- After 3 years of work from over 73+ animators, it's finally here!
A MAP is a project where animators get together under a host, who collects their parts via email or other methods while following a predetermined script or idea.
This is Wings of Fire is a multi-animator-project focusing and honoring most of the important characters in Wings of Fire, a book series by Tui T. Sutherland. It's supposed to come off as like a final compilation of each character as if it's the end of a movie.
This project was made entirely by individuals who dedicated time to create a section for each character!
To the participants, thank you for your artistry, your passion, and patience for this project. To fellow fans of the series, thank you for reading Wings of Fire, and thank you for waiting for these Sticks and Stones.

Wow, this MAP nearly brings tears to my eyes. It shows everything WoF special. Not just the characters and the world, but the talented creators who help make it a reality on our screens. If it wasn't for the animation community, I would have never picked up one of these fantastic and magical books. I have you guys to thank! Wings of Fire is truly incredible, and so is this project. I could not be more proud of everyone involved. Bravo!

Isn't it crazy how a single series can move so many people? What started as a few books about a dragon world turned into a huge fandom with art, MAPs, animations, AUs, wikis, and so much more. I've loved every freaking minute in it, and will continue to be apart of it. Fly high, WoF!
I’m tearing up- I’ve been in this fandom for quite a few years now and I was able to watch this amazing project take shape, and it’s so crazy how much I’ve grown since the original map call was released- seeing this was extremely nostalgic for me. And each participant did such an incredible job- WOW. Thanks for putting this all together, Bella!

AAAAAAAA The HTTYD credits and drawings are amazing. HTTYD was the first dragon related thing in my life that I loved and seeing the credits made my heart soar. I loved the whole thing, it must have taken quite a while and I thank everyone who participated! Thank you so much!!! One day, I hope to become an animator and join all you wonderful people! This MAP and Kinkajou's Scrapbook by Pyralis are the two best WOF maps IMO
It’s been 3 years of pure effort and it was worth the wait, and this will go down in history, it’s a stunning map. The music is so nostalgic and hopeful, 3 years passed and there will be more to come. This community is awesome, and I’m honored to be a part of it, and I am blown away by every animator, for they have talent beyond my comprehension. Thank you animators, thank you Bella, thank you, this community.

This is possibly the best MAP out there!! all the animators did so good! this MAP makes me cry every time not only because of the HTTYD soundtrack, but because there's so many emotional moments in here from the books. Seeing Freedom and whiteout in there just made it even more perfect because I feel those are 2 characters that don't get a lot of attention in the fandom, and I love seeing it! this MAP is absolutely amazing!
this map gave me absolute chills and it’s just amazing to finally have this map with us to have memories. Each and every person that contributed to this map are so talented, and seeing this finished gave me such a smile. Just can’t wait to see this map years later, realizing that wings of fire was my childhood. I know I may be overreacting but seriously.

I can’t believe that I can name every character in this map, I was out of the Wings of Fire fandom for a while and this just filled me with pure nostalgie. Everyone did an amazing job, then the HTTYD themed credits came and I got even more nostalgic, HTTYD was my favorite movie since childhood and started my whole dragon love and I discovered Wings of Fire because of it.
I just can’t put into words how awesome this map is, it’s literal eye candy and you can see how much love and effort went into each part.
I bet I will draw some dragons after I finish this, a million thanks to every animator for making an amazing job and Bella for hosting this.

I'm crying, I've finally seen it. The map I've been so excited for, for what feels like forever. This is more than I could have ever hoped for. This reminds me of what it was like when I first read Wings if Fire so many years ago. This map brought me back to that moment, it took me through all the years I've loved this series. I love discovering new parts of the fandom. I love seeing other people's passion for this series rival my own. I am honored to be a part of this community, thank you all for all the wonderful memories you've given and brought back to me.

I love how the main characters go in order of the books. Clay, Tsunami, Glory, Starflight, and Sunny, then Moon, Winter, Peril, Turtle, and Quibli, and so on. It’s a super neat detail!

