I am 63. After Peter Gabriel I thought there would be no reason to listen to music any more. Then I found LG. And I am listening again
OMG... that could have been written by me...!
I knew she was amazing from day one. Proud I was right

👍❤️ Such a great comment, me too
Same here, same age✌🥸 Magical melodic crafting, the real power of music when everything comes together. 🙏
Listening to this holding my 5 month old daughter. I hope she grows up to see the big picture and find joy and happiness 👨👩👧🏴
this woman needs more recognition she's amazing...
The whole band
💯💯
They already have recognition, they are famous, really.
Briljant exact. So Strong.
They have a massive career and lots of recognition. They are global
What an amazing band. She has one of the world‘s most beautiful voices…
London Grammar should compose a film soundtrack. They are such geniuses at building atmosphere and sound design that I believe many of their songs would have similar power even with the lyrics removed. Their emotionally honest, confrontational-yet-not-antagonistic tracks often convey raw pain but rarely imply despair, because there's a sense of a healing and maturation taking place, guided by an angelic voice and ethereal synths that hold you together just when you feel like breaking.
It can imply despair and hope both, depends on the way you choose to see it, Depends on how you want it to be , Mindset! that’s what stoics believed and taught us. I don’t know whether im clear enough or not.
She has such an amazing voice. London Grammer are really different from anything else. Just pure raw talent.
Hannah has one I've the most pure voices ever heard. Still quite convinced she is part angel.
I feel ya. Her voice is special, divine really. From the heart of the soul.
Yeah Buddy, her voice is divine, but.. Angels shit on the toilet too :-)
Talking about pain and scars, here is a quote from Rose Kennedy:
"It has been said, ‘time heals all wounds.’ I do not agree. The wounds remain. In time, the mind, protecting its sanity, covers them with scar tissue and the pain lessens. But it is never gone."
Jan B
Absolutely right, there is what I like to call `blue pain`.. exactly what you have described and at some point.. they can be accommodated and understood. Life is easier then.
Thank you Jan B I love and live this quote. Rose Kennedy would know this very well in her life. 😢😔
Cool as.
Absolutely. Sometimes when I'm lost in thought and revisit those old wounds, I can still feel the pain in them. Although, I have grown to be a much stronger person, it's the lesson in the pain that kept me moving forward and that's how I know they are truly never healed. I have just learned how to live with them and protect them.
She is the most beautiful woman I've ever seen. Her voice is so haunting, yet so emotionally solemn.....I know God exists because he must have sat at the drawing board for weeks creating this one!
This has to be one of the most beautiful songs I have heard in my 47 years.. It brings me to tears every time I hear it
London Grammar is going to save the music industry in 2017. And I'm so here for it.
Pavlina T. irjg😢😢😯

They are outstandingly unique and talented 💙
Ma

You're my mind
Sh, they will ruin it
London grammar, it will be 30 or more years and it may not be possible to reach the level of perfection that this video reached, the music is totally connected to music, perfect work.
I have no words to explain how this song hits me and makes me feel....
it's just perfect... xx
I've missed you guys so much. This album is going to be amazing!
Jack Davies oh my god! I know.
Amazing band xxxx
Love, what did you do to me ?
My only hope is to let life stretch out before me.
Can't break me on this lonely road
I'm made of many things but
I'm not what you are made of
Only now do I see the big picture
But I swear these scars are fine
Only you could have hurt me in this perfect way tonight
I might be blind but you taught me the difference
between mistakes and what you just meant for me
Don't say you ever loved me
Don't say you ever cared
My darkest friend
Words have you forgotten
all the lies you left there so fresh turning old in the air
And now you have no weapons, you can try to get close to those I love
Do you really think they don't know what you are made of
Only now do I see the big picture
But I swear these scars are fine
Only you could have hurt me in this perfect way tonight
I might be blind but you taught me the difference
between mistakes and what you just meant for me
Don't say you ever loved me
Don't say you ever cared
My darkest friend hoohoo
Instrumental
(Don't say you ever)
(Ever loved me)
(Don't say you ever)
(Ever loved me)
(Don't say you ever)
My only hope is to let life stretch out before me
Second (?) seems to be just fine. I don't hear anything different than what you wrote :)
Thank you ! :)
Meghan Chato omg thx I love the song even more now
Thanks !
