geez! nice touch of scaqt - i love singers who smoke. - sarah vaughan, frank sinatra - i think there is a unique timbre to their voices. i like this woman. she has a certain air to her - it reminds me a bit of brigitte fassbaender - some indefineable androgynous quality and a joie de vivre and - if anyone can combine sardonic ironic and affectionate - pia did. love you darling. keep singing wherever you are.
Ah yes....the old lounge piano bar. Where everybody could sit around the piano player to smoke their brains out and blow the smoke across the piano into everyone's face. Ah yes....those good old days!
Yeah, seems that many of the people who clap along to a soon are off-the-beat. Maybe they'd do better if they'd just get up and dance if they are really feeling the beat...ha!
Yeah, pretty lame. I went to a Keith Jarrett concert and he simply stopped playing when people started to clap to the beat poorly. He said "People came to hear me, not you. Get some rythmn for god's sake!"

Ze maakte rondvaartboot jazz voor oudjes van stichting Zonnebloem.. Is ook een markt...maar niet de mijne laat ik het daar bij houden.
Pia Heeft nog nooit voor de zonnebloem voor de oudjes gepeeld op een rondvaartboot!!! Waar niks mis mee is. Diana Krall is geen autodidact en zeker een goede pianisten.Naar kan nog leren van pia haar pianospel!!! en het improviseren waar Pia zo goed in was.Pia was en is uniek!!!
Gino Michael Felleman Nee was ook erg beledigend bedoeld.. Maareven serieus.. Ik neem aan dat Pia destijds goed geluisterd heeft naar Ella, Sarah, etc.. en dan naar zichzelf luistert.. Dan moet ze toch gemerkt hebben dat ze spruitjeslucht engels spreekt? Overigens.. Rita was iets beter, maar zij had ook weer diezelfde harde Nederlandse tongval erdoorheen..

I think Pia is a much better jazz singer than Rita Reys but why she sings Dutch in between???
