What up with that sugar booger🎉 lol
Hey, that's my recipe!! Great job and thanks for trying it!!. Forry for not being more detailed...I coat the tail in the candied zest and some S&P, then sautee the tails in butter. The BIGGEST thing I may have left out was to crush up the zest to a finer powder so it coats a little better (either a coffee grinder or mortal/pedestal)...almost like kosher salt sized granules. Then when it's done,. top/cover it with the butter you used to sautee it or a little extra drawn butter on top. The butter just adds more richness to cut through the candied orange zest.
Oh, and I've used aluminum foil in the past...definitely parchment paper next time :D
Also, sauteeing with the orange zest in butter first helps make it cling to it.
You mean to tell me after years of marking numbers you don’t know what mark # 48962 is?!! Great tip on the notes
If you’ve never been to the keys and seen what a windy boating nightmare it is, especially in the winter. You wont appreciate how incredible of a day this is
haha
They are few and far between!
Took my girlfriend snorkeling in September years ago and I haven't been able to get her to go with me since. The fish had plenty of food though...
Brought the kids there after Christmas to Snorkel? Small craft advisories, no snorkeling, to say the least!
@@clenaghenBonaire!
This dude is so calm all the time, genuinely don’t think he can be mad!
🤣
Bob Ross style
Thank you for taking us on your adventure! It reminded me of my offshore charter days even after fishing over 200 days a year for years I always got so excited when we booked a 12 hour trip I would not be able to sleep..It was so much fun getting way offshore and search for new spots. Always go to new areas and usually find enough to make the trip if not I had some get well mangrove and gag holes. Just absolutely loved searching 40-50 miles offshore. The small rocks were the best no one else except God knew they were there. Have caught hundreds of grouper and snapper on those little ledges. Just brought back some great memories. Thank you brother!!! Always look forward to seeing you!!!
Thank you Jesus for an awesome life!
The clarity of the water is beyond amazing! Thank for sharing this content. It absolutely made my day!
It’s amazing there
It's 12:AM in Africa, that's my quiet moments to watch your video, and I love how you take note on free driving alone, a bunch of loves and greetings from 🇳🇬
much love from across the pond brother!
Catching and cooking your food is the most rewarding feeling.
Your boat confuses me.
Must be a Yankee lol
I’m from Mississippi and I was confused too for a minute.
Touche
It's like a water segway
Now thats a slicker, sooooo clear , love the search areas where you dont have any , still cant get used to the tiny helm.
Try the parchment paper and dont dry it out completely, coat the top and press it in and let the broiling do the final caramelization, other options are sour orange , mango and key lime.
As always thanks for your time.
As usual, awesome video! Since you are taking recipes. This one is very simple, but I will say it will blow your mind. I split the lobster in half, keeping the head and tale intact. I stuff grouper in the head part, cover with garlic butter, and put it on the grill shell side down until completely cooked. I do not flip. The grouper takes on the flavor of the lobster, and it is delicious!! Enjoy
I have noticed that a certain better half always seems to show up in the kitchen at sampling time! So awesome that you both can enjoy a fantastic harvested meal like this!
So many people go out and they really really don't appreciate how beautiful nature... really take it in... especially people that are always out there ... they take it for granted....it's amazing how you still have that Wonder
Still gets me every time
@@KeyWestWaterman that's somebody that's grateful
Thats awesome you're still finding new spots even after being down there for 10 years!! Have a great day Aaron!!
I would hate to think I could ever find them all!
@KeyWestWaterman
I have too many kind things to say. You're above average and can literally explain what to look for and what's going to be in that specific area due to the habitat. To me it's fascinating that you're still finding new spots.
Excellent! Another beautiful day in paradise. Live the dream brother!
Scouting is one of my favorite things to do. A little marking tip that we use. Name your bigger marks with something descriptive that will clue you on what's there and mark the small spots with just the numbers. That way you see names for big holes and numbers for little holes.
Super clear water for spotting lobsters from the boat Awesome Aaron😊🤟😲😳🦞🦀
I can’t imagine you get many days like that in October, beautiful, enjoy & thx for sharing
they are a treat!
