Pete also shares his opinion on Ben White’s decision not to play for England during this summer’s Euro tournament and if it is wver acceptable to turn down playing for the three lions.

Obviously he could have something going on in his private life but from Ben White's stance, Southgate always picks his favourites regardless of form, so why go and train for a game you may only get 10 minutes in when your team is in a title charge and latter stages of Europe. Maybe he feels better staying with the Arsenal team who can keep him fit and ready.
You just want to dislike southgate. Literally every situation where someone turns down their country for any reason they are crucified. But there's enough helmets who don't understand football that hate southgate. So yeah, well done Ben White for dissapointing the fans and turning down your country

IMO a friendly isn’t something the players get geared up & excited for as there’s no trophy. If we lost 5-0 to a second string Brazil team I’d be concerned but we played well in spells, could have done better with the 8+ corners we had & Watkins didn’t really get into the game. i've always thought an unseeded FA cup type competition covering the whole world instead of the friendlies ...... we play teams outside europe so rarely - and even more rarely with something at stake and the game means something ...... there no way there wouldn't be any great upsets and unfancied teams having a good run. would be able to do it every year ..... world cups come round so slowly ... im 45 and i've probably only got another 8 world cups left and that's if i'm lucky. could do this annually and i think it would so much better than nations league

I love Crouch and Sid but I just can’t stand Chris and have stopped watching.
Personally, I can't see Germany beating France. Expect a comfortable win for France. I also think England will beat Brazil. We shall see though 🙂 x
If Ben White isn't suffering something serious, then he has turned his back on his country. That's the way I see it. I don't expect everyone to agree, and am not bothered if they don't.