And 2:59, WOW, this one expands on the rain wing designs,and I love that the frills look like flowers,at least to me. The way that the artist draws rainwings is just…amazing.
this MAP is so much more than just a collaboration between nearly a hundred extremely talented artists. dare i say it's a legitimate triumph for the community. it's inspiring and incredible to see such a glorius, richy animated, lively, fluid, and overall just stunning peice of art come to life. I've been waiting for this to come out since the minute i got the notification the call was posted and i to say i'm amazed would be a horrific understatement. I'm truly proud to say this is a community i'm in not just because of this map but also because of the other awe-inspiring works akin to it. I have loved this since the day it came out. It’s something I can cherish forever. My friends ask me, “ Why do you love it so much? It’s just a bunch of drawings.” They don’t understand how much it means to me, how much it means to the entire Wings of Fire fandom.
Wings of Fire will forever hold a special place in my heart, the first books I had completed the entire series of like that. They’re mystical, go and poke and things to not be poked at, and other things. I absolutely adore these books, and for you, the reader, who probably completed the video, and completed this, thank you. Thank you for me wasting your time on this.
As someone who grew up on HTTYD and now also WoF the use of the songs and kind of just everything made me cry a bit because this brings back so many good memories. Thank you so much to all the wonderful animators who made and designed this, you just made my lifetime.

And also can we take a moment to appreciate the lil doodles at the end? Over the past 3 years, I grew up seeing these little clips, not knowing they were from a bellasaurus map. 3 years ago, I started reading Wings of Fire. Many animations, maps, dragons, scavengers, were what I either watched or saw. This map will forever have a place in my heart, reminding me of the beloved community and books of Wings of Fire.

I….I never knew this day would come! Some of these pieces I’ve seen in tributes….I’ve been following this progress for a while now! This song is so nostalgic (because of Httyd), and with WoF it makes it even more nostalgic….I’m gonna cry, I don’t even know why 😭😭 it’s so beautiful, and I can’t believe it’s finally out. Just, wow. I remember joining the server for this MAP about 2 or so years ago, and I made my first thumbnail entry for this. Of course, it didn’t age well, so I made a remake, and finally made my final remake this year. Which is here, by the way - 6:49
I remember seeing the progress for all of the parts, and it was like magic. I’ll never forget this wonderful project, and I think it shall go down in WOF history as one of the greats.

Wow! Simply astounding. While watching, I couldn’t help but keep smiling. It’s amazing, well animated, and tells a true story. This series brings everything to life. This will simply make history.
In full seriousness this made me cry.
The effort l the aninators put into their parts are phenomenal. I've been waiting for this map to come out for a while and I was way too excited when i saw it was out.
It was worth the 3 year wait for this incredible map. It will for sure go down in history as one of the best maps.
Wow. As someone who is new to the Wings of Fire side of the animation community, I hadn't known this project had existed, but now that I do, I'm glad that I sat down and took the opportunity to watch it. It was a great surprise after waking up this morning.
3 years, this project took. That's three years of content creators, animators, and artists putting their full effort into creating one project. The detail of each part is mind-blowing, the movement is incredible, and the contrast of everyone's style is absolutely amazing.
I wouldn't ask for this project to have been released sooner, even if it was a possibility. The wait was worth it, and I wouldn't change a thing.
It's fantastic, this series has already been out for 11 years, and its readers and fans continue to keep its community going, thanks, everyone.

I don't usually comment on things, I'm a slight internet recluse, but I used to be incredibly invested in Wings of Fire. My sights have shifted but I still hold it dear in my heart. This MAP is gorgeous and it made me feel all the feels. It was kind of nostalgic in a way and I love that! Everything looked amazing and I congratulate all of the animators because they all did such a wonderful job! Thank you all for making this possible! :)

I remember watching the map call for this and was wondering what a map was. Then you opened up my eyes to a whole worlds of multiple animation projects. Everyone did fantastic, and you can tell the amount of work and love that went into this map never ends. Thank you so much to everyone who took a part in creating this masterpiece. ❤ (the ending also almost made me cry because of the beautiful illustrations paired with the music. That movie series means so much to me and seeing a fandom I spend my time regularly in use their art style makes me feel so happy.) (edit: scratch that, I’m crying.)

this is one of my favourite animations ever. the movement and colours are lively and expressive, and it tells a whole story in just over 4 minutes, which is incredible. as someone who is in both the wof and httyd fandoms, It was just beautiful to see this music and this story put together.

as a huge fan of HTTYD and a huge fan of WOF this is amazing.
the dedication to this! I love all the creative characters and the og characters from the book. My fav part has to be 1:05.This brings me back so many memory’s from when i first started to read the series, the cover is very wholesome and I cried during this. This is true beauty with all the smooth animation. I love how they also added scavengers/humans into the animation. So creative!
If I hadn't already been reading WoF for half my life, this would be the thing to convince me to start. **Applause**
