Excellent video for adjusting the display temp on the George Knight Press. However, there was no information on how to use the two temperature sensing tools (the candy thermometer and the pyrometer). Also, Harbor Freight sells an inexpensive Temp Gun. Would this be a good option to test the surface temp of the heat platen? Finally, I would think that the surface temp of the heat platen would be affected by any build up of burned on crust from dust, etc. over time. What do you use to clean your heat platen?

Simple Green is the preferred cleaning method. Always use protective paper. A candy thermometer is probably the best, a temp gun may work.
