Your comment about your bar having being raised so high because of your brothers cancer really hit home to me. I've never heard emotional trauma being portrayed like that. I lost my brother at the same age and have never realized that my emotional and empathetic bar would have been raised so much higher than those around me, especially my wife and kids.
Thank you for my light bulb moment!
As I make my way through your uploads, didn't think I'd find much value or motivation judging by the title alone. Obviously I couldn't have been more wrong. Superb content again in addition to slick editing that just keeps getting better and better. If Mark Lewis stock was offered on the DJIA or NASDAQ I'd be buying like crazy...
Your channel is an absolute gem, every time I come back I find some new, something interesting, motivating, just finished my first Spartan Ultra and wanted to say thank you for all this helpful content.
Was my ultra tough? Nah, my body is hurting tho but my soul is happy.
Absolutely agree with you, there are tougher things in life .
Thanks Mark.
I personally had Hodgkin's lymphoma when I was 20, so that struck a surprising chord when you dropped it, especially for a child! And I can 100% attest to that gentle reminder whenever things seem to be getting hard. Love your videos dude.
Your content is absolutely fantastic. Instructive, entertaining and this video in particular is so well edited. The rhythm is just right.
I had watched most of your videos but somehow missed this. Love the definition of true toughness that really puts it all into the proper perspective
Recently stumbled across your channel and I got to say its a great watch!
You hit home about life being tough and I too have faced many challenges through the years. Recently again with my wife battling cancer for the second time.
You really couldn't have summed that up any better! Keep going with the channel, i am loving the humour!
Gosh Mark I do like you style and philosophy, really enjoyed watching a good few of your videos. Not tough ! ..True enough… relative We have no idea what is like to be HUNGRY…. or THIRSTY… etc …at times we think we have been hungry and thirst .
Parents need to have their kids watch this. Good stuff... my wife tells the kids not to ask me if something is going to hurt because I always say “not much. There’s a lot worse”.
Just found your channel. Loved the first 2 videos. Can’t wait to watch more!
Mate, class, once again. Top notch
Incredibly valuable video, well done Mark
Pretty lighting, that food looks tasty. Well done to your brother, you and family.
Thanks for another great video. 👍
Yep. Keep going please Mark. Great stuff
Ha ha I completely agree! Exercise, running, cycling is great fun and should be treated as such. It simply doesn't warrant the exaggerated seriousness some people attach to it. Life can be very hard going for a run is joyful!
i dont know if its seeing/experiencing the massive adversity/trauma or other additional factors that create this type of character...but they really need to find it and bottle it. Its so rare to find nowadays. I think its amazing/hilarious that you used the 2 heroes joke in the same video as your brothers story, perfect. On a side note, have a listen to the Stuff You Should Know podcasts. Really alleviates my boredom on activities & i think you'll "get" them
really enjoyed the editing on this one
I watched your Garmin vector 3 "review" video before this one...feels like I got spoilers beforehand
So true thanks!!
Loving all your videos.... so inspiring. Does your job involve motivational speaking?
2:59 well the only coasting indoors is down the alpe du zwift :D
Another fab video... How long before the Haribos came out of the bin? Enjoy the seaside
Bike picture in the background 👌
mark lewis it's appreciated!
Out curiosity, what armrests do you have on your Kickr Bike?
Hi mark. Did you complete the Ironman?
Anyone have an idea of how far before the planned iron man this video was?
About six months - this was October 2020, and the race was supposed to be March 2021
Oh dear, you bought Garmin Vector pedals....
@@MarkLewisfitness optimism will win the day, and, when it doesn't and the battery door fails, I can tell you a good place to egt Assiomas from 😉😂
@@MarkLewisfitness hope the garmins are all good. If not I definitely recommend the Assiomas - they are excellent.
Mark, isnt hindsight a wonderful thing!
Doing standup vs. being a oil rigger. Basically the same. 🤡
why are all your videos 1 year old :(
