@@Gamers6325 he hasn't died in the reboot yet. he almost *definitely* will die, either in the next part of mwii or in the third game's reboot (most likely in the third game), but the reboot version of the character has survived the part of the story that the og version of the character died at

I have a theory for why Ghost sounds different in-universe. The Ghost in MW2019 has only recently gotten out of capture, which means his PTSD is fresher. The way he says everything in a really aggressive way is a way for him to cope with it. He sounds calmer in MW2 because it has been years since his capture, therefore easier for him to cope with the PTSD, allowing him to be calmer.
I agree! Jeff has that exact same approach to the character in fact... He's eager to explore this aspect of Ghost further, as well as the Ghost that we all know from the original trilogy in future MW titles.

What? Nah, man. MW 2019 is a soft reboot. Infinity Ward said it themselves. They’re reusing some characters and plot points, but there is no connection to the original trilogy.
That’s why Gaz is black in the new MW, unlike in CoD4-MW3. And why the events of the original three games do not necessary occur in this new universe.
People need to treat MW 2019 as an *almost* new series. It’s an alternate universe, essentially.

Honestly, it was and still is so fun and is a beautiful world. I’ve wanted to see a Ghosts sequel, but I think my dreams were finally crushed when IW: Zombies Beast From Beyond floppped. That was the last breath of COD: Ghosts