Those couple days two weeks ago were awesome. It was like an aquarium off of Sawyer. Did the exact same thing as you did in this video and took advantage of the crystal clear water to find new spots.
Wow!!! Talk about a slicker. Beautiful!!!
Thank you for taking me places that are calming.......
Thank you for posting a vid!!! Always love the notifications of your channel.
as always thanks for coming along!
Another Great Video Aaron! You are definitely the "Bob Ross" of Diving! I was thinking... in your recipe add grated ginger and the thinly sliced white parts of green onion, and use the thinly sliced green parts for garnish.
Great visibility in the water. Makes us want to do an adventure in Key West! Thanks for sharing!
Days like these are when life-long memories are made.
Hey, Aaron 👋🏼 That ledge looked like a perfect find! Do your best!
🙏
Great video brother.
Certainly enjoyed watching this as it is beginning to change seasons in North Alabama.
Congratulations to you both.
Micky C
Aaron I really love it when you do the underwater voice overs, it makes it easier to know what you are doing. That's fantastic. Any news on videoing the wedding???? We really want to be there to see it don't let us down please!!!😮😅
You’re a sniper with that snare man! It’s not as easy as you make it look. So cool that you have this as your backyard! Im stealing that longline/anchor trick too, thanks!
Wow, 67 more days til we head down from Michigan. You make me yearn to be there. I can’t believe how you can spot antennas so well. Practice, practice. Thanks for sharing!
🙏
Lobsta Ala orange 🍊 crunch 😆 🤣 😂 😹 Great video as always.
Awesome video, brother. Unbelievable water. We ate in Sugarloaf Key for all of March.
Aaron, (Aron?) I love your content!
Inspiring to see someone living their dreams and achieving goals. Nice work!
Aaron is right! and really appreciate that! doing our best to enjoy life!
You should give the style of snare that is a simple loop on a stick a try, without the spring loading feature of the green one. You can often slip it behind a lobster under a crevice and pull in a single motion without needing to tickle them out to open it up behind them. Great video as always!
Good anchoring system……adopted! Thanks, Andrew
works like a charm!
I like Madelyn’s salad idea. Some spinach, cranberries, feta, sunflower seeds, some almonds slices or pecans or walnuts, a citrus or raspberry vinaigrette. Drop some chunks of that candied orange covered lobster on top. 🤌
That video was awesome! I liked the concept of the unknown, exploring areas that are new to you. Glad you were able to get a few bugs along the way. Maybe give the recipe another try? I would, seems promising, unless the taste was clearly not going in your direction. Enjoy the day!
Brings back memories. When I was a boy living in the keys in the early 70's, someone had placed a bunch if car hoods out in an area and they were always full of lobster. I'm sure nowadays that's illegal.. Thanks for sharing your day.
I too grew up in old Miami (Palmetto 78✌️) and it was a special time to be there. Watching Coconut Grove growing from the Boat show at Dinner Key and then the hippies and then the leather boys 😒
And now the $$$$$$
I remember back in the 70's and my brother working at Tackle World in South Miami with Mel Shapiro.
Às young hippy
Awesome day . I've got a buddy in his 60's . He has his dad's old journal that has 50 years of his spots he hunted. He won't let anyone touch that book. It's sacred . Thanks for another great Monday video.
Thanks for sharing your day, if Rick is reading thanks for the recipe. if you like an Old Fashion the simple syrup might have been worth saving in the fridge 🥃
I hope you realize your living in paradise. I’m taking my trawler there in January.
Have fun. Love your videos.
Its awesome that you have so many knowledge to share and still have some "secrets" to show. You just said it in the first seconds: wow. Nice spots and I believe no other capt do this like you. Im always learning and having fun. Thanks, Aaron!
Not very often I see a nice classic boat build, nice helm setup, reminds me of a marlin boat how your up front over the bow, well done. Hello from alaska
18:00- 19:00 this is a man who knows his environment. that impressed me.
