Nomifactory! The continuation of Omnifactory, a pack I've been wanting to replay ever since I finished it last year. I think this is going to be a lot of fun again this time round as we try to optimise progression and check out some of the new editions and features.

For anyone watching this, the issue of the sugarcane dropping onto the sand can be solved with a hopper minecart directly underneath. ITheyll suck up items that land top of the block above it. Kind of expensive iron-wise, but adds a lot of efficiency.

You only need the Redstone Conduit with the Sensor filter on every third Snad block. It will update 3 Snad at once, the one its connected to and the Snad on either side of it.
Couldn't you just use a redstone torch?
@@bmobmo6438 nope, sadly, for making things grow *one time* it needs a pulse, to make it grow *other time* it needs another pulse, like a redstone clock, or a timer. a redstone torch is constant, so it won't work.

LETS GOOO Nomifactory "speedrun"? Best 1.12 expert pack. Actually pretty interested to see how fast you could reasonably finish the pack given the experience from the first playthrough :) I thought you will try the ceu edition though. I guess CEF spam is still alive? 🙃

Yea CEu is way better than the normal ver, but both versions are fine :D

I’m rewatching this series as I’m playing Nomifactory CEu, it didn’t even occur to me that there were such tiny differences in recipes, like I need 6 panes per glass tube while you only need 4, you get 3 transistors while I get 2, etc. I prefer having the transistor nerf though as you need 2 per circuit and it makes it easy for me. Oh yeah and I should mention that you need LOTS of steel early on, since the primitive blast furnace is in the pack and lets you turn wrought iron into steel. They use that to make a lot of recipes that use wrought iron use steel in its place, like lv casings.

Idk if you'll see this but this is the best modded minecraft content out there, I always thought modded mc would be super fun to watch if it was edited like this and not just boring unedited footage like most, and your editing style is perfect, anyways keep going man you have a talent not just for mc but for making great content❤

Until you can make a vacuum chest you can pick up the sugarcane in your farm using a minecart hopper underneath it since they can pull items through full blocks - sometimes vanilla solutions can be the best ones
I think you should play Nomifactory GTCEu. In my opinion GTCEu is way, way better than GTCE

This is awesome! I'm just about to get the Heart of A Universe in Nomi 1.2 (I was way into 1.2 before I found out 1.3 dev was a thing and I didn't want to switch). Really excited to see how to tackle this. I've learned a lot from you already.
After tank, switch to dev. Believe me, because you need too much of random stuff like ender dragon data model, some plates and wetwares which can be solved with processing arrays and dml simulation multiblock. Otherwise prepare yourself for the amazing chaos shard grind.

Im back for round 6 or 7 I don’t remember. Im glad you’re enjoying playing Minecraft and making content again, even when it’s not Nomi. I don’t know but this is the only series next to ATM 7 to the Sky which I keep revisiting. Probably because I keep playing Nomi myself, I think im getting close to 1000h combined in this Modpack alone, and after playing hardmode twice to EV/IV, I now have a run in normal mode where I am so close to Creative Tank. I probably couldn’t have made it this far without this playthrough because even after the 5th time I still keep learning new things. I guess you helped me through some “tough times” even when it’s just in a Video Game. I already have plans for my next Nomi world,maybe making a base inspired by your Inferno base instead of a lawnbase, but I want to finish my current playthrough first.
(Just noticed that every single sentence starts with I, this really turned into a monologue of me telling stuff that happened)
I also saw you have the News for GTCEu role in the discord, maybe its a sign, who knows.

From my play through this pack, CEF is super OP. you can cheeze it output, if there no battery = output 1 amp, put battery in second slot = output 2 amp. It can also use thermal capacitor bank as battery

In very long speedruns with progression systems like this its actually really common to loose time earlygame to set up better for later in the run as you improve.
Terracotta -> Clay dust -> electrolysis for silicon among other things. Lost cities really is insanely useful for gregtech. Also the quartz is nice for fused glass.
Don't forget aluminum.
The timer is a cool idea. I'm attempting this pack, I never got very far in omni.
if ur doing omnifac then switch to nomifac ur missing out on so much

I did do some converting for the 4 RF= 1 EU:
10,000,000 / 4 = 2.5 million EU per capacitor. You have a total of 10 million EU backlog
One year later, they made Snad harder to make!

Redstone clocks can really simply the sugarcane farm
Minecraft with hopper under the snad can pick the items on top of the block

He will continue gtnh but the time to make episode is getting longer. So he will play both pack at the same time. Nomi is being used to stop downtime in the channel upload.

Ok can someone explain to me what settings you need on the conduits connecting the observer to the piston in the sugar cane farm? I tried every way I could think of and nothing worked. I managed to set it up just using normal redstone, which luckily works just as good because it all grows at the same rate, but it bugs me that this just doesn't seem to work at all.
how did u do it with vanilla redstone? i am having the same problem

Little hint. Build the cablese vertically and not horizontally, you could put more machines on less cable 📈

I know I'm way late to this series. Started the modpack today. Where is the special Crafting Station in this video from? It doesn't appear to be in the current pack. The current pack has the Forestry Worktable which is similar, but doesn't have tool slots and doesn't connect to an inventory.
Oh you are in a very outdated version. I would highly recommend updating before you proceed. You can find details on discord for the most up to date versions :)
You don't need to go mining for diamonds, you can buy diamond ores using nomicoins which can be obtained from quests or the bounty board
He can but rn it’s too early in the pack to spend a lot of coins on Diamond since the ore is one of the luxury ores.
He knows already, this is his second playtrough.
for fortune if i remember correctly the enderio enchanter can be crafter very early on
Yes but sadly fortune and smelting do not stack I tried it before and you always get 1 ingot.

I tried to get into the Omnifactory modpack, but using Logistics Pipes. I kept running into issues with the ordering system ordering 1 of an item, and machines with multiple recipes that kept jamming up. I eventually put that modpack on the revisit list, someday. I know Direwolf20 had some success by adding a mod that helped out with the crafting issues, not sure if I know enough to set that up myself though. Does anyone have any idea if there's a version of Omnifactory that has the Logistics Pipes in it, with fixes for the ordering system? Autocrafting was a pain, because whenever a machine got stuck, I had to go look around for which one it was that had less of an item than what it needed. It would be nice to be able to revisit that modpack, with a fixed Logistics Pipes mod. It certainly looked like a lot of the Logistics Pipes could be used to get some early game automation going and I had some success with that route, could get certain simpler recipes set up correctly and running.
I'd also like Logistics Pipes with Omnifactory or some other modpack in a more recent version of Minecraft. 1.12.2 had some weirdly annoying bugs with mobs that didn't despawn properly due to a server/client desync. Client thought a mob was still there but it was only a ghost and I had to log out of the world and back in to get them removed. 1.12.2 has some other weird issues, like crashing whenever it feels like it, locking the player into the bed if they explore too far away from their base, and teleport back. Urgh. Fixes needed, I really want to see that happen someday!
I truly wish i could get back into Minecraft, I love tech modpacks so much but there's a mental wall blocking me from actually playing.

Would you be able to show your total time played/number of minecraft days at the end of each episode?
The counter in the bottom of the screen is an accurate representation of total playtime, since I'm playing singleplayer, so every moment the game isn't paused the timer counts playtime :))

Wow this is such a surprise! I would recommend NFu or NFu hard mod tho since there is a lot more content in nfu and progression is deeper and has a lot of difference (specially stabilized miners and no dml) in hard mode than dev.

honestly this was very unexpected. anyways isnt your GT world on a server? so cant you get stargate by leaving it offline to grind for like 10 months and move on, and afterwards have one final episode for stargate?
