When you say millions tell us your net profit as a farmer most talk about revenue, however you can make millions in revenue but as soon as you add the high costs your net profit would def not be in the millions nor thousands.

I watch your videos religiously but I missed on this one. First what an amazing venture, for one to be successful in life you need multiple streams of income and you are doing that. Second what is the cost of an acre of land in makutano Mwea area in general because I know the cost depends of how close the land is to a tarmacked road or a road in general?

Last year we sold 1/4 at 1.2m located at 500m from the highway, 2km from makutano town. Right now the value has gone higher due to the dualing of thika nyeri highway.

I Ty to find as many videos of papaya farming as I can.
I get ideas from most of them
I am European, staying in Kenya on and off with my Kenyan husband in coast.
We planted 50 seedlings, I think it was, in April this year.
Our challenge is ..... only water from rain and the near-by river. And we are very close to wildlife.
However, all plants have survived and we are close to harvesting.
I don't know anything about farming papayas so it is like an experiment to me.
I was back in Europe some months back when m husband told me that the trees were dropping flowers and now he was off to buy pesticides.
I stopped him, googled "loss of flowers" and it turned out that the problem was lack of nitrogen. Not pest.
I have learned that pesticides is not always the solution and sometimes their are safer and healthier ways than pesticides to cope with whatever problems. I use CZcams a lot to look for alternatives to pesticides for anything.
Where I come from we have strict regulations for the use of pesticides. Remember that we are supposed to eat what we produce 😉
