Klon LLC Live Stream Rescheduled, Art of Bill Finnegan, KTR Changes

- The Inaugural Klon LLC CZcams Channel Livestream has been postponed, citing technical difficulties with the platform and the anticipation is killing me. At this point it's pretty certain the update is regarding the KTR, possibly a new line or variation for future productions. Although there seems to be a chance he's also going to do a tell all about how he's been ripped off on the Klon Centaur Professional Overdrive Circuit.
I might have to keep a tally of every time he mentions the Wish Klon Centaur Clone. I'm still hopeful the Klon CZcams Channel will feature other videos and possibly how to's. I don't know what Bill Finnegan's long term plans are for the Klon LLC Channel but I'll keep an eye on it. - Hudba
I'm thinking of making a tally system to keep count of things he may bring up in the live stream, like "KTR" or "Circuit" or "Diodes" any ideas?
Even still, without the battery hookup, you can still power it with a 9v and an adapter cable if you need to. I'd be more likely to do that, anyway, since it's quicker and I don't have to open the pedal up at all. Just stick a piece of velcro/hook & loop tape on the side and the corresponding piece on the battery and you're set.
I actually just did the exact opposite to power a mid-80s crybaby with the headphone power jack and battery connection.
I used the 9v battery-to-2.1mm adapter to hook to the wah's battery so I could power it with a 2.1mm barrel jack since I didn't have the headphone jack power thing. I started to remove the headphone jack and just replace it with a modern 2.1mm plug but the pedal is still all original so I figured I'd leave it that way for now.
Fair point, and for me power is rarely an issue as much as space on stage has been to make me scale down to “absolutely necessary” pedals. I could see putting 5 or so 9V’s and converters in a gig bag for emergency purposes.
You know, they do make head phone to the more typical power connection converters, could you do one of those to a battery adapter cable? Assuming the negative pin configuration is kept right.
Everybody knows the overdrive is totally the gordita of effects pedals. You know most people are really talking about tostadas, when they describe how gorditas suck, but it doesn't matter, because they both fall apart when you eat them. Enchiladas are way better. There is no pretense that a utinsil is unneeded, when it really is. Plus you can act cool with your Burqueno cousins and order them Chritmas when you are in their town. At any rate, I would be interested to know if Finnegan understands what a tostada is.
If talking about Mexican food as an metaphor, overdrive is the breakfast taco. There can be a lot of variation there, I am personally a fan of chorizo and egg, or Barbacoa tacos, but a lot of people will go for potato and egg or bacon and egg. But everybody goes for bean and cheese.
Also, I think Bill Finnegan has not only heard of a tostada, he may have a perfect Gordita recipe, but he can’t make it very often because the ingredients are hard to source BOOM
@@BGBSATX Meh, OD as a concept is as fallable as the amp it is being used on. So it's a rather nebulous idea, which varies based on what people's idea of breakfast is. Probably the best overdrive ever is a SansAmp run into something soulless and sold state. No tubie go squishy in milk. Grape Nut greatness, indeed.
@@OfficialDroidRevenge Hmm... I agree with you but mostly because most guitarists don't really use know how to use OD to actually overdrive their amp and thus think of it as a flavor of distortion rather than a way to use their amp. I've seen some bad video reviews/demos of pedals, particularly the Klon, where this knowledge is clearly missing. Unless that's your point with the whole tostada/chalupa vs gordita vs enchilada thing. In which case I just took the long way around to agreeing with you.
