Neumann VMS-70 Disc Cutting Lathe Pitch and Depth System Overview w/ Clint Holley

Well Made Music's Clint Holley discusses the intricacies of the Neumann VMS-70 pitch and depth groove-spacing computer. This analog computer uses a combination of fed audio signals to determine the ideal spacing of grooves on a single lacquer side. This allows the lacquer cutting engineer to generally fit longer and louder music onto the surface of any given side they cut.
