So cute! I have been training Artemis to wear the harness but she is very scared of the outside world, so taking it slowly.

Very cute! I started the harness/leash training with my 2 ragdolls (7 months old) a month ago as well! It gets better and better each time!

I also go on leash walks with my ragdoll Neve. I trained him when he had just moved in with us. He was about 10 weeks at the time. Putting on the harness isn’t his favorite, but he enjoys being outside. I will never let him out alone. I’m afraid that something will happen to him or that he will be taken. I also have a cat friendly backpack for him and he loves that too. He then comes out of the bag with his paws and then hangs as if he is sitting at a bar to order a drink haha 😂 I also have a bicycle with a crate in which he can be safely secured. Cycling is new to him, but he enjoys it more everytime. 😸 Have a nice day! Greetings from the Netherlands 🇳🇱

It’s lovely to see you guys again and Blueby looked as if he was really enjoying his outing on the lead, so many interesting things to look at and sniff. It’s great for him because he can enjoy the outdoors and you can feel assured that he won’t get into any trouble or be snatched, a ideal compromise. We have two cats a tabby and a half Maine coon, both girls and we did worry at first especially with Lily as she looks like a full Maine coon just smaller but they both tend to stay around the garden area and neither of them will go near anyone they don’t know, also they are always inside at night.😻💜

Yay, I walk my kitty every morning. Sometimes, he walks with his harness. Other times, I'll hold him.
    Way 2 go!

I took my cat out on a walk with a leash once, or to be accurate, he took me for a walk, bcos he was the one in charge of where he wanted to go.

my cat only come outside in the garden when we're in the garden too. But Zoe our ragdoll loves to explore, so we want to take here for walks. She is now getting used to the harness, in the garden so we'll be going out shortly

Try taking him out after dark. His eyesight will be better accustomed to the dark and the background noises will be less...he should be way more relaxed and inquisitive...also he may be in hunting mode.

Hey there, love your little flouffs. May I ask how do you deal with dog walkers? Xxx

Hey we actually saw a couple of dogs today and Bluebell didn't even react. I definitely do hold him closer even I see a dog approaching from distance just to be safe as not all dogs will react in the same way

One needs to be careful. Some dogs can react aggressively.

I have a Devon Rex.. he’s 100% a house cat but he wishes he could be free.. he tries escaping sometimes when we’re going in and out of the house so he has to wear a collar. I’ve tried taking him out on a leash but all he wants to do is roll on the floor and get a dirty as possible 😭😭now I’ll take him out on the leash but we just sit on a picnic blanket and he sniffs the air, watches to bugs and enjoys the breeze.
I’m not super scared of him being stolen, I’m more worried about cars and things like poisons for rodents. Also living in Australia people can have a strong hatred towards cats bc they kill endangered wildlife and I’ve heard horrible stories of people running cats over on purpose or catching and killing them 😢
