- A custom build steel flatbed tray, here is the full build in under 10 mins! I made this video for the people that want to quickly watch the whole process to help them on their own custom trays! I really enjoyed making this video and watching the process myself as so much time and work goes into a project this big but the end result is so worth it! I love the look of the custom steel trays and cannot wait to use this beast more now! thanks for watching and I hope this video inspires some people to give it a crack, thanks guys :)

Man I love those round headlights with the turn signals built right in them that's freaking great
Awesome job mate, great to watch
Must be an awesome feeling to have a great looking tray and say you’ve done it all yourself. Wicked job mate 👍
Love what you are doing, it is simple but satisfying after all...
Amazing work mate looks great🤙
That's a nice flat bed I mean steel tray looks good.
Well done, came out great brotha! 👊💯
Some fine work there mate!
Thanks Andy!
Can't get enough of yor vids
Can’t get enough of your comments ❤️
Awesome job looks incredible. I may be trying to copy. My bed got damaged and not want to replace with stop. Thanks for sharing.
Super nice build! Great job. Subscribed
I did a similar build around 30 years ago on a Ford P100D, although I used reclaimed 2 inch thick oak boards for the bed rather than sheet steel, whole build took three afternoons plus a couple of hours on the forth day for wiring up the lights.
That would have looks great! Well done!
Nice build I love the guy in flip-flops.He will regret that one day.
Came out mint👌👍
Sick rig! 💪🤘
Awesome job, it looks bad ass !!!
Lookin good bro can’t wait for what’s next
Thanks ridge!
This is for the blokes that don’t wanna watch 7 episodes 👌
Crazy, seeing all the small details in between is the best part
legend
Great job
know that is one nice 4x4
Running the proven technique know as “the safety squint “ ! This is popular in pit weld shop at the mine here in Canada as well. Nice one fellas !
looks good mate
Nice build
Now flip the hitch and bolt it to the top of the frame, would give more ground clearance in the rear and fill the gap between bed and frame.
Seen it all , great to see in a quick vid, but ya only showed it after the white was grey, loved all the build vidz,
Fenders mud flaps glued on plate
N then you HEAR a rice burner rev lol
Girly man you have bin trimed
Nice build I like it
Can't believe that one dudes grinding and Welding wearing sandals he'll figure it out when something heavy lands on his foot in the other guys just wearing tennis shoes
the best part is it looks like he's wearing hi-vis, because you know.. safety
A nice big blob of molten Mig wire soon teaches a lesson to remember
A lot of people act like disregarding safety measures is badass, until the point they are humbled by their own mistakes. It is foolish having impressionable youth looking up to you and fail to set a good standard for them, otherwise killed the tray despite the obvious inexperience with metalwork.
Flip flops are the only way to roll in the shop man! Nothing lets you know if your shop is OSHA-compliant and clean more quickly than bare feet! Ask me how I know...
Nice editing on video mate
The dude welding in flip flops is my people
Oh and don't get me wrong you have an excellent build there that truck is awesome I wish it was mine
Thank you mate! Much appreciated
Now build a flat bed camper for it!
Nice work champ, pulling off some clean as f fab work.
Had you welded much before this mate? You really inspire me!!!! 😁🙌👌
Hey champions, thanks for the awesome content. I used your vids alot when building my tray.
What size steel did you use for the back of your tray 150x50?
I'm thinking of changing mine to be similar to what you've done.
great video!!! music, shots, angles of everything was killer!!! loved the ending drone footage!!! what video editing program are u using?? cheers from TEXAS!!
Very nice
Thanks!
Mom i cant transport things right now, only with strapers that people can take my things in the parking kkk
Nice build. Sub’d. ever think of taking the hitch off and welding right to the back frame? It sure would clean up the departure angle. 👍🏻
This is so good to watch, you never see people videoing there trays so cool to watch. What are the dimensions and the steel you are using?