Really enjoy your videos keep them coming.
Excellent videos... Attaching a GoPro to a 10-to-15-foot pole would go a long way to checking out the potential of a ledge overhang before going in... Thanks for bring us along...
Was just down there this past weekend. Unfortunately you were all booked. The keys are magnificent. Had lunch at the hogfish guess that was close enough lol.
Amazing!! Great video Bud!
Glad you enjoyed it!
I think part of the fun for us is finding spots. It’s a part of the hunt if that makes sense. Thanks as always for taking us along! ❤
I couldn't agree more!
Where do you live ?
@@hxesluvshadae3761 I hope you’re talking to Key West Waterman. If you wanna know where he lives, it’s kinda in the show.
I dragged my boat to Marathon for a week of lobstering and mahi. The weather was great, except for some passing showers. It was late Sept. We were north of the 7-mi bridge and found no ledges anywhere. All were apparently filled in with sand from previous years' hurricanes. There were four of us hunting and desperately searching to no avail. Going to the Northern Honda Keys was about 20 mi. Not worth it to roll the dice on finding any, as it was late in the season. Obviously, my area was picked already, In years past out of Big Pine Key to the north was very productive. I'll probably never go to the Marathon area again.
Great video!
I’ll be down there the beginning of November. Solo trip on my boat for five days doing exactly what you where doing. Fishing, lobstering and crabbing. Hope the weather is good.
Very beautiful view, the sea water is very clear, Boss Qu...
Amazing lobster hunting.
That’s how we have found many spots. Clear day float around. It’s awesome and fun.
4:55 a little white powder under the nose always helps
Madeline appears to have slimmed down for the wedding. Congrats and good luck.
Keep up the great work,I love the lobster videos
congrats on the full time, enjoying the calming diving vids and learning in the process thanks!
Cool to see another pyro in here. This is my second hobby lol
If you ever make that dish again, save the infused simple syrup and use it in cocktails, homemade Italian sodas, etc. I’m sure it would be killer. Love the vids!
Very nice! look so clear water.
Great video Aaron! Love the seek & find attitude. Hard work always pays off while most viewers want the “Now tell me the best place” attitude, so I can sit on my f#t a#s and reap the rewards of your hard work. Sad but accurate view of all the ones who keep asking “why don’t you say where you are”. Lol. The lobster dish may have been ok for some, but likely not for all. Just like your 2 reactions. However, before you say no, try the recipe as presented… get parchment paper.
Thanks for sharing!!!
Good tip. anchor clip! I dive off a kayak, using a folding grappling anchor. .
Beautiful water
Yes it was
You gotta try fried lobster. Works well with warm water tail. Seasoned flour ,buttermilk, season flour with a lil cornstarch in it. Serve with wine joe crabs sauce. Fire!!
Yes, crunches are the way to go!
Pretty cool. I make my own snare/tickle stick with wire and a random wooden stick when I'm traveling abroad if Lobstering is allowed. Those fancy snares are too long to travel with, but they sure are awesome.
Great video! I recently noticed the lobsters with the gray mark on the underside of their head always have orange (I’m guessing the beginning of eggs) in their heads. I try to let those go now whenever I find them
Wow what a Beautiful day!
Yes it was!
Another great video. Your new boat looks perfect for what you're going after. I'm curious, you're gheenoe ledges, do you find any slipper or shovel nose lobster on them. Here in Sarasota we find them mostly in swiss cheese bottom. Keep up the awesome work my friend, stay healthy!!
it surely is! and on very rare occasion, I've only caught 3 in the 10 years I've been here. actually saw one the other day on a coral head but it was super small.
Damn those seas ! Am a merchant Mmarina and days like those are special, some of the best waters are close to you Dry Totuga
i live in the las vegas desert and this looks like a day my soul and mind need. seeing the earth like this seems unreal to me
"Do Your Best" Lol-Lol(!!) ... good one 🙂.
