Thank you a lot! 🙂 I'm an INFJ and I really appreciate how effective Te people are, very organized, reliable and responsible. They don't step back from hard work or wait for other's to do the necessary jobs no one likes. And they've got so amazingly much energy to get things done!
I don't like the flip side, though. Underdeveloped Fi is no fun. When they don't learn to use their Copilot well, they'll act upon the unconscious needs of their 3-year-old without reflecting upon that. When that happens, they put everyone around to an agenda they declare to be "right" and the best for everyone - but unconsciously just serves their personal Fi's immature ideals. They might see getting famous, rich or powerful as the endgame instead of a tool to create something that serves the community. And they'll walk all over the people of this community to get there.
So they can be both: Reliable, loyal and effective leaders who are "all in" to serve the world, cause they are in contact with their wonderful vulnerable and compassionate heart beyond all that steel. Or shortsighted tyrants with narcissistic tendencies, disconnected from themselves and all humankind.

I’m an INFJ female married to an ESTJ male. The thing that drives me crazy about him is that he is SO demanding on others but does not hold himself to the same standards. He will literally scream at one of the kids for doing XYZ, and then I catch him doing XYZ himself. If I bring it to his attention, he immediately shuts the conversation down or he blows it off as if the two XYZ events happened under completely different circumstances, making his actions correct and the kids wrong. What I am trying to figure out is whether this is part of the ESTJ’s innate need for admiration, if it’s immaturity (which would be bothersome because my husband is 20 years older than me), or if it is more likely a personal character flaw. And whatever the cause, I am also in need of a good way for me to work around it, address it, or see it differently so it doesn’t upset me so much. Really appreciate all your insights.

I suspect that it is a flaw that many ESTJs possess. Part of it stems from a lack of empathy and introspection.
The ESTJ mind is built for domination, so being overly concerned about the consequences of their actions would be a serious impediment to what comes naturally to them.

Being an ENTJ myself, I really like this world "amelioration", but I prefer "improvement". I'm always thinking how to improve things (including myself). ;-)

Come on. You guys know that the lack of conveniences in developing countries is not for want of Te. They simply do not have the resource base to deploy advanced Te systems.