Thanks mate!! Most of it is 75x50x3
Great looking build - truck and tray! Any idea how much the tray weighs? Cheers.
flat bed are the best if you pulkl a 5th wheel trailer if you have the bed made for you ask to have the corner in the back so you can make u turns better so the bed dont hit the trailer
very nice, wish I had a pick up and make a same one like yours
Get cracking on one!!
Looks like a great design and build. You should have included a rub rail is my only criticism.
Awesome work.. I’m guessing you’ll add some tie-down points to the deck?
100 percent will
Add some in the future!
Sick
Hey mate, nice build. Where did you get the mud guards from? Currently building something similar.
Cheers
Top video man, what songs did you use towards the second half of the video? Cheers !
Nice work. We call it a flatbed.
quedo chingon, voy a hacer uno muy parecido para mi LC79, espero me quede chingon, soy nuevo en la soldadura. cheers / I'm cool, I'm going to make a very similar one for my LC79, I hope it stays cool, I'm new to welding SALUDOS from baja california mexico
siq video mate
How heavy do you estimate the tray to be?
a streight floor is the key
Top 👏
Nice
It looks great, but what is it for if there are no tie downs or side rails to hold the cargo on? lol
Did you use raptor liner for the tray aswel?
How do you secure anything to the back? I don't see any tie down points.
What was the adhesive you used to put the flat panels down?
Very gooddd from Thailand
Thanks mate!
So if you get rear ended the tray goes through your back?
Hey guys, just got a question... planning to do a good truck with a custom deck... will that help me carry more weight at te back?
Nice.
Thank you!
This is fucking unreal! Build me one 🤙🔥
Is the cut down on the French cut the width of the side rail so 75mm?
i love watching that i cant afford
wish i could do this
Welding & cutting over the fuel tank , no covering, safety third/boom! Not a good idea! " YIPES" I AM OUT OF HERE! GOOD JOB ALL IN ALL. THANKS FOR THE SHOW!
Looks like you forgot the anchor points for cargo straps.
Did you guys lift this on by hand? Got a similar tray and need to remove. Wondering if it's doable by hand.
What's the colour code for the grey? Looks mint
Can you please tell me what you’re using for the base ? Is that alloy or stainless steel. And how have you secured it?? Thanks tray looks awesome
Where are you going to strap chains or ratchet straps to when you actually need to haul something?
Fuckin mint job mate 👌🏼👏🏼
Esta Genial¡¡¡¡ unas ruedas mas grandes siiiiiiiiiii¡¡¡¡
Got to get a built not bought sticker on the tray.
Cool Hideki Inspiring Good = 3
What welder did you use?
The WarRig
Hi, what's the thickness of those metals? Tnx
Is that just for the look or functional?
めちゃくちゃカッコいい🆒
What are the tail lights mate?
What thickness of metal did you use ...?
ok 👍👍🖐
How much did the tray cost all up
these trucks are so big and a shot wheel base is so hard to get on a late 80s truck. these trucks are so wide with the lwb theyre so huge- what a bullit proof truck, the mazda gear bok and dyna 4x4- how good is sikaflex-
What black paint do you use ?
What’s your dimensions on you steel box sections 40x40?
👏🏻👏🏻
Tidy build mate, nice work!
Was that a "sika" product to hold the sheets down? And did you use a specific primer before it?
We are doing a steel tray and saw your use of an adhesive. Love the idea if it works.
Thank you! It’s called sikaflex pro!
how much for the patrol bruz
Top...👍👍👍👏👏👏👏
Legend!!

That’s my dream truck wanna sell it
do you know any who has dumped a barra/dingo 6 in one of these. i got one with a crossflow aussie 6- aussie sixes are heaps better than canadian 8s- i love the way my 302 works in the fairy but aussie sixs shit all over north american 8s
Don't suppose you wanna share your cutting list? More interested in the box size you used than anything. Cheers
How much did all that steel cost you?
Keeping it clean will be a task. Black shows every bit of crap that's thrown at it.
