I remembered when I saw this episode. I was drinking a glass of water and nearly chocked on my water when the son said he and stepmom got married.
Man my face was like 🤨 the entire episode
I was more dumbfounded by how many things were happening in this episode just by these clips
@@taluca8474yeah I kept thinking what is happening in this episode
Wow. I asked my grandparents "What is wrong with these two? What are they nuts?" when that scene occurred.
I know about cousins or siblings marrying each other, but this is ridiculous
That poor father is in such denial there's no reason why a child that young would make up a story like that unless it's what she saw
Yup, it should be pretty much impossible for her to make up a story about something she should be completely ignorant of. Which is why the very next question after then denial is "You think she is making that up?"
@@Eseerrowezthere are multiple sides in a situation. We don’t know the circumstances of it. In this case the little girl is not making this up
But I mean he does go to get the daughter tho.
Or was coached into by a vindictive person
To be fair he's in denial initially but realizes the truth pretty quickly. It was basically only a reflex to think it wasn't true since it was so awful.
Human nature is disturbing. This show is good at displaying it.

um...yeah. its gross enough that the woman and her stepson hooked it up, but they added more factors when they got married and she blamed him. She should get locked up forever. if she does at the end of the video then retract the statement
It’s like the writers got together and asked each other: “How crazy do you want this?” “….. yes”
I will NEVER forget this episode. I was a little girl when I saw this with my grandparents. The second that little girl told that officer that her stepmother and half brother were in a compromising position, I was SHOCKED. I even told my grandparents to leave the channel right where it's at.

Also spousal privilege only applies if they're married AT THE TIME of whatever it is they're being accused of happened.
That might depend on the state. In NY, I don't think that's the case
Which is how they were using it. In the video he specifically says “anything Gloria told me was after we were married”
@jack they were sleeping together before they got married.
@Leah-iv2ex yes but that wasn't the issue. No one could prove that it was before he turned 17 anyways. This was about the father's murder and not having to incriminate eachother for that
How sick does a MOTHER have to be to know what's she's doing and not only put her young daughter in a position to have to lie when she's too young to even understand what is going on and then on top of that dismiss and call that same young child a liar and say shes making up stories from things seen "on TV" when that young child tells someone about what she saw them doing... so gloria didn't sleep with kyle until after they were married?

In New York, the age of consent is 17.
I think the average across America is 16
Everytime I get side eye for knowing that age of consent in NYC is 17 and not 18.....
"SVU, Im not weird".
This episode and one with the girl with delayed development who looks 13, I remembered.
That woman is obsessed with her stepson and brainwashed him in the process. Enough said.
That’s Peter Herman, who would become Mariska Hargitay’s husband, as the boy’s attorney.
Who knew

That’s when they met! 😊
Ngl, when I heard the boy saying that he and his Stepmom are "married" now..??

I know she’s evil in this episode but Sherilyn Fenn… absolutely gorgeous 😍
I think Sherilyn Fenn should have gotten an Emmy for her performance in this episode.

Why you think the stepson was banging her? 🤣
She's even worse on SWAT about a decade later after this
I was rooting for her tbh, its not like she did anything too bad😂❤

Of Mice and Men
Twin Peaks.
I'm reminded of real-life actress Gloria Grahame (It's a Wonderful Life", "Oklahoma!") who married her stepson. They became...involved...when they first met when the stepson was only 15. The almost incestuous marriage was referred to as "inconvenient". Though it ended in divorce, of Gloria Grahame's marriages it was actually the one that lasted longest. Strange and sad.
Miss Grahame was a talented actress. I sure am glad no one wants to make a movie or tell- all on my life.
@@paulamiles9559 If they made a tell-all about my life. It wouldn't be scandalous. Just a lot of adversity.
Supposedly Gloria Grahame was caught in bed with her stepson by his father when her stepson/future husband was 13 in 1950. She married his father in 1948 when her stepson was 11. She got married to her second husband (her stepson's father) 5 hours after her first divorce was finalized. She was already divorced again by the time her stepson was 15.

Ahahhaaa legit read all of that in Lindsay’s voice 😂
Hard when dealing with kids. Keep up good work
This episode is absolutely unhinged!
Feels like justice and the law are always on the side of the defendant in cases of r@**.
If you're a woman, and you've had normal consensual 'relations' with a man any time in the past, then you're no longer a credible victim. If a woman, does it to you, then it's not even considered a crime, so to speak, 'How could it be?'
If you're a man, or a boy, and this happens to you, and the aggressor is a woman, you've 'scored', so what's the problem? Doesn't even matter if the person was a woman who robbed of your choice to have safe, consensual relations, it's just *shoulder shrug*. If it's a man who did this you, THEN, it's a violation.
So sick, twisted and sad the way we, as a society, sometimes see these things, because these are all acts of violence, whether they're committed by a man or a woman, shouldn't even matter: r@** is r@**.
Either way, your claim as a victim,is under so much more scrutiny than the vile perpetrator who'll refute it, and say 'It was consensual'. It's magnificently absurd how it all works.
Don't even get me started on the statute of limitations for this type of thing..

Although Frank's testimony was enough to get him convicted, he couldn't provide any corroborating evidence against Gloria. But the detectives are able to find a phone call from Gloria which they deduce was her warning Kyle to get out of his apartment in time for the murder.
However, they also determine he could be in danger - Kyle has a trust fund that Gloria, as his wife, will have access to whilst he's in jail. Plus, when he gets out, its entirely possible that Gloria will have him killed as well. They use this to turn Kyle against Gloria, who corroborates that not only did she hire Frank for the hit, but that she also started their relationship whilst he was underage.
They arrest her on the steps of an abortion clinic, where Kyle also serves her with divorce papers.

Dad was worried mom might have been a gold-digger (you think?) so all his riches went to the two kids. By marring the son, she now has control of the money (especially if kid has an unfortunate accident down the road.) She was also sleeping with her personal trainer, who she convinced to kill the dad. When the son finds out the kid was the trainer’s, not his, he divorces his step-mom and testifies they had been boinking since he was 15.

SVU at times can be disgusting and disturbing. Sadly, the cases displayed in show do happen in real life. If the two were actually related...🤢🤢🤮
I think that(in*est) is illegal in America
Wow! The extreme psychopathy of the stepmom.
She marries son to frame him? What would be even more worse to get him in trouble.
I’m a bit rusty on the episode but I think she married the stepson for his money and spousal privilege. The father was smart enough to get a prenup and make sure if he died the money would be in a trust for the kids that she can’t touch.
Sherilyn Fenn is the niece of Suzi Quatro, who played Leather Tuscadero on HAPPY DAYS.
What?? That’s a twist even crazier that what happened on SVU.
What I love about L&O is it shows that women can be just as twisted as men.
Ugh this is so sick.
A great ad for L&O or other series that are repeats would be to have a school kid at a blackboard write Marathon, then say "Marathon, Law and Order SVU Every Wednsday, Marathon."
This is why I couldn’t get through SVU from start to finish. Some of these episodes were too disturbing 😩