Music is emotion. With this track London Gammar shows again an intense emotion. It is a serious heartbreaking sound. I have to confess I got a tear in my eye. Thank you London Grammar for this stunning song. You deserve to be played on the radio a lot more often.
Sometimes you get an alchemy of sound, emotion and performance that transcends generations and genre preference. London Grammar are that for me. Keep on shining.
Love, what did you do to me?
My only hope is to let life stretch out before me
And break me on this lonely road
I'm made of many things, but I'm not what you are made of
Only now do I see the big picture
But I swear that these scars are fine
Only you could have hurt me in this perfect way tonight
I might be blind, but you've told me the difference
Between mistakes and what you just meant for me
Don't say you ever loved me
Don't say you ever cared
My darkest friend
Words
Have you forgotten
All the lies you left there, so fresh
Turning old in the air
And now, you have no weapons
You can try to get close to those I love
Do you really think they don't know what you're made of?
Only now do I see the big picture
But I swear that these scars are fine
Only you could have hurt me in this perfect way tonight
I might be blind but you've told me the difference
Between mistakes and what you just meant for me
Don't say you ever loved me
Don't say you ever cared
My darkest friend
Real poetry
Thank you for the words. I appreciate that 👏🏻
This song blew a gaping hole in my heart, opening it up to the enormity of this life, this world....and love. There are songs out there that I've come across that change me forever...
This is one of those songs 💕🙏🏻
Beautiful reply! Here's one.czcams.com/video/mnMA_fWYjR0/video.html Oh--Hannah's deep wisdom is so refreshing. We can't avoid heart break. Unwanted suffering is a daily occurrence. But so is Hope. Greta Thunberg said Hope . . .is Action. Apathy is not activism. Walking through the ashes is! Love . . .beyond hope anddespair . . .Climbing The Third Stair.
YES! Me too! Exactly that! :) ❤
nice
Perfect song to the season ender of The Split 😢❤
Wow, this girl is a freakin' genius. These lyrics. Wow.
They write then together, give credit to the boys too
@@antoniopalladino3162 well said they are overlooked to often they also write the songs that hannah delivers impeccably
@@antoniopalladino3162 I think it varies with each song, some they wirte together, some Hannah...
@@Winter-gf9nt Yes, I think they deserve more attention. I wouldn't say their music is amazing quality but all and all really beautiful.
@@Winter-gf9nt oh
Just beautiful. I wish there was a Hannah Reid/London Grammar cover of every song ever written.
Holy fuck that would be amazing, i swear that womans voice is fucking surreal.
I was thinking she should cover Times Like These by Foo Fighters.
juste beau
Hank Fuddle she should cover letter to elise by The Cure or These are the days of our lives - Queen
Have thought the same. A voice for this, and all time.
Im a guy who listens to thrash, death, metal core, prog, post-rock, hardcore, and all kinds of heavy music you can find at a daily basis... but holy damn do I love London Grammar! Her voice gets to my very core and makes me calm and at ease! This song isn't the exception! Thanks Hannah Reid for having the most beautiful voice on earth!
Its not about the genre. Its about the quality and uniqueness they can deserve. And yes, Hannah's voice is something beyond beautiful... I adore her.
(btw, I also grew up on heavy music)
Guillermo Zamora exactly the metal genres I like as well...but man, this song is so great. you gotta love it.
same here...... i have no clue how they do, but they do it right. respekt, peace and love!!
I like Metallica, system, slipknot, sykth, etc. and these guys... They are mesmerising - so pure and organic!
Guillermo Zamora dude the same here love death slash grind core black metal
But oh my London grammar cuts deep into my very soul
Hanna Reid is not only insainley beautiful but her voice man runs deep into my blood
This is such a beautiful song it brings tears (of pure blissful happiness) to my eyes everytime I hear it! Absolutely wonderful!!!
Just dying cuz their making music again!!!!! Everything they do is ethereal!
I've seen a flyer the other day... for a movie casting 'bout Zombies...
D'ya want the fun numba ?
Fell in love with their first album. My anticipation for new songs is unreal!
K cool can u wait til after the rest of their album or ep is released? :)
Can you learn some London grammar first....lmfao.
You have won the internet sir.
I've been dreaming about Jon Hopkins producing London Grammar's sound. Now it's reality. Thanks so much
guys, this is a wonderful little trip.
Very U2 ish, I'm 66 and really love London grammar I have just bought Californian soil, brilliant album.
