  • @caesarashom1866
    @caesarashom1866 Před měsícem +4

    I quite sports professionally because
    1. I was sponsoring myself and trying to keep up with my personal demands with zero motivation and encouragement.
    2. No level playing field at home as there was no drug test for local competitions, no right weight matching, no proper equipments like fighting gloves, etc.
    3. Internal corruption as even our leaders are broke and preying on every penny we the athletes are giving.
    4. Rotten corrupted internal system with terrible spoiled or no equipment and free drug market.
    So, why should I be taken such needless risk in boxing with no future?
    We would never get it right with this kind of diminishing growth mentality.
    Inter house, inter schools, and inter state competition are completely death or in epileptic surviving state totally rigged.
    See, this way we're going, more zero's to come.

  • @motowndrive
    @motowndrive Před měsícem +2

    You cannot separate the widespread institutionalized corruption in government from the poor performance in sports. Yes, politics plays a role in it. Poor governance has harmful effects on all aspects of the country's activities. Good athletes don't appear out of thin air. You have to search for and train them before you can reap the rewards. While quality is more important than quantity, Nigeria, being the largest black nation on earth, should be able to compete with the US in track and field events even better than Jamaica. It's truly disheartening to see how far Nigeria has fallen behind in almost every measure of development.

  • @IAmTruth-xj4es
    @IAmTruth-xj4es Před měsícem +2

    She’s well spoken. She’s right, it’s the little things that make a difference. Team Nigeria has great athletes, I hope in the future they get the support they need.

      @@Godinfinite_12 LIES! Super Falcon play all qualifiers against Cameroon, South Africa, etc. Where you living in the moon? The South African team is among the best in Africa, They are African Champion. Super Falcons played two games against them before the Oympics. Our problem is that some tribes colonized the sport as a means for them to compete among themselves the same way they are fighting themselves for presidency in Abuja. If Naija can BAN the 3 biggest tribes from sport in naija, the country will do better than it is doing right now. So you better shut up.

      @@ck-sl3kt I wasn't referring to Olympics qualifiers i said "International friendlies".
      For instance ghana who didn't qualify for Olympics played friendly match with Japan.
      By oct or Nov south Africa has already fixed friendly match against England.
      But there is so News whatsoever for any friendly match to be played by the super falcons, most times it's when they are very close to playing a competition they will now begin to fix one match or another which isn't good.
      They have to make the most of the international breaks to play quality matches.

    Some of the coaches are clueless as well. For instance, Tiwa godbless shouldn’t have been on the 4x100 relay team. She’s not that fast. I said godbless should never anchor for Nigeria, even though I am not a coach, I could see it. Did you guys see the way sprinters ran past her? It’s like she is running in place.
