We took last october the airtrain and then choosed Long Island Railroad instead of NY subway due to fewer stops and lesser time spend on the train, but I already took the subway and changed line to arrive in Brooklin.
i went from jfk to penn station in about 40 minutes for less than 15 bucks. air train from jfk to jamaca queens long island railroad ticket to penn station. thats it

Hi you can now use contactless in other words your debit or credit card to get through, alternatively you would need to purchase and put credit on a metro card at the machines before going thru

9:18-Jamaica-Van Wyck station looks pretty good and reminds me of three subway stations in Line 1 here in Toronto with the same red brick design.

you can also buy the exit card skytrain from a shop on the left

Hi yes some stations have “accessbile” lifts, this will be the main stops like for eg 42nd st
You will hear when approaching say "this is an accessible station"

Yes got a ticket for the airtrain and then for the weekly pass just used apple watch, you can now use apple watch for airtrain so need to get tickets

taxi from Airports are fixed rate so you are looking about $80 tops