Most underrated song by London Grammar. Hope everyone is safe and staying home.
I love the refreshing simplicity about London Grammar. It's just good music.
WOW! Are we earlie or what?! My love for them just reignited😍😘Hannah💓
She is mine, back up!!
Lucho Pinelo well she probably has a boyfriend so ease up bro!🙇
Lier. Lier. Lier.
I’m here because of “The Split” What a phenomenal programme. With phenomenal messages. This one being my favourite:
“The myriad of tiny moments that make up a life. Take care of them. Hold them gently in your hands. Remind yourself that nothing is promised. That this little life of ours is less about what we’ve earned & gathered and more who we’ve loved and who we leave behind” 💓💓💓💓💓💓💓💓💓💓💓💓
Came here the same way and love that quote too.
Spoiler alert for me since not far enough through the series yet (only on Series 1, Episode 2) but inspired me to keep watching!
Funny thing is I find the music very uplifting but the lyrics seem to be about a feeling of bitterness following a relationship upset. Maybe it's the John Hopkins production or the influence of different band members, tho I like the "My darkest friend" which suggests to me some cognitive resolution following the initial upset feelings so maybe it's about acknowledging that there is pain but also learning and things will be ok in the end.
Anyway just listened to this at least 5 times on repeat :-)
If heaven has music London Grammar must be the house band!
I am In love with every song... Her voice is an angelic hug that makes me feel warm. Thank you for existing beautiful people. ♥
Between heaven and earth, there sounds a nightingale's envy. Lifting souls into free fall, longing for love.
tout y est: la justesse d'hannah,la maturité dans sa voix ,le dosage rytmique , l'art des silences metrisés ,la touche LONDON GRAMMAR !!magnifique
Only just learnt about London Grammer through my daughter, I love listening to them she has the most beautiful voice, I can't believe I've never heard of them before.
One of my favorite songs of all time. When this came out it carried me through my life for like a month.
It's just an example of beautiful music with outstanding lyrics. Thanks from the troubled Russia. With 💕
somehow they can manage to keep making music that is so hauntingly beautiful and still keep it interesting. Her vocals give me chillllls
LG are "messengers," of Love! Beautiful!!!
It’s during the outro with Hannah’s haunting ‘don’t say you ever…’ that gets me
Each and every one of their songs impacts my life one way or another. All time favorite band.
And everytime!
biclexual yea! Close your eyes and let it take you away. sounds like the northern light to me...aurora ;)
biclexual have you heard Cristina and the queens
biclexual exactly!
true words, love those lyrics, sound, thank God that we have such wonderful music that heal.
The best in music industry right now. Period.
This song reminds me of angels and airwaves, such a beautiful band and one of a kind!
👌😍👌
Just listened to this tune on A State Of Trance Episode 812 for the first time.
I listen to ASOT while working away and not ashamed in the slightest to say that this tune brought me to a physical standstill, literally and figuratively.
Had to take a good 20 minutes to listen on repeat and have a good old cry.
Good tears (I think), it's amazing how a tune can 'touch my soul'.....
This pain in my throat is very real...!
Thank you! It's beautiful on so many levels in so many ways.
Fucking love Trance music......
Forever in love with you, London Grammar!!!!!!! You are such a wonderfull band!!! I adore you!! Greetings from Athens, Greece!!
First Beyonce announces she's having twins and now this! THIS DAY JUST KEEPS GETTING BETTER HONESTLY
Kaila :/ wtf with that beyonce shit ?? Who cares ??
+Marco Martínez Its one of the things (along with this video) that made my day better zeesh😕
wtf is beyonce shit !! delate your account stupid
I think celebrating new life and art are perfectly justifiable reasons to make your day brighter ^^ Also the names should totally be Bey-Z and Jayonce...
Kaila :/ no one cares about Beyoncé
What a hauntingly beautiful voice attached to such pure beauty of female. Wow.
Massive Respect; We love you; London Grammar; you got soul, you got humility; we all need more of that. Lets support that
so beautiful, the lyrics, the instrumental part, and this voice, wow, giving me goosebumps, as usual ✨
Not ashamed to say that as a general metal head I have a huge soft spot for this band. Puts me in a good mood and gets me thinking about life. Love it
Same here to
Hannah Reid's vocal dexterity is ethereal magnificence !!
