s a balance issue on both ends not just hunter sided. No hunter wants to fight a team of Merc, Priestess, Anti and Seer especially when they play off meta or just balanced hunters. While hunters like Opera kills the fun for non-meta survivors like mech, playing mech into Opera is pretty much being an even more handicap to your team than you already are.

she was a monster decoder, but now she ( im hate to say this) is just mid .If she get the chase , the meta hunter would kill her so fast and the bot is not even relevant( deplete more energy when on chair + 10% decode nerf from bot) which mean by the time the item depleted u might be able to pop one cipher but the time it's take to move the bot to another cipher is not a thing.If she is not the chase then it is even worse, u don't even have to pray as a mech that not 2 people is injured because it would happen once the first save is completed, then you get a 70% decode debuff which litterally mean no decoding progess
she's not even just mid anymore she's basically unplayable, maybe as counter pick to some hunters in pro but there's always and I mean ALWAYS someone better
They should just remove the vaulting debuff, and lower the debuff when survivor is injured I mean like Composer, Lady Faro, and Prisoner, they don't have a vaulting debuff still they can decode faster than Mech..
they don't necessarily decode faster than mech bc of the bot's existence, which makes her a very early game character atm, honestly buff the bot, but you still have to count in the bot for her decoding speed. definitely lower the debuff when survivors are injured tho, it's way too much especially when her decoding speed no longer makes up for it, while getting that debuff on two stacks is basically guaranteed but yea the new decoders can't have vaulting debuffs otherwise the area select just kills them the same way for the mechanic and mind's eye
Make her default decoding speed 115% and nerf it 10% (stacking twice) when teammates are injured, make the dolls decoding speed 80-90% (unchanging), and make her vault 10-15% slower and then she’s decent again without being op.

(core) this was really interesting, thanks for making it! it's a shame she got nerfed so badly. we always pick prisoner over mech for a decoder in rank since the shock for kiting / harrassing and speeding up over ciphers instead of a bot is better imo, but mech could easily be better if they'd kept some of her previous buffs. two body blocks with the doll can still be fantastic for kiting if you get it, same with body blocking small spaces for balloon escapes or harrassing, but the decoding debuff from teammates getting hurt if you don't get chased, and even full snooze if you do get chased, just doesn't do enough anymore, it's a shame.
imo prisoner is always the better choice now, the only good thing abt mechanic over prisoner is prolly that she decode faster early, but the early game centric mechanic isn't even that good early
i started playing like around the time where they started nurfing her slightly and i was maining her for the longest time but took a really long break (started playing again around feb-march this year) and gosh the fact that i couldnt do anything with her was genuinely so sad because she was the first character i played after leaving the doctor prison and would be so excited to get skins for her and learn tricks with her and the fact that she was barely viable was so sad 💔 i wish they'll buff her a tad bit because i really miss playing her without wanting to scream 💔

Hunters should always have a larger advantage over survivor. And update should be made that allows hunters to destroy pallets prematurely. With it taking some time of course. It would balance everything
I think they should take out one of her decoding decrease stacks or atleast make her bot last longer, it can barely decode a cipher let alone 2. Im not sure if this is wrong but does her bot decode slower as well? If it does they should just increase its decoding speed atleast by 10 percent. But mech is getting a buff soon so lets see how that goes...
oo mech is getting a buff? what are said are good suggestions, the stacks is actual insane like wth is -70%, in a game where they try to win there's always gonna be two people hurt and boom now she's useless basically her bot lasting longer prolly isn't the buff they're willing to do especially cos it's gone since so long ago but we'll see. ur right abt the bot decoding slower, but it says "when mechanic is controlling it it decodes 10% faster" or smth like that, which in most games that's not gonna happen for the most part, maybe not 10% decoding speed but the stacks and the bot seem doable, the decoding speed buff will just overpower them again imo but yea I'm glad she getting a buff

As an old mech player i was c badge in 2019 and a badge in 2023 she deserved some of the nerfs but they fucker her up and gave her some extreme nerfs
