    That's awesome! You hardly have to shift! I've seen videos of ap2 at this track and they are constantly shifting.
    Btw that drone is awesome! Super stable and the camera quality is great!

      @ZentRose  Před 8 lety

      +Sean Neal Yeah going back to an AP1 is surprisingly relaxing on the track. You have to do a lot more work to keep an AP2 in the power band. Thanks!

    Great drone shots man. Looked like you legitimately enjoyed the Nankangs. And the AP1 seemed very stable for being stock too. Had fun watching this one!

      +Tuğrul Berk UySal Thanks! Yeah the AP1 was surprisingly easy to drive in stock form. I should have left it stock before lol

      +ZentRose Yeah man S2K has been my dream car since 2005 - I was 12 years old. It doesn't need much to enjoy it like you said. If can be done, more rigid body wouldn't hurt, I would add some good brakes, even a great set of pads would suffice I think, you already have a great tire/wheel setup, and maybe some light mods like a conservative exhaust, intake, and tune. That's it! I love watching your videos dude, I learn great things. Keep it up!

    Nice driving! thinking about buying these tires too.
    I noticed you let your left hand slide freely when turning in many right hand corners. Are you aware of this? Looks like a bad habit haha

    Excellent review. It would be great to hear more about your thoughts on the stock in AP1 suspension, vs. AP2 suspension, CR suspension, vs. Ohlins. Areas such as: streeet driveability, track performance, and as well as how one needs to drive differently with each suspension setup to be save, and get the most out of the car. I do not think the Ap1 suspension has been given as much study on "how to drive" on track by enthusiasts, as many simply change it very early during ownership. Thanks again for the great s2000 videos.

    • @ZentRose
      @ZentRose  Před 8 lety +2

      +sungod1976 Honestly the AP1 drove incredibly well with a nice balance… it was very impressive. The CR is the most fun on track but almost a little too stiff for street. The stock 2006 AP2 is decent too but lots of body roll. The Ohlins feels like it's another league entirely haha.

    The good feedback is what im looking for. How would you consider these for street driving? Beter than UHP tires? And how well do they warm up on the street? Are they good from the go or you need to push them in order to warm up and grip? Im looking at thw 180 tw. Thanks

    What was the temp on the day you tested it? Race tires are typically very temp sensitive, on a cold day, you could see your time get significantly longer...

    I liked them too. Very understanble tire and grip like rs-3 or +0,5 sec if 180 treadwear
    but on ba roads u feel every seam and even road marking - makes very angry of local authorities who cant repair roads
    i have some onboards on my channel with them btw

      +CJsStocker They are great just expensive. No issues. They seem to squeal at unexpected times. While they aren't "freight train" loud, they still seem to make pedestrians upset.

    • @ZentRose
      @ZentRose  Před 8 lety +1

      +Scott Merrihew Its hard to say without actually trying them in that size. I'd imagine they'd be pretty good. The AP2 tire size seems to add a lot of stability to the AP1 though.

    • @RolanTHUNDER
      @RolanTHUNDER Před 7 lety

      True. I am currently running my AP2 version 1 set on my AP1. It is more stable however, my tires need a size upgrade. Looking at going 235/45/17 F and 255/40/17 R. Bridgestone or Yokohama preferably.

    Looks like the Federal RS-R offers much better performance at about the same price.

    • @ZentRose
      @ZentRose  Před 8 lety +1

      +Alex Zhao I have run the federals. The tread split, the sidewalls were soft, & they got greasy mid session. It is a good street tire though.

    • @alexisthemovie
      @alexisthemovie Před 8 lety

      Hmm, I've gone through about 10 sets of RS-R's without splitting the tread. I do agree the sidewalls could be stiffer and they do get greasy if you put too much heat into them. I have friends running 1:58 in stock power S2000's. They're off RS3 pace by 1.5 seconds at most on BW13 and I will continue to run them because I think they provide great value. Achilles 123S is fast for the money also.

    • @ZentRose
      @ZentRose  Před 8 lety

      +Alex Zhao Yes the feds are still a quick tire. 1:58 sounds right for a well set up S. I have not had a chance to try the achilles yet. Where did you find them?

    • @alexisthemovie
      @alexisthemovie Před 8 lety

      +ZentRose I got them from a Formula D driver (customer of mine) back when they weren't retailing them. Right now you can get them from Evasive Motorsports or Apex Tire. If you have time, come out and drive the Vtec Club series with us.

    • @ZentRose
      @ZentRose  Před 8 lety

      +Alex Zhao Very cool! I just go to open test days now since no one shows up. Is there a stock class in the vtec series?