I’d be curious to see vids like this for finding gamefish spots and reef fish spots if you’re ever up for that. This was a great one. In the end I’m finding it certainly is time on the water that’s the key
Congratulations happy wedding wish you both a happy healthy life cheers
Great video..... Thanks! Cheers!!
Looks beautiful out there.
It was!
I used to do jetski tours around key west, we'd do a tour around the island which was about 30 miles
Man i need to get out to florida for some fishing/diving. looks so fun to just go out and catch stuff to eat
Delicious 🫶
Hoping one day I'll catch the lobster & make this awesome dish.
Good episode it just needed more crunchies! 😂
Hello from Fiji. Awesome video.
Try these recipes on:
Smoked King Meatball Subs - just how it sounds. Tight meatball with only enough egg and bread crumb to hold it together. Sear it in olive oil and pour in Red pepper marinara. Provolone melted on a good roll. YUM!
Trigger Green Curry and Jasmine Rice - Maesri Green Curry paste, coconut milk, fish sauce, sugar, salt, lime leaves, lime juice and Thai basil - cook carrot, trimmed snow peas in sauce til fork tender - add raw Trigger & Zucchini or Eggplant. Simmer for 4-5 mins. Serve that mouth-gasm on steamed Jasmine Rice. Any firm fish will do.
Great day to be out on the water ❤
You got that right!
Aaron, you have eyes better than an eagle to spot lobster antenna in the water under the ledge.
haha lots of practice!
Excellent!!!
🙏
Might it be a foolish question? Can they cause harm or are they defenseless?
Awesome video! So fun to find new spots and those ledges look awesome!
Question: (I believe I know the answer based on how careful u are, but others might have heard the same thing) The guy who taught me to lobster would break an antenna in half on shorties so he could distinguish them easier and not catch again, believing they would grow back. Assuming from your careful handling you believe that would disable/doom the lobster?
America is such a beautiful country
it def is!
Y’all are so funny together ! Love the shows n glad you could get out of the grind bro. My wife is in real state in the Bahamas but used to live in r so it’s nice having the extra income now. Let me know if y’all ever want to come visit Eleuthera, harbour island, where we work, or Spanish wells etc. I’m sure the internet world can be brutal so glad to see y’all staying so positive! Fyi if you don’t follow her already diversteph shot the world record Wahoo out of Spanish wells. The Wahoo down here will destroy fisherman’s tackle n put you to your diving limits! Have fun and if your in your down this way give us a shout!
Mom had a Recipe for
Orange 🍊 Flavored
Fried Chicken 🍗
So the Orange and Citrus flavor is Versatile. Yum 🎉
Lobster goes well with coconut. shredded coconut in reduced coconut milk. Brown off the fresh shredded coconut lightly in butter finish with garlic paste and a little lemon. deglaze with coconut milk and white wine reduce to half. Pan sear the half tail then pour the coconut sauce on before baking for 5-7 min. Top with fresh lemon juice and zest.
Tossed coconut salad, New England boiled coconut, fresh coconut water!!!
Nothing beats butter garlic and salt 💪
right!
Try to put an polarized sunglasses over the camera. Works great for water
You do any giggin with that setup? Try Sebastián inlet. Some huge flounder. Be a great night time video.
I'm pretty sure I just saw you on the haulover inlet channel I think they labeled you as one of the pros haha I guess the algorithm knew too and now reccomended your channel
not familiar with it will have to go check it out!
@KeyWestWaterman I thought it was but I just checked again and it's not... your boat is alot nicer than the one I saw lol
The title was
A Little Reminder of Who Runs the Block Haulover Inlet Boats
@ the 6:50 mark
Aloha. Personally glad you tried this recipe, tired of hearing from Rick. Though I would have kept the simple syrup. Beautiful day.
@keywestwaterman old dude up by me told me to bring #2 pencils and write the description on the console. It erases/wipes off easy and you enter a good throughout description at the dock
even "A Perfect Day" can't fully describe it
Oh DAAAANG!! I don't remember the last time I've seen it that flat...
you have a beautiful boat
If you try the orange again, save the simple for margaritas!
Greasy flat and clear, Cheers
