    They have tons of confidence and aren't afraid......Fergus talks a lot about singing before playing something. He makes a really good point with it.......the instrument is merely an amplifier....Sing the music before you play it, it helps with confidence and builds your ear for pitching correctly. Listen to lots of recordings, and take lessons with lots of different people. Not just one person as everyone has something different to offer...a different perspective.

Though regardless of him having a professional reputation and being a very fine player it was very off for him to gesture like that. It could take away from the audience if you know what I mean.

  • @connstellation
    @connstellation Před 15 lety

    for stating his tongue got slow for one reason or another then saying he very visibly shrugged it off? perhaps it's in your school of teaching to make mistakes bluntly obvious however my background has taught me even if you were to make a mistake regardless of why it happened you don't wave a red flag to the audience, specially in recording. I am not a professional however, that is professional performance conduct.

      They do. You have to think about it. The Vienna horns only publish studio records, where they have infinite tries to get the best result. This was live.
      Also, the Vienna horns play almost only film music which you probably like better.
