Johnny and Sonya are definitely one of the most awkward and hardest combos to explain in MK. Who else is old enough to remember Paula Abdul and MC Skat Kat's video "Opposites Attract?" It came out only a few years before the OG MK!

you can also punish with F1 and it combos into the hype activation into the nut punch. It is a little better than just a stand 4 because it advances forward pretty good.

super, you can get slightly more damage if you do the variation in my videos, and after the first two sonyas, if ur in the corner after u do the s4 into rising u can do s4 s4 into nut punch into the other two sonyas

Im confused, when i try the first nut punch into sonya, the opponent is slightly further away than in this video and so i cant connect the kick before it can be blocked, is it a timing thing or does Johnny have to be right next to the opponent?

@@massivepuff for all her blast you need to hold for tad bit then release. It gives Johnny time to hit the second one and so on

So how broken is JC now, with this tech? Being able to have access to high damage as well as barely any sort of negative consequences to resource management since Sonya comes back quick as well as Johnny spending one or no bar is kinda busted imo

It was a wake up so if he tried to hit him he would of had armor it didn't matter about the actual attack

What's wrong with jumping in fighting games? I've seen a bunch of youtubers complain when people jump, or talk smack about someone doing it, and I've never really understood why 🤷🏼♂️
Very easy to punish someone for doing so it leaves you very vulnerable in the air since you can’t block
@jorgeandrade5612 but if it's easy to beat, then what are they so mad about? It just sounds like they're saying "I'm mad that I'm better than you", which is kinda dumb. If anything, they should be mad at the game for having AI that's generally bad at anti-air (or punishing down+2's, since they complain about that too), because most people develop those habits in single player. They would hate playing me, I'm a masher with LOTS of bad habits 😂

Mk1`s back forwards, amplifies and special cancel just dont work sometimes and its realllllllllyyyyy frustrating especially when u lose the game because of it.
