Very intelligent man, funny and a brilliant actor. He died when I was 5 years old, just a few months after I'd seen The Incredible Hulk Returns, I was hooked, and still am at 33 years of age. Rest in peace Mr Bixby, 1934-1993.

Suprised he was able to go on after he lost his son but his wife couldn't and killed herself.
Bill Bixby had suffered some real personal tragedies in his life.
      1) Painful Divorce

His young son, Christopher, got Epiglottis, suddenly, while at Mammoth Mountain ski resort; with his mother, Brenda Benet.
(Bill & Brenda were either separated or divorced, at that time.)
I think a doctor was to blame, at a hospital, for Christopher's untimely death.

It's nice to see Bill still in good health and being interviewed. I never knew Bill wore glasses. I guess when filming The Hulk, he wore contacts.
I have very fond memories watching the 1970s version of The Hulk.

I read that he was near sighted. He only can see stuff 3 or 4 feet away from him. He could n't see far away. If he was far sighted would have had a lot of trouble seeing. That is how I figured that he didn't have to much trouble while he was working on the tv shows and movies he done.

Times were so different back in the 70's and 80's, and for tv actors as well. I can't get over the fact that he obviously had to do his own stunts. It'd be One thing if he was 20 something and really built or really athletic or a former competitive gymnast,or one of those entertainment wrestlers. Bill Bixby though, was allready 43 when the Hulk TV 📺 show started in 1977, and Bill was only a random meek sort of man, with a slight of build type of body, yet, they couldn't get a stuntman for all those scenes where he gets violently assaulted. So basically, Bill Bixby was forced to do the work of an entertainment wrestling jobber(Letting people beat him up),along with his profoundly talented acting work.
Just astounding when you think about it,but also, very unfortunate and bordering on tragic,at least in my opinion.