👌😍👌
This group are amazing and have enormous talent. The vocals are just so beautiful and the music is so well mixed that they complement each other brilliantly.

Amor, ¿qué me hiciste?
Y ahora, tú no tienes armas
No digas nunca
Me duele por ti
Me duele por ti
No digas nunca
ooooh
No digas nunca
am I the only one who has tears in his eyes?
they are so amazing!!!
ixion567 You're not alone , it struck a lacrimal nerve
No, you were not alone. Amazing emotional heartbreaking sound. I had a tear in my eye too. :-(
ixion567 definitely not alone. Pure magic this song.
You not alone... She is Goddess...
No !!
Having grown up with the 60's and 70's, well 80's and 90's too, it is such a blessing there is still lovely music out there.
2020 ...still love London Grammar
You may sometimes think that this modern world is total shit... But then you hear songs like this one, and you realize that it's really not all that bad, but actually it can also be really beautiful too!... The powerfully culminating energy of the part from 2:32 is just amazingly uplifting!
Was für ein Toller Song! Diese Angels Stimme! Zum dahin schmelzen!! ❤️❤️🎸😇🎶❤️
Such a beautiful song with beautiful lyrics that reflect so much of what I've been through recently.
Well done London Grammar, and here's to a prosperous music career.
Now that's what i call music.🎶🎶
In awe of this London Grammar piece - in particular the stunning vocal dexterity of the amazing Hannah Reid - great work guys x
Her voice is hauntingly beautiful.
Hannah Reid,Mind blowing vocals. This girl is one of the best female Vocalist EVER,INCREDIBLE.
When I first listened to this song, I thought I saw the big picture, how wrong I was. since the start of the pandemic, I see the world in a very different light a very dark light. never did I imagine the scale of people's greed and the suffering inflicted on the less fortunate be kind to one and other people, kindness will always trump greed in the end
this video is a work of art

This song is magical.
One of the best female voices ever and the song and video is a masterpiece....wonderful.x
Why does the chorus chill me to the spine and bring tears to my eyes?
That's an Intense visuals
Very.
haha watch what pink floyd can do with visuals
If only more people are patient to watch/listen through the video and can feel music, then this video and beautifully made song wouldn't have been so underrated
Only discovered this song today and it is beyond magnificent 😢
Welcome to the club! Hehe...what a beautiful find, isn't it. ✨🎶
her voice is deeper than albert camus
Young Buffoon haha I just finished reading the stranger and somehow ended up here. Odd.
Kept goal well.
Crying out like a child...
Thanks once again London Grammar...
Wow...it's like having an angel sing to me.
Her look , her voice , her presence...
wow...just...wow
So true John. So many great artists from our past winwood, clapton, chapman. The english theme.
Pure angelic the voice of Hannah!
Fuuuuucking PERFECT!!
Hannah you are the best 😍❤
As amazing as this CZcams video and song is, you haven't even really TRULY heard this song OR this group until you buy a few of their albums on CD, or at the very least a TRUE High Definition/High-Res stream or download, AND then play that on/through a high-end stereo AND speakers OR true High-Resolution, high-end headphones! WHEN/IF you ever do that it is pure bliss! Her voice is like honey slowly dripping into sonic existence somehow. It's simply indescribable.
her voice has so much soul. reeeeally beautiful.
they will never disappoint you with a bad song. I am sure about that. Amazing song btw.
This is mature beyond their years. Wonderful music.
One of the best videos I've seen....and isn't Hannah just a stunning example of a human being...
They're possibly my luckiest find because unless I'd typed in "Bands Like Daughter" I'd never have discovered them. Heather's voice is timeless, she could sing anything and make it her own.
Hannah's voice.
I LOVE LONDON GRAMMAR. They always impress me with the fresh music and pristine music videos 😍❤️🙌🏽
Only London Grammar can literally have me between Shoegaze and Tears for every song they release, I thank you guys for releasing these fantastic songs youre really helping me through a tough time :)
For me is more than a wonderful voice and artist, she sing from her spirit and touch me beyond my emotions
Few artists these days bring me to tears...but LG, man LG...
How is that even possible that I've never heard about them before? This world is a strange palce.
This videoclip is a masterpiece
Yep, agreed
👌😍👌
The song keeps playing in my ears the entire time, such is the power of her voice and composition. Spellbound.
Arguably London Grammar’s best song
